1  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / swirling waves of darkness... anyone else? on: October 03, 2014, 00:55:46
... I always see this as I'm starting to "shift".  It's one of those things that is consistent with every OBE I've had.  Always the beginning stage... "blast off", so to speak.  Does anyone else experience this effect too?  What/Where the hell is it?

In detail:  eyes shut - blackness w/ millions of little bright dots that are vibrating.  Focus on one area.  Waves of black smoke/inkblot-like --- begins swirling across my field of view... more intense as time goes by.  All the while seeing different shapes and flashes of light in it's background.  And the "feeling" that I'm about to go for a ride.
2  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Anyone else having sudden trouble projecting? on: April 23, 2013, 04:38:57
I've been in a slump for almost a year now --- after having experiences about twice a month for a few years.  But, I already know why... I started getting really afraid and it just kept getting worse.  So, now I'm in a slump 'till I get my head out of my ass  undecided
3  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Fears and anxieties... abolished? on: January 09, 2013, 03:19:52
I'm curious if anyone has had any experience with "curing" or rather, "ridding" yourself of a particular fear and/or anxiety.  Essentially, using the non-physical as a battleground for ridding yourself of fears that plague you in the physical.
I used to have AP experiences pretty regularly for about a year, and they gradually became less frequent, and ultimatley non-existent for several months now.  I'm ready to dive back in now.
4  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: My 15th OBE on: June 20, 2012, 04:24:47
Thank you for sharing 8bit. The Shamanic meaning for the totem Bear is Protective Mother, Hidden Strength, inward looking and to know one's self. Any and all of those could define what is happening here. In the end the meaning will be personal to you.  smiley

I saw some bears in a projection I had awhile back... it's just an excerpt

9th O.B.E.:  07/23/2011@ 0200-ish

Felt vibrations --- I think I was slightly “out” of body.  Looked at my left hand and it turned into a big black spider, I would wiggle my fingers and it was like the spiders legs were moving.  I freaked out for a second and then reminded myself to think “happy” thoughts, it changed to what looked like a bear and then back to a spider again.  Like silhouettes.  There was a glass piece floating in the air, I grabbed it and it felt REAL and it was stuck to my hand.   Next thing I know, I was in a dark void looking through a screen or tiny window, rather.  Saw a white boy (probably about 10 or 11yrs old) far off in the distance, in a city and it looked Black & White.  He looked like he was dressed in 1920’s era clothes.  I asked to myself, “Who is he?”  He got even further away and it closed.  Then I found myself going down a grand old staircase (and I remember seeing a bear on all fours off to the side of the staircase, but not a silhouette this time).  Then I really felt myself “pop” out of body............................................

I did a little research about bears and native "folklore";  I also spoke to a spiritualist about this particular adventure.  She told me that bears represent STRENGTH.  Spiders represent CREATIVITY, and that the little boy I saw was me from a past life.

Thanks Xanth... Focus on my current environment and relax.  Man, I feel stupid for not realizing this.  But thanks again for the enlightenment.
6  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: why is it so hard to breathe? on: February 13, 2012, 17:19:08
Wow, that makes so much sense.  That's why so many times when I'm out I can still hear things going on in my room.  I just need to relax... That's so hard for me to do.
7  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / why is it so hard to breathe? on: February 13, 2012, 11:49:51
This has been an issue for me since this projecting started a year ago.  I always find myself holding my breath or feeling like I'm being choked.  My vision is usually dull.  I use commands ("clarity now" and what-not) to no avail.  I find it difficult to move around --- I always feel like I'm swaying.  I've tried communicating with another being several times.  When I speak, it's hoarse and sounds like someone that's being choked.  I've tried just thinking what I want to say --- like talking in your head.  The only times I got a response from this being, I could see there mouth moving but no sound.  Another time I heard a reply, but it was faint (I asked his name --- I think he said "Cangor", I made a mental note not to forget it, but by the time I was writing it in my journal, I wasn't positively sure that was it).
8  Healing / Welcome to Healing discussions! / Edgar Cayce... whatcha' think? on: January 25, 2012, 13:17:29
I just started reading a book about Edgar Cayce ("The Edgar Cayce Primer")... what to do y'all think about him.  I'm having a bit of a dilemna on his stark belief in Christianity and my lack of belief in religion.  I began projecting astrally about a year ago and that has fueled my disbelief in religion even more.  What y'all think?
9  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Need some really good advice... on: January 20, 2012, 13:52:35
thanks for the replies... I will definitely stop being such a scaredy-cat --- I know that is my biggest deterrent, although I've gotten much better since I started.
And I surely need help with certain things here in the physical... I've been asking for help in the astral for quite some time.
10  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Need some really good advice... on: January 20, 2012, 02:54:25
I keep projecting and who are whatever it is that is always there with me, takes me to these different places everytime.  I don't know where, I don't know why, and I don't know who this is.  I've been asking --- several different times now, and I never get an answer.  One time I think I got a reply, but it was so faint and inaudible that I'm not even sure it was a reply.  I'm convinced it doesn't mean me any harm --- there hasn't ever been any.  When we're flying around to these different places I can't see him, but I can definitely feel him --- physically.  I can feel what seems to be an arm around my waist and it's a very tight grip --- I noticed this morning that when I tried to shift around just for comfort-sake --- it tightened it's grip almost to the point of discomfort (pretty darn close).  I can feel it's cheek against mine.  This has been going on pretty much since these projections began almost a year ago (averaging about one per month).
Anyway, this projection early this morning we flew to some island --- not tropical.  There was a huge stone buliding on it and the landscape was rocky and grassy.  When we first began this journey I could see this place far off in the distance --- I could see where we were headed and it was a tiny speck far off in the distance.  We went through dark then bright, dark then bright areas, so on and so forth until we reached it.  We landed and I saw him --- I think.  It was a young white guy, very short strawberry blonde hair maybe an inch high.  He had one brown eye and the other was blue.  I remember asking some questions about who he was, but for the life of me I can't remember the answers.  At one point though, I remember asking him if he was my guide, but this time it was a different looking person --- young white guy with black hair and I think blue eyes.  He replied, something to the effect of... "yeah, I am... sure... yeah, I am".  I didn't find it very believable the way he answered.  It's all so scattered --- I know I'm leaving out so much, but I just don't remember anymore --- kinda' like a dream; which is odd because I usually remember my projections pretty fully, unlike my dreams.
Incidentally, I do kinda' remember talking to him when we were flying over this destination.  I could see people walking around and I asked him if we could go and talk to them.  He said something like "no, that wouldn't be a good idea", but it didn't seem like he meant it as if they were bad, but moreso like that's not important right now.  Anyway, I do remember now, that when I was talking to this blonde-haired fellow right after we landed, that it was very difficult for me to talk... kinda' like trying to talk if you were being choked or had a very sore throat --- very labored.  Funny thing is he was talking back to me (this was after we had landed --- and he seemed tired too), but I couldn't hear him because the TV that was on in my bedroom (in the physical) was too loud and I couldn't hear his responses --- just see his mouth moving.  I remember he was kinda' smiling when I was telling him this.  It's weird that I'm supposedly so far away, yet I can hear things that are going on in the physical.  There's a fan/heater that is on in my bedroom.  When I begin to first start phasing out, the fan becomes terribly loud.  I snap back and it's normal again.  As I drift again, it becomes VERY loud once again.
I know this all jumbled, because I'm kinda' writing these things down as they come back to me.  But, it's all true.  I'm having such a difficult time making sense out of these projections.  I could really use some experienced advice.  Especially this whole bit with my breathing.  Sometimes I can hear myself breathing in these projections and it's so labored like I'm being choked and it's always so difficult to talk.  In the past I've tried talking inside my head, thinking that's the way to do it in this kind of state.  But, this morning I tried talking aloud (at least that's what it felt like I was doing) --- again, it's labored.  I sound hoarse, but that's the first time I got some kind of response from this being.  If I really did at all.  Somehow, it seems like it was a dream.  Damn, I'm so confused about all of this.
Hope this makes sense to someone  undecided

13  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: what do you get from it all? on: January 07, 2012, 15:38:43
Perhaps you have have not met your guide yet because you are progressing greatly without even having one. Or, the other end of the spectrum, perhaps you have not met them because you are still in the adventure stages of OBE and are not yet ready to advance to the next level quite yet. I have noticed that people that OBE from Lucid Dreams have more adventures, where as people that Phase Consciously Aware have more control over their entire experience. Phasing/OBE consciously aware takes much more work at first, you really need a guide to help you through this. But in the end you find out the guide is just your interface trying to aide you through the complicated task at hand.
 Good Luck  smiley

my last OBE was actually the first time I'd ever "headed out" from within a dream.  All of my other OBE's I have phased consciously.  I can tell there's someone else present, I'm not afraid because they've never done me any harm.
I have a purpose whenever I phase, and it's to try and make changes to my life in this present reality.  Is there a method of doing that?  Something I can do to facilitate that?
14  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / what do you get from it all? on: January 06, 2012, 14:04:03
I've had 14 conscious OBE's that I've documented in my journal since February of last year.  The few things that I've gathered from these has been my belief in the afterlife, my disbelief in organized religion, and the belief that we don't know our own strength.  I've had a difficult time understanding all of the imagery that I've witnessed --- just doesn't make sense to me.  I believe there are meanings to it all, but I just don't understand.  I have yet to "meet" a spirit guide, although I can sense it's presence every single time.  When I'm flying through tunnels and different scenes --- I know that I'm not doing the driving;  I'm cradled in somethings arms and I can feel them, but I can't see them.  The last projection I had... well, here it is.

14th O.B.E. --- 12/30/2011 @ 0630

Became conscious in a dream and decided to try and project from there; did so with virtually no effort whatsoever.  I rose up and was floating around in some strange dimly lit room --- I think it was the same place as my dream.  I then feel myself being pulled backwards and the speed is increasing.  I’m not afraid.  I begin turning so that I’m facing the direction we’re moving in.  I can’t really see who is there; it’s dark where we’re at, but I think I can see a dark silhouetted figure.  So I ask, “what is your name?”  I think I heard a faint reply, but couldn’t make it out.  I could feel their hands on my arms and their legs on mine and their cheek against mine --- feels warm.  We’re flying through all of these really strange environments I can’t even begin to describe --- some dark and some bright.  I’m just calmly along for the ride wondering where we’re going.  We stop and land in this “place”.  It’s bright out and there’s snow on the ground, but not the sidewalk we’re standing on.  There’s some white dude that I’ve never seen before (kinda’ looked like the actor “Patrick Dempsey” five o’ clock shadow and a little plump, he was wearing a white long-sleeved, button-up shirt and dark brown slacks).  He was getting up from the ground, kinda’ woozy.  It was as if he had been traveling with us, or perhaps we landed on him, or maybe he’s the mysterious driver… not sure which.  I’m looking around to see if there’s anyone else, but there’s no one else around.  I do see two brown-skinned feet sticking out of a brick wall that we’re standing by (it’s only about a foot in height) the toenails are painted black and look sharp and pointy.  No body anywhere.  I wake up.

Not sure why I have such a difficult time making the ultimate contact with who/whatever this being is.  I've had several other experiences with it where it has actually helped pull me out of body before.  But, I think that was different because it was a Black shadow-like figure standing next to my bed helping me out of my body and it somehow looked like me, and in my gut it felt like it was me.  I wasn't afraid at all --- which is unusual for me, naturally I woulda' been scared out of my wits!  Anyway, I'm rambling and there's just to much more I could write down here and ponder about.

19  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Just had the strangest OBE about an hour ago... on: November 17, 2011, 06:46:21
I've been thinking about this and researching it a bit online since this afternoon.  And I have a few notions as to what happened.  I'm thinking, perhaps it was a dream --- I was in Focus 2, if you will (I have alot of leanings toward Kepple's theories).  Maybe every time I was asking to see my spirit guide and those extreme sensations came on at that instant... well, maybe my spirit guide was trying to answer my call, but since I was in that "lower realm" it could be more difficult to accomplish.  I probably needed to elevate to a higher plane in order to communicate with my guide (which, I have yet to do).  I'm pretty sure I've gone further than Focus 2 in the past; I've had projections that definitely weren't dreams and there was another prescence there with me --- I could undoubtedly feel it, just couldn't see it.
I might be way off, or I might be on track.  Hell, I dunno'... just an idea, I reckon'.

I just finished writing it all down...

13th O.B.E. --- 11/16/2011 @1145
I was tired and went deep while still awake.  Felt myself begin to rise from my body, felt the vibrations take over and I could hear myself breathing the entire time; like in 2001: A Space Odyssey when he was in his spacesuit.  It felt somewhat labored throughout this experience.  I began seeing many strange objects.  They seemed configured symmetrically somewhat, and very colorful --- I’m unable to explain in detail, other than they were very “cartoon-like”; similar to a phase I’ve seen in most of my other OBE’s.  I went through many different types of scenery like this.  I then remember darkness with a ring of light surrounding.  I asked to see my spirit guide and instantly, my body seemed to vibrate intensely and breathing became very labored, but I remained calm (felt like I was dying).  Saw no one else, but now I’m in my bedroom, tried to walk through a wall --- could not (as I have in the past).  I could make out my hands in front of me, but very dim and blurry.  I could not fly either (as I have in the past).  Walked out into the living room, breathing is still labored.  My brother was sitting on the couch, I think he as on the phone (he doesn’t live with me in reality).  I tried to speak to him, but could only whisper.  He could hear me though and he didn’t seem surprised at all.  I picked up a pair of socks that were on the floor in the hall and floated them over to him thinking he would be impressed as to how I could do that.  He held them between his hands and began rubbing his hands together very fast and something white and furry began to appear out from the socks.  Next, I asked to see my spirit guide again, and again the vibrations in my body grew very intense and breathing became much labored.  There was a knock at the door.  My brother answered it.  There was a very tall, somewhat heavy-set, stocky older white man --- probably mid to late 50’s, with white hair standing outside, he had a clipboard and a red shirt with a company name on the left side chest area.  It had something to do with psychiatry (I’ve never seen one, maybe I need to).  He asked my name.  I replied, “What’s your name?”  He looked at me quizzically and then at my brother with a weird grin, as if to say, “what’s his problem?”  Again, I could only whisper.  He showed me some papers that looked like test papers, there were several of them.  I looked through them and assumed he wanted me to see if my name was on any of them.  At first glance it wasn’t, but then I did see my name on one of them, but it was very messy handwriting and didn’t look like my writing at all.  Also it said, “Chris Nelson”.  I always write my name, Christopher Nelson.  Next thing was a very bright light that took over the scene and then I was awake in my bed.  It seemed more like a dream;  I didn’t feel that whooshing rush back to my body, like I usually do at the end of an OBE  Except my breathing was labored when I awoke, and it sounded/felt just like my breathing in “the dream” that I could hear the entire time.
Very strange --- every time I asked to see my spirit guide the vibrations in my body grew stronger for an instant --- quite uncomfortable, and I felt like I was being choked --- not like hands around my neck, but it became much harder to breath.  I was surprised that I was able to remain calm.

This was all unlike any OBE's I've had before... seemed more like a dream, but not really.  Trying hard to make sense of it.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
21  Dreams / Welcome to Dreams! / Re: 3 instances, 1 dream of almost being hit by a car... what's it mean? on: November 10, 2011, 02:02:59
If you can channel your spirit guides I recommend to ask them.  As for symbolism it looks like you are watching out for other people and preventing a danger from happening to them.

Still working on the channeling thing.  I've had quite a few "projection", but I have yet to meet my guide.  Although, I have a feeling that I might be getting closer to it... just a feeling, that's all.
22  Dreams / Welcome to Dreams! / Re: 3 instances, 1 dream of almost being hit by a car... what's it mean? on: November 10, 2011, 02:00:15
Something prompting you to become lucid- a repetitive message like that usually doesn't happen in that same way in waking 'reality'.  Or if it does, it's not so 'obvious'.
However, if I were to interpret it, I'd say your mother in the dream symbolizes your intuition, and the dream is basically telling you to trust your gut.
Or, it's how I would interpret it.

Very interesting... thanks for your input.  Taken to heart.

I guess not... how so?
funny thing though, I just got back from pickin' my daughter up from school and some lady almost backed into me as she was pulling out of her parking spot, had to honk at her to stop.  I don't really think that was related to my dream though... it was just funny.
Lucidity cue?  I don't understand
25  Dreams / Welcome to Dreams! / 3 instances, 1 dream of almost being hit by a car... what's it mean? on: November 09, 2011, 20:48:57
In this dream I had last night, my Mother was telling me to be careful because she had a dream that she was reading an article in the newspaper that I had been hit (killed?) in a car accident.

Later in the dream, I was with a friend walking away from a convenience store.  In the parking lot a car was parking, elderly driver, and I sensed danger;  like the driver couldn't control the vehicle or drive very well.  So, I urged my friend and I to get out of it's way.  The car almost hit two other people that were walking behind us.

Even later in the same dream.  I'm standing on the side of the road with some old friends from my past.  A car cruising by us comes about half an inch from hitting one of my friends --- I say half an inch, because that's what I said to him in the dream;  "Man, that car came about half an inch from hitting you!"

I can't help but think there's something to that symbolism... just can't figure what it could be.  Help, anyone?
