I wasn’t going to poke my ore in as I have been nosing around enough already (whoops Smiley) and assume that you already had ideas and suggestions along these or similar lines of thinking anyway.

Here are some ideas hopefully worth considering. From my limited experience I have seen all of the phenomena you have explained above, although not quite combined together in this way. I would agree that there would appear to be some unwanted spirit activity. Which must be alarming for your friend as I can appreciate having had to put up with not dissimilar in the family home in the distant past.

I would ask why they attached themselves to your friend’s home and has similar activity occurred before?

My gut feeling for this occurring is along the lines that someone who lives there is beginning to open up psychically or mediumistically for whatever reason. Why would they be opening up psychically and how would that influence unwarranted spirit activity? Typical scenarios we are all familiar with include: a child moving through into pubescence, a lady dealing with menopause or perhaps someone (like ouija as per Smiley’s post) is dabbling with spirit communication or other psychic energy activity in the first instance! It could be even someone who visits your friend’s home that matches one or more of these profiles.

Who are these spirits and why would they appear not to move on? Where have they come from and why are they hanging around being a nuisance to all and sundry? Has someone passed recently who connects with the family (less likely considering the odd tapes) or possibly neighborhood in some way?

One theory often favored by some schools of thought or belief is that they fit the case for Earth bound spirits. These are individuals who don’t have the capacity to either recognize that they have passed or simply deny it. Or have other attributes like inability to move on due to their past attachment to the Earth plane for whatever reason.

In all likelihood they are just being a nuisance because they have found a source of energy, and this is what enables them to produce the annoying phenomena. Again the source of energy would most likely be as already suggested.

So how does you friend deal with this. Some great suggestions have already been made and maybe the candle was a once off event anyway.

I have no experience in dealing with local paranormal groups and would be skeptical of their abilities. Although one of the more larger and well established paranormal societies should be able to suggest a reliable investigator. Personally I am a little distrusting of this approach as this may bring unwarranted attention from sensation seekers!

If you still can’t clear this annoyance - then lots of other alternatives exist, although two are probably worth considering.

1.   Seek through recommendation a medium or healer who has good experience of Spirit Rescue and removal. They would with the assistance/protection of their helpers/guides use their own raised auric energy or power as bait (as spirit of this type are attracted like moths to the proverbial light), and then employ the help of their guides to take the spirit into the ‘real light’ as per the Angelic suggestion. Need I explain more!

2.   Same idea again, but with the assistance of a suitable qualified magician or wiccan/pagan. Just that the terminology is different and need for guides may or may not be employed. (Anyone can correct me if I am wrong here).

3.   Other good practices include space clearing or Feng Shui, charms, wards, and de-cluttering, which should make the home less attractive to their attention etc. Otherwise read PPSD and follow some of Mr RB’s advice.

4.   It may just end anyway.  

As per EnderWiggin's offer are there not but a few people on this forum who have the ability or can recommend someone who may help your lady friend near to where she lives.

If you don’t mind please allow me to pose an intuitive (appreciate that I may well be completly up a gum tree here) question to you. It may seem seem somewhat obtuse, but I hope it will illicit the answer that perhaps has been hanging around waiting to be released into your mind until now!

I do not mean to belittle your statements as they derive from your own personal experience, which is obviously very special for you. I also have a life time of experience: having faced negativity in a variety of paranormal and physical forms sometimes mild and occasional very frightening if not physically threatining. In my experience ‘white light’ and similar techniques have had tremendous benefit, not only for me but for many other people I know personally.

Would it not be more positive to say that whatever method we employ in dispersing negativity be it for example: psivamps, terrorism, bullying, or religious bigotry or anything that is not from a place of TRUTH - should we not always come from a space of loving and trusting intent that we know nurtures us in arms of protection?

I think INTENT and LOVE are the keys here whether we choose to employ the use of magic, healing, prayer, core image work or whatever system! If you believe that the source of your advisory is more powerful then do you not empower it! If we feel disempowered do we not ask for help and find that it is given freely. If we are in a position to help another do we not in turn lend a helping hand! Clearly you are someone from that mold and have already had a blessed opportunity to help and in future to make a substantial difference for the benefit of many people in need in particular and the greater good for all. If you have not been already been told this then you should consider my humble words.

Should we not add into the pot other parameters like for example the concept of an infinite number of coexistent universes and the opportunity for the individualized soul to transmigrate between || streams of creation.

Did Seth when speaking through the channel of the good Jane Roberts speak of something not dissimilarly obtuse and propose that all our past and future incarnations run concurrently with the one we consider that we are experiencing now? To help understand this paradigm would we not have to consider that it would be necessary to take the factor of time out of the equation! I’m sure I have read something similar somewhere else if not from the Seth material.
 
Apparently according to the wise sage Douglas Adams the answer to everything is 42. Allegedly Adams is not only missed by the lost generation of the late 1970s and early 1980's but also by the community at large. Apparantly a small cult of Adams adherents exists and are armed and prepared to answer any and all question of this import and most sureal nature (as needs arrise). These very individuals may well be in conclave at this very moment, and are likely pondering your most eloquent ‘koan like mind wrench’ in a somewhat innocuous pub in South East England. Hopefully the beer is not to warm least they fall off the edge of the world gagging on the insipid foam thereof. If they find the answer I’ll let you know, but I’m not quite sure where the pub is (umm again).

Just a question for Risu no Kairu – Obviously you have put a lot of time into the forum. Hope you do not think it cheeky to ask if you had experience these feelings when practicing on a full stomach?

An example I am aware of that is not dissimilar is when an individual prepares for and then sits for certain altered states, for example trance communication, or more physical phenomena. I have been taught that you should avoid eating at least several hours before deep altered state practice of this type, and have observed that the sitter can feel physically nauseous due to the build of power/energy built up in the lower energy areas, or at least feel some sort of discomfort due to the associated and heightened sense of sensitivity.
 
It would be interesting to learn about similar experiences of discomfort when practicing other energy raising techniques, and how this was overcome?

Thank you for your thoughts. I appreciate that spelling them out has had tremendous value for you. I always find if fascinating how ones own spirit communicates with the conscious aspect of ourselves, and it always seems to be there when we need it the most (regardless of denial at a conscious level).

Allow me to be go completly off track and selfishly share a little muse: -

Contact with ones own spirit -

 For me this most commonly occurs through intuitive hunches during the waking day, or via dreams, deep meditation and occasionally highly symbolic LD or AP’s (however infrequent). Sometimes I am reminded by this greater aspect in and around the handling of for instance a difficult life lesson. This is often preceded by weeks or even months of sharply focused and sometimes profound lucid dreams, precognition and sometime bizarre synchronous events!

Without going onto the ins and outs of the circumstances of any particular lesson - the most powerful experience had so far with soul or self realization came following a point in life where I allowed my to wallow in deep self despair. A realization entered my mind that if only one particular individual other than myself could be helped then I would gladly sacrifice all opportunities in this life past, present and future, Just so that they could enjoy the a life they had not had a chance to have. The very second this thought had cleared my mind and heart  - what could only be described as an Angelic voice called my name (I had heard it before at other times in my life, but chose not to act on the call). It felt as if the Angelic caller was not only fully and completely sounded at the core of my being, but also all around and absolutely embracing if perceived as an exterior feeling. At that moment it was as if I was more loved than through all my existence spent in a hundred life times and more. Slowly the feeling faded by I felt cocooned in a bubble of warmth for what seemed months thereafter… the rest is personal history.

I have learned to love my own spirit or I have experienced and know with out a doubt that I am totally and completely loved regardless of life’s trails however hard. Since that moment I have dedicated my self to giving service to the other and place myself in absolute trust of the greater truth an live life thankful of this gracious opportunity we are all given. OK the path gets wobbly from time to time, but I steady myself by sending that most simple of thoughts to my own heart that I am loved. AS per the song ‘All you need is’. Love yourself as you would wish the other to love you. After that miracles can and do happen wit out a doubt.

So ever since I live life in the moment as best I possibly can.

Oh back to Astral Postmarks and OBE’s – I had met some green eyed travelers in what I thought was an LD once, they talked to me without words and very strange experience it was too, but that’s another story.

If you want an easy read on Auras try for example ‘The Handbook of the Aura by L Gregory & G Treissman. The illustrations and explanations of the colours are interesting and fun. When you are ready then go back to the heavy stuff, you should appreciate it all the better!

Opinions differ widely on the nature of images perceived via auric sight during mirror watching. Similar effects can be observed if sitting with a group or partner when watching each other. The thing is not to be afraid as seeing these sorts of images are quite normal.

Some of the following are potential candidates for explanation: hypnagogic imagery (from ones own mind like you seen when half asleep), impressions of past lives, spirit beings or entities and other phenomena like for instance a person appearing to disappear so on. By all means make a note of your perceptions, but try not to overly dwell on it once you have finished the exercise. Treat it as a learning experience, as it takes time to develop judgment of ones observations and find sensible meaning. We are all students here!  

The type of pre and after vision I experience is along the lines of the vision screen as described in Robert Bruce’s training material, and this screen (for me it is like a pool of violet transparent light) seems to sit as if suspended in front of the eyes. It will fade as you bring your awareness back into line with your surroundings. Do make a point of keeping a glass of water at hand as prolonged sitting like this can be a little dehydrating.

It is good practice not to over this practice as it can be a little tiring. It is always a fine idea to ground your self afterwards by say having a good stretch or perhaps a walk. It is better to share observing each other with a partner if you can or even better still under guided supervision where ever possible.
