Hi Quiet Storm,

Looks like the competition out there is heating up, and may well be incredibly fierce stuff indeed for our intrepid self styled savior.

Are you up for the challenge from Doris the New Age Guru!!!

Beware and look no further than: -

Lesser known mortals than yourself (no doubt the fabled Icke included) have withered and wept in wry dismay,

Hi Quiet Storm,

Wonderful thoughts indeed, and very provoking (ho hum)!

You seem to be having fun and no doubt appreciate the likes of David Icke’s work, for instance!

However MJ-12 has valid points worth considering.

Whatever your walk - do keep enjoying yourself and good luck with the debate.

Hi MoonBurn,

Hows it going?

Perhaps one of the Sacred Geometry gurus would be kind enough to post an answer. Your question reminded me of Bob Frissell’s book ‘Nothing in this Book is True, But it’s exactly how things Are’ – where he discusses Drunvalo’s slant on the chakra system. He describes the chakra systems and harmonics of music as been related to the geometrical pattern called “the egg of life”!?*! Plenty of stuff like this on the net, when you have time and feel a need for diversion!

Enjoy,

Hi James,

Good point. A shame that often vulnerable people can be taken in by cold readers for instance, clothed as it were with the trapping of psychic aptitude. Whereas a skilled intuitive might employ the cards effectively, and would that still be a poor form of practice! As an analogy, for example in the UK the Spiritualist National Union (SNU) have decreed that mediums demonstrating of taking private sitting in SNU churches must not employ psychometry, even if it acts as a tool to enable the start of a reading on a psychic level before leading to the establishment of a link with spirit.

However should we really consider the average person as that innocent or gullible, as they have chosen to take part in the enactment or ritual played out between the sitter and reader as it were! How do we approach providing a meaningful response to the original question “how accurate are tarot readings”?

Cheers,

Stephen

How accurate are tarot readings?

Hi,

I am of a split opinion on this one yet: -

Perhaps only as good as the instrument that uses them or any other divination tool or device. Does not a poor workman blame his tools and an artist keep them in pristine order. I got to know a little a charming English lady who I had been sitting in psychic development group with over a period of about a couple of years. She was a 2nd generation psychic/tarot reader. Now her tarot skill was refined to a point of unerring accuracy. For instance she had categorized many thousands of dream symbols, and while she was performing her tarot interpretation work she would find that appropriate symbols would come to her mind. This enabled her to be confident in giving as good as you can get statements for hers clients. On the other hand when say doing a spirit link she found it initially very difficult as she felt she did not have the adequate tools (not realising perhaps that it was herself) to produce accurate information from her links. But with practice she gained confidence and could really do the business putting more experienced clairvoyant/mediums to shame.

Cheers,

Hi Marcus,

Sorry to spoil one perception! A simpler but interesting option is more than likely i.e. you are being more aware clairvoyantly/Astral Vision of aspects of your own energy body. You may have already done some exercises and viewed or sensed the aura say around your finger tips. If you haven’t try after some energy work like NEW practice observing how the aura expands, and becomes more visible when say placing fingers from each hand together. You may also notice the aura arc as you move each hand closer to the other. If you are sitting or say when resting in dimmed light or say before going to sleep you may become more aware of the energy body and aura of the room and surrounding objects etc. Consider also the flow from brow chakra out over the body and down to ground. In addition there are secondary but powerful chakras located at the feet. Personally I don’t think it is anything to write home about in terms of entities. You should be pleased that your perception is becoming more refined.

Take care,

Hi,

I would echo the same question, but would also ask if this is not seasonal or triggered by certain foods or environment - are you or have you been eating a diet overly rich in dairy for a long time? Obviously you really respect your Gran, but consider getting a 2nd opinion from another doctor or perhaps a nutritionist. I ask this as this as the Western dairy/meat based diet can often cause congestion/mucus type symptoms and related discomfort and digestion issues. Consider replacing or moderating intake of dairy produce with an alternative such as soya milk/cheese, and supplementing with calcium rich veg and replace denatured food like sugar & white flour etc with wholefoods. It does notmean that you have to become a Vegi hippy/new ager.
There are plenty of sites about the dairy/non dairy debate on the net. As I am studying complimentary health as an older student - please do not take my suggestions as advice!!!

Again seek professional opinion first, especially before experimenting with dietary change.

Hope this helps,

S[Smiley]

P.S. Healing thoughts are with you. Liked the fav foods thread... I am not one to preach, but you know what i'm saying!!!

Hi,

Just thinking of your thread - I am someone more experienced in yoga practice with only a modicum and growing interest in Tia Chi/Chi Gung, being more inclined towards their associated healing modalities.

As per the other thread I had similar issues to those discussed with raised sexual energy following the return to yoga/meditation etc a number of years ago. I have found balanced approach to energy work a great benefit not only in terms of health & well being, and also found that it has run hand in hand with spiritual awareness and growth in a range of extra sensory abilities and awareness.

Thinking of the subject, I had opportunity to attend class with a really personable teacher Jayne Storey. Jane runs workshops near to where I live in the UK. I understand her video course is respected in the States and is reasonably priced. I believe that her approach is mainly Yang style and don't know if the tapes/dvds are too basic for your needs.

See: http://www.energytraining.com/ or try a search on Amazon.

All the best,

Hi AuntClair,

Amongst lots of other things, I am someone who also has a genuine interest in mediumistic development and work. I would be really interested to learn if are you a working medium and ask how long have you been developing and enjoying your talent?

I wholehearted agree with you about the appalling rise of money grabbing with respect to psychic/mediumistic readings, but also find some difficulty with the way chat lines are run etc.

I appreciate that you are coming from a place of genuine intention, and value being of service in your chosen calling. it would be interesting to see what your feelings are on this?

Kind wishes and blessings,

Jason.

Hi Jason,

Looks like you are not doing that badly. No doubt you have been keeping a dream/OBE journal and have been able to gain some good insight already.

I’ve only recently got back into experiential AP… following 6 months worth of dreams state stuff and shed loads of clearing out mental*&%$£ clutter etc.

Here is an example which only now after over a year makes sense for me.
Dream c 07:45 am Thursday 20th Feb 03

Tail end of dream. Seemed to be in N Ireland at a bar or hotel bar… conference Hotel. Aware of person A & person B for some reason! (A & B are real people).

There seemed to be some traveling round before getting to the bar. I appeared to be with people I know, although there was a feeling of looking for something!

At one point I appeared to be explaining to B that I was capable of carrying out a demonstration. He seemed to be of the opinion that this was not a good idea at the time. He then held me back his grasp seemed to be uncomfortable with what seemed like an energy pull. I was unhappy about this and mentally dissolved the scenario… the bar collapsed and I could see now from a distance of about 25 meters a standing figure of a person amongst the ruins. Difficult to identify the individual although I thought at the time it was either A or B. In this I felt empowered in been able to demonstrate control over my circumstances.

A comforting thought came from somewhere as if to say that regardless of other’s influence - I had retained free will. Just after this awoke with a feeling that this dream might have some significance and that I had to learn from this subconscious experience. There had been a series of other dream sequences prior to this scenario, but they were difficult to track back on. I assume that the final sequence had more priority and that I was been given an opportunity to explore its significance.

In and around the same time I was looking into rooms at the Hotel or what appeared to be a conference centre. In particular I looked into a room which had been set up as a lecture or conference room. I could see a person (with bald head and someone I did not recognise) preparing their flip stand. There appeared to be some drawing(s) on the flip chart, nothing specific something like diagrams or a flow chart. I pulled away from this scene which left me mildly curious.

Nov 03 went to Buckland Hall in Brecon, Wales. Looked just like the conference centre and fitted the my initial perceived Irish rural setting very well. Changes in my learning path are also consistant as are feelings of self confidence etc.

All the best,

S[Smiley]
