First to all questioners ...

My response here was for the thread author to consider. I will not be responding to other individual requests for information. You can easily find it on your own. It is on the Internet in very common places.

If someone is genuinely interested specifically in the Christ experience, I would suggest becoming a reader of Paul Selig's books. I have read one (The Book of Mastery) twice, and it was a highly "experiential" each time. There was a definite energetic for me when reading the book.

Finally, I am not surprised by the multiple responses here. I would suggest that if you are genuinely curious, then do your own work!

-----------------

Ryan ...

I am more than happy to set you on a path to where you can find the historical information for yourself.

If you are actually interested (and not being rhetorical in your questioning ... as in "prove it to me"), then I would suggest it would be easiest to start with Wikipedia. It will require some work. You will find bibliographies there at end of articles, which can function as a map for you to the historical sources. It will be important to find references to the key historians of that time period (for example Flavius Josephus, but there is Eusebius and even others). Being willing to look at the historians up to 200 AD, because the historians of that period cite earlier historians like Josephus.

I would suggest specific searches first on Flavius Josephus and Jesus. Then, look to the bibliographies.

You will need to use Google to find images of individual documents that you are interested in (they will not be in English). You will then need to find English translations. This process will provide what you are requesting. There is a clear, non-biblical history of that time (e.g., not using the Bible as a reference). Jesus is sometimes referred to as "Jeshua bin (ben) Joseph" in the historical records. And if do not wish to do that work, then that is fine. But the "historian trail of information" is out there, and visual images of many of the original historical writings of the day are now accessible from the Internet.

Finally, Adyashanti co-wrote a book about Jesus (Resurrecting Jesus). I am not suggesting that as a reference, but I know that he is someone who interests you (so I mention it).

Ah this is what you were referring to. I guess I was hoping it would be something new to explore.

Yes, it has been proven that there were many people named Jesus at the time. Also, that it is highly probably that the Yeshua, born to Yosef is the Jesus which people refer to today, however this has not been proven with absolute certainty. Then again, I never felt like the what people didn't believe in was his existence.

Fun Fact: God was originally a man born in Russia
2  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: I thought I was Jesus!! on: June 03, 2017, 03:36:15
I've love to read some if you have any to share, because as far as I've seen... there isn't and he isn't.

I second this. I would very much appreciate seeing proof that Jesus from the bible actually existed or even proof of events which happened in his stories would be very interesting.

3  Metaphysics / Welcome to Metaphysics! / Re: Proof of life after physical death: 3 videos on: June 02, 2017, 12:43:39
I didn't expect this.

This was really interesting to watch and has given me much to think about.
4  Metaphysics / Welcome to Metaphysics! / Re: Seeing the future in Deja vu... on: June 02, 2017, 10:37:56
I think discussions like this are very interesting. Also, how would a dream journal help me to make sense of deja vu?

I have cases of unexplained deja vu, but two of them stand out for me. They have been the reason I rely so much on my intuition and will follow my intuition, regardless of the circumstance. In fact, I would be very keen to get a better sense of my intuition and what it has to say.

There have been a few times where my intuition and feeling like I had been there before probably saved my life. I wonder if anyone has any ideas on my experiences.

Deja vu 1: This came in the form of a nightmare. I was walking home at night, the same way I always walk home after a night out drinking. As I passed my mates house and went to cross the field, I was attacked by a man and his dog, who were inside a parked van on the road. I still remember this nightmare as it left a very deep impression on me. That weekend, I go out drinking, I start to walk home at around 3am, the same route I always take. As I am approaching my mates road, I was walking past the first field, I saw a van drive past me and the driver seemed look at me and turn his head as he drove past. So, being weary, I thought I would pretend to start walking across the field, but continue along the road once the van was out of sight. As I reached the end of the road, where there is a gas station, I didn't notice the van and continued towards my friends road. A little later, the van appeared at the road on the other side of the field. A man with a dog jumped out and looked around. I thought that it could just be that he was walking his dog, until I saw him staring in my direction and get back in his van. At this point I wasn't too far away from where my nightmare occurred. I saw the van make a U-turn and start coming back towards my direction. The van drove past me and continued down the road, but as he past me, I saw him stare at me again. At this point, my gut was screaming out for me to stop, I was 90% sure that if I continued to walk away from the shops then something bad would happen. I stopped and went back to the gas station as it has CCTV and is open 24/7, from there I called my parents and asked what to do, they booked a cab to pick me up. As I walked to the curb to check if the driver was there, I saw the man in the van drive past the gas station and stare at me. I decided to wait inside the gas station for my driver. I saw the van come back down the road it had previously drove down and drive towards the field in the direction I would normally walk. The cab arrived after and took me home.

This was honestly one of the most terrifying experiences that I have had in my life. The van drove in 3 different directions, but still continued to loop back and follow me. If it wasn't for the nightmare, I wouldn't have even been suspicious of a van driving past me.

Deja vu 2: This was more of a deja vu, gut feeling situation.Long story short. Selling a load of tickets all day, fair bit of cash on me, friend says he knows someone who will buy the last of them, don't really want to go but agree because it is close to mates house, walk to my mates first and say we can go to the pub afterwards. As I am crossing the bridge over the motor way, we pass a group of 3 lads, hoods up, hats on, just walking silently without talking to each other. As we pass the group, I stop because I had a feeling of deja vu, then I started to get a bad feeling. This is when the person I am meant to meet starts walking over the bridge towards me. I am now getting a very, very bad feeling. The boy arrives and says that he only brought half the money, but it's fine, we can walk to his and grab the rest, pointing towards the direction the 3 lads were walking. I don't agree and we start walking to the other side of the bridge, then notice the 3 lads start crossing bridge back towards us. Thought I was lucky as we were on the opposite side, we are jumped by a group of lads waiting on that side, they pull out various weapons and begin to wail on me and my friend as the others run towards us. Because I am a big guy, we managed to get away and run onto the motorway with only a few bruises & scrapes.

My mate still brings this up even though it happened about 6 years ago. We were lucky that we didn't go back onto the bridge, otherwise we would have got our heads kicked in with nowhere to run. This is what made me cut ties with a lot of people who I felt were not good mates.

I guess now that I am older and my life is less exciting, my deja vu has also got less frequent. I very rarely encounter situations where my intuition pulls me in the other direction as much anymore. I do still get deja vu and have things happen which I remember from my dreams. Still, it would be nice to know what is causing it and how to better tap into it.
5  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Do you listen to opposing political views? on: June 01, 2017, 07:25:22
Political, no I never go out of my way to listen to politicians. There are plenty of other places to encounter lies, deceit and slander. My political views fall in line with this, so just don't give me any power.

Religious views, I have listened to many different views. There are plenty of other places to encounter lies, deceit and exploitation. I have no time for these, only the few peaceful religions.

What I enjoy listening to most, is educated atheists debating with religious people i.e Stephen Fry and Ricky Gervais. I enjoy the comedy aspect of it, but also the reasoning behind their arguments. Because if any god is eternal love & good, they would never allow the suffering that they have.

I guess I am structuring my beliefs around that.

It is always good to listen to the views of others, I guess it just depends on what you believe to be important.
6  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Do you find that people cant accept that your a astral projector on: June 01, 2017, 06:44:37
I haven't gone out of my way to tell anyone, it's not something I ever felt the need to introduce to a normal conversation. I sometimes tell people about my experiences, but this is generally to people who are like minded or would benefit from it.

I will tell my family, if I think they are open to listening. Otherwise we never talk about beliefs or spirituality.

If you are advertising yourself as an astral projector to everyone to be known as one, in the words of Kendrick Lamar; Sit down, be humble

I have never really encountered this. I was named after Alexander the great, but that is about as close as I get.

I never really had any sort of delusions of grandeur, I think it was because of how powerful, glorious and superior I was when compared to everyone else.  grin
8  Spiritual Evolution / Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Re: We have chosen to be physical on: May 31, 2017, 09:07:12
This is what my reiki teacher says :
"We have chosen to be physical in a physical universe. The important words here are chosen and physical. We had the choice to be non-physical but we decided against it, we wanted to experience being God through physical means.
Why therefore, having made this choice, should we then be trying to develop and experience these non-physical parts of ourselves? To us it just seems to be an unnecessary waste of energy to be focusing on something we have chosen, in the first place, not to be.
The same could be said of these people who spend their whole lives in continual meditation in some cave up a mountain in Tibet or somewhere.
Why are they doing it?
It would seem, to us, that these people - far from displaying profound spiritual understanding – are missing the point completely.
You have come to a physical universe to be physical, so BE physical.
Don’t worry about all these other bodies and other planes of existence for now. They are there, and they are already a part of you. It can be no other way.
They will not disappear and your ‘spirituality’ will not suffer, even if you don’t give them any energy at all. Far better, we think, to concentrate instead, on understanding physical life from a physical perspective.
It is, after all, the reason you came.
You see, there are too many people going around trying to be something they are not, out of a profound misunderstanding of who they are and why they are here.
They think that spiritual ‘growth’ has to be about withdrawing from life and that only by dedicating oneself purely to meditation, chanting, ritual, and prayer will it be possible for spiritual understanding and enlightenment to manifest itself.
Just know that none of this is necessary.
What is the point of struggling and striving to be what you already are. You already are fully enlightened for you are God. You just don’t remember this fact yet, that’s all. Chicara-Reiki-Do "

Your teacher has found this to be the answer to his question. As a student, you must take their teachings and find your own answer.  You have your own path which you must follow, mine lies here in the physical which I may or may not have chosen. The only one who can find this answer is you.
9  Spiritual Evolution / Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Re: every man occupies just that position in society which he is qualified to occupy on: May 31, 2017, 08:49:15
Since this is a very limited quote, I will go from my perspective on the subject. If you do not teach a person engineering, he will never be a qualified engineer.

If you are the interference which will help them complete their lesson and end their burden, wouldn't refusing to do so be a negative impact on your own karma?
10  Magic / Welcome to Magic! / Re: The law of attraction is real and it start working with me on: May 31, 2017, 08:25:55
This was an informative read.

I also believe this, I have been charging crystals with certain intent. I believe they will work and so I find the world changing according to the strength of my belief. This has worked very well with my business and the income is gradually increasing over time. When it was stagnant for the last 12 months.

@Fresco, I don't see how paying tax relates to karma in any way. But if you believe that it does, I have established a attraction tax of 90%, please make sure to pay me for all the overdue returns. Thank you kindly.  evil
11  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Is there racists in the astral? on: May 27, 2017, 05:59:35
I guess the only thing I can add in here is my own belief as none of us really know.

I have been working with a belief which I wish to explore over time, it is that the consciousness is me, but I am not the consciousness. So in a way I am you and you are me, but at the same time we are still ourselves.

So in that respect, I believe that there can be individual prejudices in the astral. Because while we are all part of the consciousness, we are not the same. Which leads me to believe that the beings we see in the astral could also be separate parts of the consciousness, just as we are.

@Xanth, thinking all the water in the tub is the same. I find this offensive on behalf of water, which is part of me.  tongue
12  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / SPIDERS!!! Crawling on my face on: May 27, 2017, 04:39:38
Ok,

A bit of background information;

I have been doing a great deal of energy work. The constant effort has slowly started to bear fruits, allowing me to focus the energy in my arms before moving it through my body. Along the way, I began to notice more mentions of energy and consciousness in my day to day life, which I believe are signs that I am moving on the correct path. I read a few things regarding crystals and that some people believed that crystals contained a form of their own consciousness, so I decided to get some crystals and see for myself. Long story short, I now have different crystals which I have charged to aid me with AP & energy work.

What happened;

I wanted to attempt phasing with the help of crystals. I laid on my bed, started to relax and sense my energy body with the crystal gripped in my hand, laid on my chest. I am focusing on charging up my energy to attempt an energy bounce. I have been at this for around 5 minutes, when a moth starts headbutting my arm and breaking my focus. I stopped, waited 20 minutes and started again.

This time I felt something moving up my elbow, up my arm and over my hand holding the crystal. I thought it was the moth and did my best to ignore it, but then it started to move up my chest to my shoulder. At this point in my mind I saw the image of a large spider looking at me. This begged the question of whether it was a spider crawling on me. I thought that it would be a good idea to open my eyes and check. Then I noticed the spider, having a jolly ol' stroll down my left arm.  I blew the spider off my arm, then to avoid it crawling all over me, I got up, grabbed a piece of paper then dropped the spider off on the other side of the room.

Time to try again. Everything is going well and I have been undisturbed for around 10-15 minutes and can sense that floating feeling. Then I suddenly notice the spider is on the same arm, this time, I don't believe that it means me any harm, so I attempt to ignore it and continue. I feel the spider settle on my left shoulder and continue. About 30 seconds later, I feel the spider crawling up my neck, I ignore it. Then onto my face, its becoming harder to ignore. Then over my lips, at which time I sat up and blew it off my again.

Now as I look down at the spider who is motionless on my bed. I started to talk to it, hoping it could understand that my face was off limits. This was when I noticed sensation, as I turned my head I noticed there was another spider, still on my left shoulder. This scared and shocked me, causing me to do what I can only describe as a scared rain dance.

I was now getting frustrated. I moved both the spiders away from the bed again.

Third time is the charm.
I began again. I had only begun gathering energy into my hands, when I felt the spider on me again. Needless to say the spider duo had returned. I stopped, moved them out of the house and stopped my attempts for the time being.

I didn't really know where to post this, what it would fall under or if it had any relation to energy work or AP. I found it strange that they continued to come back again and again. Google only told me that it meant; 1) It's a bad omen or 2) Money is coming my way. While I did buy crystals for wealth & prosperity, money spiders are tiny, these were not tiny.
(I live in London, so I wasn't very worried about being bitten and the biggest one only had around a 20mm long body.)

Can anyone point me in the right direction to look???
What did this mean??
Why are spiders suddenly in love with me & how do I apply this to the Swedish volleyball team?  grin

Thank you for reading & any guidance is appreciated.
13  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: My experience, questions and UNICORNS! on: May 12, 2017, 04:36:12
"The Doorway" is a great practice to learn how to hold your focus during the act of Phasing. Which is also known as "noticing". In that, you jumpstart a visual and keep with it as it continues to morph. Your focus is then "there' instead of here.

The "Phantom Wiggle" is based on "disassociation". Every day you practice simple things, that begin with you closing your eyes and reaching out to things with your "etheric" body. Ex: The tree in the backyard is about 100 feet form my window here. I can see it. So to practice a disassociation technique, I would close my eyes and reach out to it or will myself to it. I would then feel the bark, the leaves. Look at the ground etc. By doing this I am using a visual, but more focused on the "tactile" part of this. I get a "dual awareness" whereas I still feel what my physical body is experiencing. Another good one is simulating a driving experience or a Rollercoaster ride, oaring a boat, etc. In each of those you almost instantly feel the motion.

Through the years here I have create threads with all kinds of fun techniques. under my current name "Lumaza" and my former name "Lionheart". Be creative. You need to find what kind of focus works for you. Time to do some experimenting. Just make sure you give each tech a "honest go", before you move onto the next. You can start with something I do, but then alter it to what you like.
There is no "Blueprint" here set in stone!  smiley

Thanks, I will give it all a shot and see if I can find some other gems I might have missed.  grin

What time off day do you try astral project ? becuase with my experience if i try astral projecting at night as i fall asleep its easier to enter into sleep paralysis and enter the vibrational stage unlike if i  try straight after a dream which has most success for me as i usually find that my astral body just sort off moves out and you dont need to deal with your human body holidng onto your astral body as strongly as it would say during the time you are wide awake and needing to play tug of war with your human body to cause a seperation between your astral body  and your human body

I will always try at night before bed, there have only been a few times where I went to bed without making an attempt over the last month. I will also try again in the morning on occasion.

However over the past 10 days, I have been on a muscle sparing water fast to detox and cleanse my body. During this time I have been making an attempt at night, in the morning and then again in the afternoon for a few hours while doing energy work and meditation between then. I haven't actually had the greatest of luck at night as I find it harder to remain focused or just fall asleep. What has been working for you?

I think one of the hardest things for me is sleep paralysis. While I can easily switch into a trace state where my body is numb and breathing by itself, I never have gotten to full sleep paralysis where I couldn't move at all. When I sleep, I have been known to sleep talk, sleep walk and occasionally act out my dream (headbutting, punching & kicking) all while remaining asleep. I have had full conversations with people who didn't realise I was sleeping until I said something which made no sense, then as they keep talking to me, I eventually wake up. It runs in the family, I have been like it since I was young and I know my dad is the same.

I really want to get full sleep paralysis, but that is easier said than done from my experience. Since it has never stopped me acting out my dreams.
14  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: My experience, questions and UNICORNS! on: May 10, 2017, 23:00:58

Question 1 you can astral project everynight any time really or multiple times a day but you need to remember to have and find a  balance off astral reality and physical reality

The way i learned how to astral project was to use the rope method where you relax and then visualise that your climbing a rope and you find that you enter the vibrational stage continue to climb until you find yourself out off body but it wont take you to the astral world but the RTZ (real time zone ) and i transition from the real time zone to the astral world but remember there are loads off techniques out there some work better then others depending on the individual

If there is any i can give dont fear in the astral world your thoughts manifest instantly and your energy can attract different types off enterties as long as you dont fear which is kinda hard on your first time astral projecting and make sure you have good positive intentions

Weapons are not needed on the astral realm you will encounter things that might not have the best intentions much like you encounter people on this physical reality but you find just sending positive loving energy at most negative beings will course them to flee

And i got to admit your list is a really good list it shows your desire for knowledge but you find that just the thought off flying will cause you to fly at light speed your possibilites are endless you can fly to space fly to different planets or just think about it and instantly be there but i got to admit the akashic records is hard to get to and even when you get there in my experience if you dont have a guardian angel with you while you access your akashic records it can be really hard to find the answers you want

Anyway i hope this helps happy traveling my friend and welcome to the astral pulse community

Thank you for your response. I have found this forum to be a fountain of knowledge and eventually I have pieced together some of the answers to my original questions. I didn't really fear the astral, I feel like it was more the fear of unknown and leaving my body. Since then I have done a few meditations to release my bottled up emotions, or as us brits call it "stiff upper lip". Finally letting go of my grief and anger has already helped me on many different levels. So your warning was quite correct, I had alot which would have influenced my experience.

Hmm, for some reason I missed this thread.

Your first answer is you had experienced a "non local state of consciousness". You can call that a LD/OBE, Phase, etc. But as long as you weren't focused here on this immediate physical realm, the term fits.

Your first attempts show that you still haven't learned to control your fears. Because of that, you are experiencing "self imposed" blocks. Swallowing, some kind of panic on what kind of ladder is proper, etc.

You got better with practice, as will happen. You learned to relax and "allowed" the experience to go further.

Your title "Slight success" on Attempt 21-25 is misleading though. You found some form of learning and success in every attempt. In other words, you gradually got better. That's progress and success in a nutshell.

Now to your follow up questions.
 1. Yes, you do it every night, but you aren't consciously aware of that fact. You can learn how to stay conscious well into the Dream cycle. The Tibetans' call it "Tibetan Dream Yoga".
2.Yes you can access the Source. First you need to go through a learning curve. In other words, you need to walk before you can run. A focused will and Intent is everything in this practice. Thought = action instantly over "there". So, you must learn to control your thoughts. Then there is also learning how to "navigate" and "be" over there.
 3. Keep doing what you are doing. I love using "motion related" techniques. I also have some techniques for learning helping you learn to "disassociate" yourself from your body. You can practice there daily and they do really help.
 http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/how_exactly_do_you_perform_the_phantom_wiggle_method-t44583.0.html
 4. My only answer to your last question is "Change your mindset, you change your reality". You will learn that things here in the physical aren't really what you thought they were. Your NP experiences will show you things that will challenge your beliefs. Keep a open mind. Once you think you have all the answers, school will be over. That doesn't mean that you "graduated" though. It just means that you are content where you are and that is where you will stay. I find that opening your mind to more will mean that you will still be taught more!  smiley

You are doing great. You are going about this like a true Researcher and Explorer. When you get there, learn to "observe" before you question something. You can question it later. There is a lot to observe!  cool

Thank you for your response. I will now look into dream yoga for guidance.

@ your second answer, is there any specific method(s) you would recommend for focusing intent? I am trying a little of everything when it comes to my energy work at the moment and finding what the best fit for me is, so I am fully open to being directed towards a method I might have overlooked or missed.

I have been doing a great deal more work on myself and while I may seem a tad sceptical, you will find that I always remain completely open minded, even when it comes to thing I think I know. I have my own beliefs at the moment, but the only thing I know for sure is how little I actually know and even then, I might be wrong. While at the moment, I would prefer a tank, the moment I see that love works better, I am open to change.

@3, are you referring to 'the doorway'? or are there others you can point me towards? I have just found your post and will start using this technique as part of my daily ritual.

While this forum is a fountain of knowledge. There is a great deal of information and sometimes what you are looking for can be missed.  grin

15  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Belief Territories on: May 09, 2017, 08:44:00
Those are some interesting, if absolutely incorrect, presumptions you've made there. If I wanted to go into any Belief System Territory I'd just intend to go there. And if I intended to retrieve someone, that would be co-dependent upon the will of the entity I wished to retrieve. But I have no intention of imposing my will on anyone else or judging them for where they linger.

Having said that, everything is Santa Claus; this physical reality is also dependent upon all of us who continuously observe it into existence with our belief/intent, no different than Paradise. The difference is only in your perception of the two. Ho, ho, ho!

I feel like some people are getting a little touchy over the whole Christian/Muslim etc. Mainly because they are belief systems which have been deeply rooted into our civilisation and it is a touchy subject for some.

While the presumptions were made. I have to say that I agree with the message, just the delivery was antagonistic. While your goal might not be as previously assumed above, from reading your posts it seems like your belief is strongly siding with heaven being a viable option when crossing over.  In this regard, I feel like it was already mentioned.

I don't think that the "Belief System Territories" are necessarily "bad" or undesirable places to end up in after you transition. Apparently most of us have been there many times. The point is to understand the reason for their purpose in the first place and why and when we should be ready to move beyond them as a waypoint in our spiritual evolution.

There a good chance you went, but didn't stay.  evil

Some people might have stayed and have no intention of leaving, who knows? Some people are happy being able to count to 9, others strive for numbers beyond 9, while a few are looking to create new numbers beyond what was previously recorded.  I guess it really depends on if your goal is to count past 9 or not. You can answer your own question here, since you went to college, I guess you didn't stop counting at nine.
16  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Lost control of lucid dream / strange turn on: May 09, 2017, 08:06:01
I just had this last night and thought I would share.

I have been doing a lot of energy work through the days and then every night and then again in the morning, I have been listening to guided astral projection meditations. This has actually given me a few lucid dreams, but unfortunately no OBE yet that I remember.

The dream started as a concert type event where I was just having a good time. This is where it started to become lucid and the music/party theme changed to a song I knew, tonight alive: lonely girl and into a foam party. Strangely the band was all male, but female vocals, and it now looked like a party from a hangover movie. This is the song if anyone is interested :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrkfkwzChoM

I started to think of the lyrics, then suddenly I am in what looked like a dark old fashioned jazz bar which was crowded with people (leather seats in the dark), but no music was playing. At this point I noticed a woman sitting to the side of me. She immediately drew my full attention, I just felt a strange attraction when I looked at her and it was like I couldn't take my eyes off her, but when I looked at her I already knew that I was doing something wrong, so I started to curiously look at her while half leaning my head on the chair. She then appeared amused as she smiled towards me as if it was natural, at that point I felt like everyone was now paying attention to me. This was when I panicked on what to do. I felt like I had been caught red handed doing something I shouldn't. I close my eyes and begin "pretending to be sleep" mode, so that everyone's response would be "He wasn't doing that, he was just sleeping with his head turned in that direction." However at this point it felt like I had fully lost control of the dream as nothing was going the way I wanted and I could feel the attention on me. I then heard a voice say my name into my ear, when I didn't respond the voice said "[my name], are you really just going to pretend to sleep?"  [END]  Shortly after the voice called my name the second time, I woke up with a jolt.

So anyone have an interpretation of this which might help me figure it out?

I actually woke up feeling embarrassed and confused. Part of me thinks that my mind is trying to tell me something. Another part of me thinks it was my mind letting out the crazy. I think the strangest thing for me was the voice calling me out on "pretending to be asleep". It is probably the first time I have been called out in my dream, and called by name. Plus I lost complete control of the dream.

Has anyone ever encountered something like this?

I also wanted to add that I felt like it might be my mind trying to tell me something. After writing it all down, I have a theory now.

Maybe it was about when I spoke to my friends and family about why I suddenly started meditating and I mentioned my belief in OBE's. Like I am attracted to having an OBE again, but embarrassment and panicking when close are what are holding me back?

Am I really just going to "Pretend to be asleep" but not take the final hurdle.

OR I could be finding connections where there aren't any. Atleast this is helping me deal with it, I guess.
17  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Lost control of lucid dream / strange turn on: May 09, 2017, 07:56:25

He was actually one of the people who got me very interested in AP and lucid dreaming. I think he has great information and I do enjoy watching his videos.

I have two others which I have found useful and very informative when I was looking for information and help. I feel they could possibly be of help for others attempting to undergo the same journey.

Are there any other Youtubers which others would recommend? If we could all list a few, this would be a great resource for everyone.

Now I have an account, I can reply.

Thank you for sharing your book. I found it extremely interesting and filled with great information.

Unlucky.

If you have any success then please do share. It would be great if someone could figure out a technique which allows us to just force ourselves to phase into the astral. Imagine being able to just lay down on your bed or sofa and *snap* you are projecting.

I was a little too excited when I saw this title.  grin
21  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / My experience, questions and UNICORNS! on: April 24, 2017, 17:52:54
Hello,

I am new here, I have spent quite a few hours going through posts on this forum and sifting through posts which are over 10 years old for information. I felt it would be good for me to share my experience, what brought me here and hopefully discuss with everyone to find a solution to some of my questions & goals.

Let me first start with my experience. When I was young (age 6-11), I believe I had quite a few OBE's which I thought to be dreams i.e those times when I tried waking my parents up, but they couldn't hear me, only to wake up in bed crying because I didn't exist anymore. It was mainly just me in the house or very close by, doing absolutely nothing, but remembering it very clearly. That is until I had a 'dream' which changed everything and I have been unable to get it out of my head ever since. I woke up in my bed one morning and my first thought was "Oh no! I've overslept my alarm again, I need to get to school."  This was then followed by me flying out my window, down my street and towards my school with shocking speed, I got lost in the experience for a few seconds as it all felt so natural, until it hit me that I was flying through the air, followed by me shouting in joy "YEAH! I'm flying". It was at this point when the pesky voice in the back of my head said "Yeah, but how are you flying? You couldn't fly before this." So at this point, I am floating 20 feet in the air, unable to move, trying my best to swim through the air using the good ol doggy paddle technique. I was stuck! I thought "How do I fly?" and the response I got in my head was "You just fly!", "BUT HOW???". About a minute later and after several different attempts, I couldn't figure out how to fly. I looked down at the ground and the thought "What if I fall?" came into my head, followed by overwhelming panic and fear, followed by me waking up.

This stuck with me and I still vividly remember the feeling of flying. I was 100% aware of myself and where I was, especially since I was answering myself in my head (yes I actually do this, even now in my mid 20's). So what are your opinions? Was this an OBE or just a very strange and vivid dream???  Youtube recommended a video about "lucid dreaming" to me around 2 months ago, and now here we are.

Attempts at Lucid dreaming/OBE

*Relax- I say this alot, but I mean when my jaw opens by itself and I am 90% sure I will find a way to swallow my tongue. (I know it's unlikely as it is attached to my mouth, but I will somehow manage it)

Attempt 1
This was me attempting to will my body into sleep and visualise a ladder which I was climbing with some strange arms coming out of my back (Because real arms could never bend that way!) This was 60 minutes of me swapping between different types of ladders, because the standard wooden ladder was a clear violation of astral health & safety.

Attempt 2
This time I try to put on meditation music so I can focus on that and stop talking to myself. It works, I am relaxed, I am focused completely on the sensations of my body and the binaural beats. I have tingles in my toes and soon in my fingers, my stomach starts to tingle and then as the beat continues I get a tingling above my brow and can feel like pulsing energy. I know right, you are thinking "OMG IT CANT BE!!", but it's true, I actually became a unicorn.  On a serious note, this actually opened my mind on chakras, which I hadn't considered before. If I can feel it, it must be real, atleast for me.

Attempt 3-20
This time, there was a period where I was focusing on meditating and learning about that chakra voodoo. I could feel it, this time I would make it happen. I have multiple techniques to try, now to test them all!
a) Now I thought I would try my own "Sit up Method", I was going to relax and focus on myself doing sit ups in my mind, then as I drifted, I would do an 'astral' sit up and BOOM! Didn't work.
b) Rope technique, I couldn't decide on how the rope should look and I kept thinking "but that will hurt my hands if I grab it!"
c) Roll out technique, I am relaxed, drifting, start to feel it and BOOM! all my muscles tensed to stop myself from rolling, my visualisation was TOO good.
d) Visualising myself on my rowing machine, rowing back and forth constantly. I can imagine it, I can feel the grip in my hands. this visualisation is on point. 30 minutes in "I should be well out of breath by now!" - That annoying inner voice spoiled it all for me.
e) Now I visualised walking down a peaceful beach, taking a walk in the woods, riding my bike. Cant stick with anything. It always leads to me talking to myself.

Attempt 21~25 ~ slight success
At this point, I have given up on visualising anything. I can't focus that way. Now I am going to focus on sound and hope to get the pulses I felt when I became a unicorn, but try to remain focused on the beat until I can leave my body. 40 minutes later, I feel a small vibration which I first feel in my hands (I know this because at this point, I wasn't even sure I still had hands until that point). I get so excited that all my focus now has to go on stopping the huge grin I have on my face. ~ excitement killed all of these attempts as it was starting to work (I think).

Attempt 26 ~I don't like these vibrations
This time, I have found theta wave beats to listen to. Quite quickly, I feel the 'thum, thum, thum' travelling through my body and I thought this could be the one. I keep focusing on the beat and letting everything else fade away. I feel a pulsing through my entire body, suddenly I feel 'THUM' go through my torso and my chest, it was so powerful that I felt like my body couldn't contain it. 'THUM' 'THUM' 'THUM' It started to get faster and it felt like waves of power building in my chest. At this point, it felt like soon the 'THUM' pulses would become so fast it would just be a continual pulse going through my body. I freaked out thinking that this might be my heart trying to clock out while I wasn't paying attention, I stop immediately in full panic mode.

Attempt 27-28 ~ Strange feelings.
This one I am not sure of. I have found that my success at focusing on a beat rather than a visual image allows me to shut everything out except the beat, it is probably because I live in a noisy environment which can be very distracting. This time I wanted to try white noise, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec2RxsPp8vg
a) This works really well. I drop into relaxation quicker than before. I start to feel a slight pulse, I clear my mind and just let the sound wash over me. ~ sleep
b) Same again. I am on the edge now, this time however I don't feel any pulses or vibrations and just lay there. I was laying there for almost 2 hours when I had a strange sensation. I am still struggling to describe it, but it felt like I was deep inside my body, but also outside my body (if that makes sense) It felt like my awareness had sunk 2 inches into my body, but I could now sense 2 inches outside my body. It felt like sitting inside a car but feeling the air rush past the outside of the car. When I started to concentrate on WTF was happening to me, I broke my focus and decided to stop and try to research what happened. I couldn't figure out what happened and since I don't know how to explain it, it is very hard to google.
Does anyone have an idea or some information that might help?

A few questions.

  • How frequently are you able to Astral Project? (Can it be done every night?)
  • Are there any techniques or practices which can be done here, to benefit your projected self? (i.e Squats wearing only a tinfoil bikini will build energy in the body to use in the astral?!?)
  • Is there any advice which you think might help me personally?
  • LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! IS IT REALLY THE BEST WEAPON? ~ Me personally, I believe I am a good person, but I am not a saint. I have no trouble with love, respect and caring for others, I would never harm someone without just provocation. However I see alot of people saying to love thy enemy etc. I read about people encountering nasty entities which try to harm them, so they send a care bear love heart at the entity, the entity then gives them a big hug and goes away to torment and torture some other poor soul. This never sits right with me. I am not that person, I will never be that person and never want to be. This worries me a little when I read around online. (Not as much when I see that same 'love' person directing endless hate towards someone because they made a comment they didn't like, yet the entity which attempted to torture them and cause them suffering left with a hug. Make me think I might still have a chance) Will this mindset an issue in the astral? I have boundless love and I am happy to share it, but when a stranger runs at me with a sword, trying to cut my head off, I would prefer a tank to defend myself, not love (if I am being 100% honest.)

My Goals

I wanted to write this down and share it, hoping it would concrete them in my mind and allow me to succeed.

1- Visit the Akashic Records for a few things.
a) If all the planes are connected, there must be a path to transcend in the physical. So I will search for the technique to go super saiyan so we can instant transmission into a higher plane. Someone must have done it, if not, maybe someone will. I don't believe in impossible. I believe that everything is energy, we are surrounded by the energy of the universe which gives life to all, but we just don't know how to use and absorb this energy.
b) See the lives of Budha, Guru Padmasambhava & many others. There are many stories throughout the ages of people who transcended or reached a higher plane of existence. I hope their experience can help me on my path.
c) To learn.
2- Learn to fly. I still remember the freedom of flying and how it felt so natural to just zoom through the air to where I wanted to go.
3- Travel and see the mysteries of the world. I am a big traveller, I love to travel and see other cultures. I need to answer the big question- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbyzgeee2mg
4- Finish my transformation into a unicorn.

Has anyone done anything similar or found themselves having similar goals? Maybe even found their own answers to share?

Also, hello everyone  grin
