Title: Sleeping after you die?
Post by: MarsZM on September 10, 2017, 21:42:28
hey guys. I was wondering what you think... If I remember right in William Buhlmans book adventures in the afterlife... He talks about sleeping at a nice house when he passes away from cancer. It's near the beginning.

I was wondering do you think we sleep in our afterlife? Just like we do here? Have dreams.... then wake up in whatever realm we are primarily focused in? Do spirits sleep?

I ask because I get tired of being aware all the time.... Wouldn't it be nice to just black out or go into a coma style blackness whenever we want?  Then kinda wake up later... when we are refreshed and be like oh yeah... okay... and carry on with whatever we are doing?

I dream every night and sometimes I just want to black out into nothingness... just for one night... because it gets so tiring. Some times that happens here in the physical... but what about when you die? It seems like if we are "constantly aware" for eternity... every now and then it would be amazing to just go into blackness. Then snap out of it and be like aw yeah okay... with all memories still intact... and feel nice and refreshed in consciousness instead of perceiving forever and never taking a break.

what do you think?

Sleeping is a physical human thing that really don't apply in spirit terms, but I suppose if that's something you want to do you can. I can understand doing it  the beginning when you die, but continuing it after a while isn't necessary, meaning you won't gain anything from doing it. In my opinion the spirit world would be too exciting to think of doing it, but to each its own.

I know how you feel. I've found the 'void' to be a wonderful place to just be nothing. Now I'm not sure if my void is the same as Bulmans as I have so far not read very much from any of the AP authors. I also don't know if our other selves need the same sort of down time but I do know it's available and that's just fine with me.

... what do you think?

Maybe, for souls, incarnating is like sleeping, except that they incubate a dream to experience and learn.

I think you could do this, but you may find you no longer feel the need when the time comes. Perhaps the tiredness is just part of the limitations of being human. On the other hand if the tiredness is mental perhaps it would persist.

I like to think of our pure consciousness forms as being like an artificial intelligence would be in our reality. They don't really get tired because their being is encoded into an energy structure that is provided by a higher order source, just like our consciousness.

That doesn't mean there cannot be faults in the program that make you experience something like tiredness though. Beyond that, we can put our AI programs to sleep and have them wake themselves up after a certain amount of time has passed. Consciousness must be capable of doing the same, so sleeping for spirits gets the thumbs up from me.

I guess you know that those enlightened are always awake.

Sleeping is your gateway to experiencing the whole of consciousness while you're still a physically bound entity.

There are two reasons we sleep.

One is to reboot the physical brain which cannot survive without a cold reboot at least once every 3-4 days max.  Plenty have tried with pills to go longer but find the brain goes into severe decline.  In our deepest R.E.M. The brain and body is rebooted and any update is applied.  Rather like computers!

we also are busy working elsewhere and sometimes need to have that window to regain the energy for use elsewhere.  Physical is rather demanding so we devote a lot of our energy to the here and now...while we are here.  Some of us have concurrent incarnations going.....a lot of dedicated energy.....it's good to,release and regain some of it during sleep.

When we are gone and are in our light bodies....we don't need rest.  And we use our consciousness trillions of times or more everywhere needed without problems.

It's just physical density that's so demanding.  And I believe paradoxically....so restful.
