I'm with Stookie - my mind can get pretty offended....!! And a single purpose/focus helps to get into the 'silence'...

I have found that I imagine the process of my thoughts being like a leaking roof and to stop the leaks I have to patch them up, or funnel them into a place that is away from my current consciousness, I'll just push them aside as it were.

It, for me, is one of the greatest challenges I have ever faced because I used to think that 'wayward' or 'random' thoughts were a source of great inspiration and creativity. They are, to a certain extent, but I'm learning that it's when you channel them and focus them that the true 'power' comes....

I have read a little about 'The Silence' and would love it if you can tell me if there is any relation to it and AP's...

Also, does anyone know of any ways to 'practice' the silence and can you get into the silence using music as a guide? (It's probably a weird question, as the silence implies no noise - but I find I can be more 'silent' when listening to affirmations/something relaxational - does this make sense? And am I in the Silence if there is music playing?)

I am new to this forum, my name is Johnny and I'm a musician/producer.
