Title: Does meditating and practicing AP increase energy in your body?

As per the title...

If I have been meditating a lot and practicing astral projection (I have yet to get out), does this raise the energy level in your body? Is regular meditation the key to increase astral projection skills?

The reason I ask, is after I have been trying for several nights to leave my body, I build up a static charge on my body. Whenever I touch my car door, or metal machinery at work, I get a hell of a shock. I also shock other people :-o including my cats! As I say, this only happens after a few days of intense practice every night.

 Meditation and AP goes hand in hand.

 I don't know about raising your actual energy level per say, but I do know you definitely raise you Awareness!  :-)

meditation helps you conserve energy in that your mind doesnt jump from thought to thought, worry to worry, or unconstructive action. You more have the ability to direct your energy to where you want it to go.

So in a sense I would say meditation does increase your overall energy (by conserving it.)

It also allows you to focus your thoughts exactly. You leave the humdrum of the physical world and enter a state of mind where you are alone and surrounded by a peaceful, blissful feeling.
Its not necessary for a NPR experience, but it really does help you through learning to control your mind and thoughts.
You meditate and relax, switch off the world and you're half way there.
