There is no scientist that would trust blindly.  It's just not in the lingo.
The theory they've come up with is based on evidence and experimentation, not reading any book someone wrote long ago.
These arguments make absolutely no sense to me.  Maybe I'm too late to the party.
2  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: The Inter-Dimensional Entities Behind the Dark Agenda Thatís Taking Over the Wor on: June 15, 2014, 23:10:15
I think many confuse 'fundamental reality' with purpose- the fundamental reality behind existence is said to be love, not our purpose.  Our purpose is meaningless, because our material existence begins and ends within time, and we are outside of time.  So our purpose is what we decide to do when we come here.  Love is what everything 'is' at the core, and this is the only thing that may be real, if reality is what you're looking for.
3  Spiritual Evolution / Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Re: HELP problems opening my third eye on: May 16, 2014, 17:34:33
so the theory you propose Traveler is that the third eye is the means we use to see things that are not "PHYSICALLY" there?
Not at all.  I said that clairvoyance is the ability to imagine.  I also said that there are countless theories as to what the 'third eye' is, driven by the fact that we have a pineal gland, which is in fact a 'third eye'.  So it has something to do with visual information, but what I don't know.

Time spent learning is never wasted.

Parallel lives isn't reincarnation.
It is if I say it is.
5  Psychic and Paranormal / Welcome to Psychic and Paranormal! / Re: What Are Aliens? on: April 12, 2014, 20:21:09
What an interesting thread.
My take on this, is, if we're eternal beings, and we know earth has a beginning date and will have an end date, then probably all of us were something else before (excuse the word 'before', my language is limited) that would be considered 'alien'.  So to me, there is no such thing as an 'alien',  just 'from somewhere else currently.'
Or,  huh cheesy
6  Psychic and Paranormal / Welcome to Psychic and Paranormal! / Re: i have already experienced this life? on: April 12, 2014, 20:15:36
Are you talking reincarnation (previous or parallel lives), or eternal recurrence? (Like groundhog day?)
7  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Do concussions/braindamage affect your ability to astral project? on: April 12, 2014, 20:11:39
If you have had spontaneous OBEs it proves that having brain damage doesn't stop you from having them- but the question should be, does it stop you from experiencing them from an aware state.  Then I would ask you, does the brain damage prevent you from meditating, or from being aware just before you go to sleep?  If you can maintain some sort of awareness, then you might be able to project consciously.
BTW, we project 'with the mind', but then, we experience pretty much anything else with the mind also.

Hi, I'm new here but I have a question for you all. For any of those who have done research on reincarnation.

-Is it true that those who walk toward the light are accomplished, and those who walk toward the dark will reincarnate?

-If so, who guides you through the dark?

I am extremely curious.
That's entirely too general.  As Xanth said, what does it mean?

10  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 28, 2014, 16:10:06
You can also take an 'imaginary' walk, in a place you've been before, and as you 'walk' the path, you see things that are there- trees, or benches, or rivers, or whatever you want to see.  Add things that are not there in real life, and keep 'moving'.  That's one of  my favorite methods.
11  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Finding Loved Ones on the Astral Plane on: March 24, 2014, 16:02:24
I did Yohan.  She was consumed by the sense of guilt she felt about some of the things that had happened in her life.  I experienced it as herself "locking herself in a place she couldn't get out of."  I was able to talk to her, and explain things differently to her, from the point of view of someone (one of many) who loved her deeply, and the good things she taught me.  Then I explained the nature of how (how I saw) God and the afterlife, the nature of what she was going through, and her ability to see differently and step away from where she was, so she could get help and input that wasn't created by her own guilt.  It took a long time (for me) but she was able to get out of there.  To verify that it really had taken, I had another experience (on another night) in which she told me something of significance, something I was able to verify about a year later- showing me that this was a 'real' experience and not entirely self created.
12  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Tips on falling into Sleep Paralysis and staying awake on: March 22, 2014, 17:42:01
I could do this more when I was younger, but not as much.  Being tired is not helpful.  Or it's just old age.   cheesy
13  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Finding Loved Ones on the Astral Plane on: March 22, 2014, 17:40:30
I have, but not immediately.  It took my dad about a year before I had any 'verifiably real' communication with him.  Then nothing for three years, and then it's been on and off.  I saw my grandmother slightly before (she was in a coma) and right after her passing- and then nothing for two years.  With my mom also slightly before and right after, and then nothing for at least three years.
With my grandma I had the opportunity to witness a process, but I actually didn't get to interact with her for months afterwards, and then only to do 'a retrieval'.
I find the contacting someone tricky at best- timing is everything.
14  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Pulse Island! / Re: Its hard to let others know that individuals don't die after death on: March 13, 2014, 17:45:02
There's a time for action and a time for silence. You have to figure out what time it is at that particular moment!  wink
That's true and I want to comment on something I saw in the recent posts since I participated in this thread.  (*deep breath*)
When people grieve they do for many reasons- that have to do with the relationship with the newly deceased.  Mourning is a necessary outflow of emotion, because, whether there is life after death or not, the type of relationship they used to have with the deceased is over- there may or may not be a different type of relationship after that- they may dream about them, even (if they're lucky) see them in visions in awake time- but they can never hug them again or tell them they love them and know for a fact that they are 'there' to know what they're telling them.
Yes, there is the belief (that I daresay I buy into) that the person may live in a 'bardo' state (with a different type of consciousness) and then either reincarnate or go to a 'heaven'- and we can even have experiences that we go visit them.  But the relationship that we had as incarnate has been changed so fundamentally that it can be said that it has ended, because change has happened to the two parties.
So yes, grief is heart-wrenching, but the pain they feel is real and necessary for them to move on with whatever they're supposed to do here (if anything), and to assume it's some sort of 'unnecessary suffering is very naive.
So make sure that when you console a person who is going through the grief of loss, don't project to them the idea that their emotions are somehow invalid because their concept of life and death are different than yours- that is not really being kind, it's being controlling.
-end of rant and I'm catching my breath.

On a personal note, the times I have interacted with my parents and grandparents have been great, but they don't erase the fact that I can't pick up the phone and talk to them with the immediacy I used to have, and that is real.

16  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Are you a Wanderer or Walk-in? on: March 11, 2014, 18:51:22
What do you feel in your heart? There lies your answer.
I have always had the 'knowledge' that I was here for a reason.  It's almost a memory.  Sometimes I think I remember I was supposed to witness something, but I also have a memory of being told not to forget something.  That's as far as I get, which is even more frustrating.

Quote
Do you feel like you belong here? Like you have a mission here to fulfill?
I have never felt I belonged here (or anywhere) but at the same time I feel like I'm 'of' here, which is different from most spiritual seekers.  In fact, I have often thought (in an existential way, not in a break-with reality way) that I'm not a real person, but some sort of expression of the collective.  Not a me, just 'it'.  Very hard to explain.

Quote
Did you always have a passion for the ET topic, especially as a child, before you actually knew what they were?
Not exactly.  My dad was an ET nut so it was inculcated in me during early teens.  This made me reject the theme, and when I started having 'experiences' in my forties, I was very very ticked about it.  Like it snuck up on me or something.  Always liked 'space-themed' shows, like Star Trek, for example, and Dr. Who, but I didn't think 'alien' was anything special.  Until I got older and my dad hung out with 'the UFO community' and those type of people, who just bugged me.

17  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Are you a Wanderer or Walk-in? on: March 09, 2014, 15:21:45
I've asked myself the question (why do I have a sense of being here for a reason, and even having some memory of it) and have never gotten any kind of answer.  I'd love to have some help in this.  I've gone to past-life regressionists and got zilch also.  I've asked in trance, in projection, in prayer- you name it.  And get nothing.  It's actually frustrating for me.
18  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: This ones for my Conscious Projectors on: March 09, 2014, 15:17:49
I've had vertigo, heaviness (as if a brick were on my chest) and nausea once when I tried 'spinning'- never again- but never pain.  I would suggest doing more 'relaxing muscles' discipline before the trance induction, since usually muscle tension is what causes difficult partial separations for me.  Unless you had a full stomach and body sensations became amplified.
19  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: How do I open my eyes? on: March 09, 2014, 15:10:08
Getting away from your physical body will make vision come back on its own.  Feel your way away and feedback from your physical body will diminish.

when I feel the heavy resistance I can't see anything either. I feel like i am trapped in the room and its pitch black. I can also still feel my physical body and WOULD be able to move it had i tried to.
This confirms my suspicion that you're too close to your physical body and having feedback.  If you think you'll move deepen the trance before you attempt an exit- if blind, just 'feel' your way away from your body and vision will clear up.  You don't need to 'see', but I realize it's easier when you see.  So then you can go further away.
21  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Reaching Vibrations on: March 08, 2014, 21:00:30
So The last few months I have more or less given up actively trying to project due to poor results at best. I have been working on projecting for about 10 years now with literally a 99.99% fail rate. I have never left my body other than on one rare occasion that I actually broke free and was so amazed I honestly thought I really just woke up and threw myself out of my bed on accident.
Hi Monte.  I hope you can find answers.

Quote
anyways The last few months I have noticed I have had a lot of bad dreams. Or dreams that have disturbing elements in them. The Recurring theme is I am dead, or pretending to be to avoid some kind of fear or harm.

On every occasion in my dream that I " play dead " or think I am dying I feel a strange numbness come over my dream body that steadily turns into vibrations. I feel them get stronger and stronger and then nothing ( on most occasions )
This makes complete sense to me as projection or the idea of leaving your body probably has programmed your subconscious about it in a literal way.

Quote
However sometimes I am able to kinda, pull away I guess. I feel like i'm  more or less trying to swim against a cruise liner propeller. It feels like heavy resistance in water. It is a rather weird feeling and I am yet to beat the current that is pushing/pulling me back. I usually run out of " energy " and I am pulled back.
This is quite typical of a projection in which you're close to your body.  It happens a lot at first.  Not sure why.

This morning my dog woke me up early to take him out to the bathroom at about 7:20 am...  about an hour and a half earlier than I would like to get up. I let him out and then came back to my room and laid down on my stomach. I got comfortable and thought " what the heck why not try " I tried to stay as conscious as  I could, just playing out my dreams in my mind how I wanted them to happen.  In passing I fantasized fighting and falling to the ground ( to the position I was laying on ) in that moment I felt the strange vibration. It came lightly became more intense and then faded. I thought to myself, no come back. and " willed " them back. I got a second wave of vibrations  which was amazing to me that it even happened a second time!
I found the early morning an excellent time to project because you're already relaxed but are not exhausted.  It's when I project the most.

Quote
The way I brought them back was imagining I was grabbing a string of 550 cord ( military term, its just a really strong piece of small rope ) and pulling myself away from my body. The vibrations intensified as I imagined pulling... however I witnessed a soreness or pain in my lower back right in the lumbar. I am very sure this pain was not physical due to it passing when the vibrations did, and hurting more so when the vibrations intensified. I am unsure if it was my position ( on my stomach ) or if one of my chakras is not doing so well which would be totally possible.
This is what we call the 'rope technique', a method that has been around for a while.  It's considered an exit technique, and the symptoms you describe (vibrations, heaviness, torso energy surge) are natural for them.

Quote
I was wondering what others thought about this strange occurrence with the idea of using death as a gate to leave the body. I guess to me it just makes sense... I was raised christian and think of the soul leaving the body as I die. I suppose if it works there is no harm in it, but was curious if others have such weird  ways of exiting. Also curious as to if anyone has experienced changes in diet having heavy impact.
I don't think it's strange at all, I would consider it to be an expected psychological side effect of your spiritual pursuits.

Even though I don't personally think projection causes the soul to separate, (I think it's either consciousness, the energy body or a combo of both that moves or expands outwards), I think it is some sort of 'training' for the actual event at the end of the incarnation process, amongst other things.  But this is not said with authority, it's just my belief.
Anyway, I'm glad the rope technique worked for you.
22  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Rtz on: March 08, 2014, 20:47:21
Rachael, I didn't even read everyone's answers so I'm sorry if someone said this already- if you're in the RTZ and want to have a different type of experience, focus on something that 'doesn't belong' and go towards and through it, and you will probably find yourself in an astral environment.
Sometimes these look like the RTZ but they're not, and after a while the quality of the experience will change and you'll realize it.

LE GASP!  Smiley
I don't mean I don't think they're not valuable.  You know I do see them as a kind of astral projection.  It's that since I was in my teens (when I LD'd all the time) I can count the times I dream lucid in one hand.  If that much.  And by LD I mean become conscious in a dream and start to  change how I act.
24  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: How long do your astral experiences ussually last? on: March 07, 2014, 00:26:36
My projections last approx. 15 mins. more or less.  I hardly ever lucid dream, I wouldn't even count them.
25  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Diethyl Ether on: March 04, 2014, 20:24:35
At the time of his experiments, ether was widely used by the medical profession, and he probably had access to it because he was a responsible scientist.  But that doesn't mean that we should have access to it or try to use it without proper supervision.  It reminds me of Michael Jackson's death, for example.
