Title: I can't view website using google chrome
Post by: Smertrios on June 23, 2019, 18:18:43
I can't view astralpulse with windows10 google chrome. I can check for unread posts but for the last 2 days all I get when trying to view *any* other webpage I get sent a SMF .php file. I just tried a google chrom incognito window and I have no problem viewing the website. I can also login and view astralpulse with microsoft edge. The php file looks like some core definitions maybe a config file...

/* This, as you have probably guessed, is the crux on which SMF functions.
Everything should start here, so all the setup and security is done
properly.  The most interesting part of this file is the action array in
the smf_main() function.  It is formatted as so:

'action-in-url' => array('Source-File.php', 'FunctionToCall'),

Then, you can access the FunctionToCall() function from Source-File.php
with the URL index.php?action=action-in-url.  Relatively simple, no?

I cleared browsing data and the site seems to be working from a normal chrome browser window

I had the same problem using Safari on my Mac and the same thing from my iPhone.  Everything seems to be working now without any effort on my end!   :-)

Everybody had the same problem. These server issues are not new from the Pulse. Thanks for keeping it alive Adrian (or whoever did the fix lol).

Pulse wasn't just down.  There are a number of posts missing as well from Friday.  Couldn't say how many.

I'm having the same issue from my phone's Chrome browser, but it works when I go into Incognito Mode... strange.
I'll relay this information to Adrian.  It has to be something which Google added to the browser.

Still not all is fixed. Whoever relies on the "show unread posts" or similar searches gets a download request or something. It used to be each thread but it is still the special searches. "New posts" should work because many use it I assume.

I don't know if any fixes happened, but I notified Adrian and updated him on the current findings.
He's usually a hard guy to get a hold of though, so patience and for now try clearing your cache.
If that does nothing, reset your browser completely and see if that helps.

Resetting your browser seems to fix the issue.
