I have been in this area of a feeling being low down and in darkness, unable to move very well and my conclusion is it happened when I was in a low state of energy. Also when our cat had died and I visited him( in the spiritual plane for animals?)
2  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Seeing Through Your Eyelids on: November 28, 2013, 21:35:48
Just had a meditation when I noticed I was seeing through closed eyelids, as I have done often before, but never noticed any difference with the actual; but i will certainly check this out as it is very interesting and has certain ramifications. Good spotting xanf  smiley

Just reading a newspaper article, from a medical scientist studying hospital patients who had recently suffered strokes. His findings were that a larger percentage of them had been using cannabis regularly.  sad

5  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Old Age on: November 25, 2013, 03:20:22
Since I became over 60 years of age, OOB experiences have become few and far between. I am not sure whether this is through the increase of too many other interests or the decrease of energy that comes with old age.
Are there any people who regularly Lucid dream or astral travel who are of a senior age?

You meditate...
You forget about this physical reality...

That's about it really.

Anytime you're sitting down to consciously project... you're doing projection through meditation.

Do you see now why I always say that meditation is probably the most important thing you could learn if you wish to project?  Smiley

It takes a lifetime to learn, and a lifetime to master.  By the time you're dead, you should have it figured out.  LoL
Yes I agree with Xanth in this but I sympathize with Moon's question. One wants to be given a technique "how to".
I used a TM mantra for about four years and began spontaneously to 'project / out-of-body'. Since stopping meditating I have stopped projecting /OOB.
One of the non-mantra 'techniques' I found to be good, is first concentrating innocently on your breathing and naturally get deeper into meditation.

7  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Awareness versus Consciousness on: June 19, 2012, 05:14:38
I am thinking, reading these posts.. there is no awareness without consciousness.
All life has consciousness.
In some of my oob experiences, a point of my supply of consciousness has been outside of my body. Sometimes just 24 inches away and sometimes thousands of miles away lol  shocked
8  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Success - 1st OBE on: May 16, 2012, 06:53:00
I woke up this morning with a very brief memory of being OOB, but for the life of me can't remember any of it.  angry
Hi Swamp, it helps to remember your dreams and/OOBS by keeping a dream journal.
If I remember of a dream, just a snippet, as I write what I can remember, more of the dream and sometimes other dreams/Aps, come back to memory.

9  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: ''Super moon'' Tonight on: May 14, 2012, 03:09:43
The beach is only a ten minute walk from where we live, so we saw the moon appear over the horizon and it was understandable that people called it a 'Super Moon' here in New Zealand, where the air is very clear.
I have always experienced OOBE easier two days after a full moon, but on this occasion, family life was too hectic for me to be disposed to consider meditation and my usual preparation to think about going OOB. lol!  wink
10  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Body Shaking After A OBE on: April 28, 2012, 21:55:02
quoting twillighter : [I have been having vibrations at odd hours. For example, even in the afternoon, while wide awake the feeling can hit me. I am thinking it might be happening a lot lately, because I am new to APing, and have been making regular attempts at it....Some efforts more successful than others, but the vibrations are always strongest once I lay down and begin to relax.]

Hi twillighter,Yes I think because you are trying more you are generating energy in preparation to project.. This is good.
I often have vibes, usually in my feet and ankles whilst sitting still for some time. They feel good and positive.

11  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Exit from waking method? on: April 28, 2012, 08:25:21
Hi Plasma. When I have had a good night's sleep and wake, I just lie there and drift off to 'semi-sleep' and wait for vibrations, that is the time when I find it easier to go oob. For me it is usually into the etheric, then from there I can go astral.

Hi 8bit, I haven't heard of this happening after OBE. The only time I have experienced body shaking is recently after having a wisdom tooth out. The  doctor said it was trauma the body was feeling.
Not sure if I understood you , did you physically fall whilst in projection?
13  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / New experiance on: February 17, 2012, 18:53:53
New experience.
Sitting up in bed crossed legged,– prayer and meditation - going into dream state, then moving into transcending state – witnessing myself snoring – awake inside – spontaneously - partially levitating
( as in T.M'ers flying / hopping technique). But I am not moving forward, just up and down slowly.
Afterwards I think if this happens again I could change it into an astral projection or continue with this development to see what happens.

14  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Really scary experience on: December 12, 2011, 07:45:44
I noticed I was hearing something that scared the **** out of me. It sounded like a bunch of people talking or rather whispering.I began to wonder if I was actually hearing talking and what was being said. There was also some other sounds that just sounded plain weird.

Either way, is there any way to drown out these sounds? I feel like I'm so close but those sounds creeped me out. I'm gonna try again tonight, sometimes I can get it to happen by telling myself it's gonna happen before I go to sleep, or by sleeping in a certain position.

Hi Leon, I have heard sounds, people talking, music etc usually before or just after being out-of-body. reading up on this I find it is called "hypnagogic  sound" and is a well known phenomena.
Once I  thought I could hear a party going on next door 'in full swing' music loud voices laughter and woke up and there was silence and knowing the people next door I knew there wasn't a party going on. I have done astral travelling, out of body dozens of times and never felt fear, only joy in doing it. Be strong and enjoy.  smiley cheers djed
15  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Something I am going to try. Tips would be very much appreciated. on: December 08, 2011, 06:33:21
Hi Cody, I tried experiments where I drew letters of the alphabet in black ink on large white cards, one letter to one card ( about 20cms square)
and took them into the 'spare room' next to my bedroom, in the dark, wearing a blindfold, shuffled the cards and turn the whole pack over and walk out of the room closing the door and going to bed, 'perchance to dream'. I had prepared myself to go out- of- body, which I did that night. I experienced leaving the body circulating and going through the wall into the spare room. What I recalled seeing was various sized cards around the room with letters on some and numbers on others. Although I was very serious about this experiment I thought someone was having a laugh on me. smiley
I tried several times but with no convincing success.
I have learned over time that I don't always take my normal waking state consciousness with me in these episodes, so don't really prove anything to others. The truth is we enter into another level of consciousness where things are different to the normal physical world.

Anyways, the point is that I feel like I "lose it" when I near my projection...all the sensations seem to just stop, and I am in this state of sleep paralysis...the imagery is great. I just don't know what I feel I'm doing wrong. : (
Hi Dustin, welcome.
You are doing everything right. So when you feel separation is near you don’t have to get excited,
just relax and you will be ‘out’.
The heaviness and sinking down is good.
If you are left with sleep paralysis, you need to just relax and the process will start again.
Stop thinking about the physical body, just keep ‘noticing’ any images.

Cheers and Good Luck, djed  smiley

So, people, like Bach(I think, it was some famous composer) has given accounts that they see colors when playing in different keys. To any music savvy individual this makes perfect sense.

On the guitar, in the first position, the chord D minor is always the colour brown.
I have the same with chess moves, certain positions of the pieces give off a colour to my imagination.
I have worked as an artist, for many years, mixing colour combinations. So to me its all part of creativity. And yes Bach is a famous composer, he is my favourite.

I'd love if you could share your technique for wake inducing
@Lighting.
My method of getting into trance was developed from R.Bruce/B.Mercer’s 90 day course, with a combination of energy raising, chakra stimulation, rhythmic breathing and several exit- visualizations (of which the climbing-rope seems to be the most popular) You can sit in a chair or lie down to do trance meditation. If this sounds a bit too complicated , which it is! Lol  grin , maybe you should try Phasing.
To learn how to Phase I would encourage anyone to read online or download Xanth’s Phasing primer which you will find here http://unlimitedbounderies.ca/xanths-phasing-primer/
He first gives an explanation of what phasing is and then starts you off with a couple of exercises.
Good luck, djed

When I exit my body I am in the physical world. I can stand next to my body and watch myself sleep. Is that the RTZ to you..?
Hiya Tee, this reminds me of three experiences when I saw my body and it was normal daylight. This is unusual, as normally, for me, I first exit to the etheric plane/RTZ which I know as low light. The first two experiences one from sleep mode and the other from wake state. All three were were spontaneous. The third experience was after I had been following the Occult method presented by Melita Denning and Osborne Phillips in their book ‘Astral Projection’, I woke up and I was looking at the side of my head from just about three feet away, in natural morning light.
So I would be interested to know what kind of meditation and what method you use in your preparation to project into this ‘Physical’ state that you encounter, because it is not the norm for most people.
The Physical state is your body lying there, but I am acknowledging your other ‘physical’ differentiation to the RTZ by these three experiences of mine.
Quote
Anyway as I move away from my body I enter the other world where it resembles the physical but things are outta place.
I am guessing you are doing an occult method that is giving you this extra dimension as it did mine.

Ive been meaning to videotape myself sleeping and see if I can catch myself exiting my body. If I get tired enough, minutes from sleep, I can time it, -press rec- , induce the vibrations, exit my body and maybe put on a little show for the camera.
This can’t happen, Tee, as you would only see the astral body from astral consciousness, and the camera can only film the physical.

Thanks for your interesting post,
Cheers djed  smiley

@ Lightening, To induce OOBE from the wakened state we don’t go to sleep, we either just go into Deep Trance, no dreams, still awake, or we phase directly into Astral, no dreams, body still awake.  That’s the beauty of Wake induce, we get dream-free experience.

As for contacting people in the real world/other dimensions/planes... well, let's just say I find it hard to believe (at the moment).
When you do eventually make a solid contact with another person in the non=physical dimension, its easier to believe, but I know what you mean, its easier just to disbelieve and to say 'its all in the mind' but to me that doesn't explain the experiences I have had over many years.

Agreed Contenteo,
Mode1 OOBE = RTZ(etheric), Mode2 OOBE = Astral.

Has anyone ever experienced this phenomenon? If so, where you able to bring back the memory of the color seen?

Do you guys think it's possible to bring back the memory of a non-physical color into the awareness of one's physical mind?
Try to imagine a new primary color -It's impossible! The new color/s seen would be absolutely indescribable to anyone but yourself
Yes, I often dream in colour, but there are times, especially in Lucid dreams, where the colours are still red, blue and yellow and all the combinations of these primaries, except they are, what I would call, heightened colour, indescribable, but still subjectively remembered.

But on the other hand, I definitely want an RTZ projection to go visit some people. That has some purpose to it, where the astral projection seems to have a more esoteric purpose.
After reading a recent article on Remote Viewing, describing the results as having very fuzzy vision and unclear reality, I thought that my experience in RTZ was much clearer and could be used by the military with far greater results. But of course one would have to be able to stay out longer and travel about a thousand miles. So I want to get some practice in! , who knows I might get a good job in the military!  grin

24  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: another OBE that felt somewhat like a dream on: June 05, 2011, 21:38:05
Hi Lizelle, I believe you exited ok but stayed in the etheric plane/'RealTimeZone', it is referred to as OBE1, where it is usual to have 'fluctuations of reality'.
You remained in your etheric body, which is close to the physical. When you want to leave this plane you fly up or out of a window and you automatically go into your astral body where things are more 'normal', better light and focus, in the astral plane.
I would be interested to learn the specifics of your breathing pattern, as I am interested in staying in the etheric zone longer. It is similar to Remote viewing.
Happy travels, djed smiley
