Title: Intent?
Post by: Shenlord on November 17, 2015, 00:56:07
The word intent, strong intent, unstoppable intent keep coming up in the experienced AP'ers' posts. They have said (it seems to me) that intent is a vital and key component in the realization of phasing and NP exploration.

In order to achieve greater phasing/AP facility and success HOW do you improve this capacity, this skill, this experience? What has allowed you to create the intent that has made you successful in AP.

I believe this specific info would be of use to many of us.

intent can be defined best as a never say die attitude.  It results in persistent and consistent effort towards improvement. Intent is ofen confused with focus.  Both are required for improvement of any psychic skill.

Think of focus as short term attention
Intent results in long term attention

I find that a strong focused will creates that intent, so does positive daily affirmations.

But my signature here reiterates what EscapeVelocity so eloquently said above "To be successful with Astral Projection/Non Physical Exploration, your will to succeed must be much stronger than your acceptance of failure".

First is desire followed by a must do mindset and to do anything to satisfy the desire you need intent.
It's a nothing will stop me attitude as if your life depended on it.
Achieve this as part of your mindset and failiure isn't an option.

There are two aspects to "Intent".

There's the "action" Intent, and then there's the "choice" Intent.

Action Intent: http://www.unlimitedboundaries.ca/2012/12/20/what-is-intent/
Choice Intent: http://www.unlimitedboundaries.ca/2014/11/14/societal-intent/

Action Intent is what you use to do any action.  It's the driving force for everything you do.
Choice Intent is the driving force behind WHY you do something.  If you do something out of a self-serving or greedy interest, then the Intent behind that action is quite negative towards your spiritual growth.

When you get out of your body, intent can become very easy to do.   When I am stepping out of myself,  I say now I am flying high with a particular person.   You can say anything you want.

Adding confidence as you believe or once done, know you can do things.

Hi all, I find getting intent is easy when I am stepping out of my body.   When I am in the astral getting that intent never works.    I have made a big beak through in getting what I want to happen.   This morning I imagined myself turning over.    I could feel myself turn over so I knew I could get out of my body.   I stepped out of my body.    I have been saying to myself for weeks and weeks I can do anything I want and it is easy.   I can now turn the door handle and go out through the door.    I looked to see what I was wearing and I was not impressed to see that I was wearing underwear.    I said I am wearing throusers.   Trousers came on me.   I was wearing trousers that had strange colours.    I was not impressed but at least I was wearing trousers so I did not worry about it.     I thought I want to see Tisha, my deceased cat.   It took a little while but she appeared.   I could not do any of those things before no matter how hard I tried.   Now I can do it.
