26  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Silly Little Finger Bending Exercise on: June 16, 2015, 23:02:56
I think perhaps you are expecting this exercise to do more than it should for you in terms of feedback. As I recall Bruce refers to the placing of intent as a specific area of consciousness that you get to by doing this exercise. I don't think that necessarily means it comes with strong symptoms when you are there. I sense that you are expecting some big kinaesthetic reaction to denote you made it. For me it was a very subtle thing. I go to move my finger but don't and there is almost a residual sense that your energy finger moved a split second later. That's it for me. I trust I am there without analysing it and then just place my intent and move on to the next prep process.

I think you're over complicating things. Let's not forget Bruce's approach to non physical exploration starts out in a very subtle manner (you imagine. No heavy symptoms or sensations there so why should there be for the act of placing intent?).

Am I gonna be the first one to make the obvious joke that you should always use protection in the bedroom? Smiley

But on the the actual topic - do any of you protect yourselves when you go to sleep at night. Probably not. And as it effectively constitutes the same thing then why would you when you project? I think maybe your beliefs are affecting you there

We don't really have much on Kundalini rising here. I would suggest going on over to the Astral Dynamics forums as they have dedicated Kundalini subforums which will be more helpful

29  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Why Phasing Method needs to be renamed. on: April 30, 2015, 23:27:19
I suppose I see where the confusion arises because if you look at the Pulse forum description for Astral Consciousness it lists phasing alongside meditation and OBEs implying it's an alternative method rather than an umbrella term for them all
30  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Why Phasing Method needs to be renamed. on: April 30, 2015, 13:43:23
Perhaps it would help to see where the term phasing came from on the Pulse. As I understand it Bob Monroe coined the term at TMI and Frank Kepple who used hemi-sync cottoned on to the term in the early 2000s on the Pulse.

At TMI we teach a model of phasing levels of consciousness. At one end of the spectrum is C1 waking consciousness and at the other is being fully in spirit after you graduate from this earth life system. In between are all manner of states of awareness including day dreaming, light meditation, coma, deep meditation, mystical experiences etc... Thy all come under the bracket of phasing. So even if you are at work thinking about what you want for dinner tonight you are slightly out of phase with the physical. A very small part of you is not in the present andwith your dinner instead, as it were. With meditation and other practises you are just moving further and further out of phase with the physical. OBEs are very much out of phase because you generally have little to no awareness of the physical.

So I think the definition may have changed a little on the pulse based on Frank Kepples approach but at its core it remains the same
31  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Anxiousness on: April 06, 2015, 13:18:12
So you are saying the more relaxed you are the more anxious you become? Has this only come about since doing this kind of work?

Sounds like somewhere along the line your mental process got screwed up and you are overthinking things. Is your mindset one of if I move a muscle I will ruin it all?

Depending what your goals are for using the gateway series you are permitted to move a bit. The focus levels are not that fragile ( I guess this all depends on how much you need to thrash).

32  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Anxiousness on: April 05, 2015, 14:31:20
Quick question - does this also happen when you just try to go to sleep? If not what do you think makes it different?
33  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: can you gain types of empowerment from OBE's? on: March 25, 2015, 13:49:52
Well in regard to your lucid dream I really wouldn't worry about the 'reality' of it all. Some of your experiences may be super real and some may be grainy black and white images. That doesn't necessarily devalue them in any way if you got something useful from it. For example, I did a focus 15 meditation on the train to work several years ago and I got just vague impressions and seemingly intuitive information on a past life. I couldn't really say if I saw any real images or was oob but I did some research afterwards and I found this specific person existed and information about where he lived and when he died checked out. On the surface the experience could have been equated to my imagination if I scored it in reality points but the value of the information was incredible. It served to remove certain belief I hold that restricted my spiritual growth.

There are other threads here that debate what is deemed 'real' in the non-physical that may be good to look at. Also try not to judge your experiences from what you read in books where they seem to have these incredibly lucid accounts. Remember they only print their best stuff. I'm sure they have many more experiences of being partially sighted and unable to get off the bed.

In regard to your ungrounded ness in waking life I'm not sure what to say. All cliched stuff really. Get enough sleep, eat balanced. Meat is a good grounder. Especially red meat. Sometimes mince beef burgers are given to people with strong kundalini symptoms as it is a good grounder. Do you use brainwave entrainment technology? Binaural beats etc? Some of them are not great quality and can leave you ungrounded. I have an article and grounding and some techniques I can mail you when I get home. Not sure how useful they will be though
34  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: can you gain types of empowerment from OBE's? on: March 24, 2015, 20:46:20
Being fully conscious is being fully grounded in the physical. When people are depressed a part of them doesn't really want to be in the physical so they are quite ungrounded and usually slightly out of phase with the physical. A simple example would be when you're depressed you may be dwelling on the past or be fearing the future. Being conscious and grounded is partly about being in the present. I wouldn't be surprised if a number of people get into OBEs as a means to escape their lives of sorts.

The outdoor activities you do are very grounding. You are very correct in thinking being fully grounded will help you with OBE practice. It makes the difference more pronounced. For example, there is another thread about simple OBE method utilising sleep deprivation. Obviously a very ungrounded way of doing things in which the veil between physical and non-physical starts to become unclear. Not a healthy way of approaching this stuff. When I teach stuff for TMI we emphasise the importance of being grounded to help you go further in your explorations. I use an elastic band as an example. when it is not flexed that is waking consciousness. When it is fully stretched that can be focus 21. If you are ungrounded the elastic band maybe semi-flexed. You may think you're back in full waking consciousness but you're not really which means the next time you go to focus 21 it is unclear for you. If you are fully grounded the boundary between waking consciousness and focus 21 is more pronounced which makes reaching it easier every time you try.

Isaywhaat,

A seemingly odd question (and maybe a little personal) but are you quite depressed in your life at the moment? This question is related to you struggling to feel fully conscious.
36  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: The first successful self initiated OBE on: March 17, 2015, 23:38:13
I think it's good you document carefully your routine when you get up. I find doing this really helps you isolate why some days it works and doesn't. For example I discovered in my own routine if I got up and let my mind drift onto topics for even a few minutes of the day ahead before meditating this would affect my mental state a lot during compared with if I just focused on my intent for the meditation as soon as I got up and up to lying back down again.
37  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Help! I don't know what this is! on: March 10, 2015, 21:27:16
No idea but on a side note if it is photographic memory I know for sure you wouldn't make a good remote viewer. Only people who can't do it with any reliability.

I think the 'Help!' in the title was a little unnecessary. Perhaps save it for if the devil knocks on your astral door.

The book Projectiology by Waldo Viera has hundreds of methods. It's over 1000 pages

39  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: A Question For The Pros on: February 27, 2015, 23:50:40

Perhaps the children need retrieving first. Maybe then there would be no fear for it to feed off. It doesn't really sound like a place the children should be even if it wasn't there.
40  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Etheric Project at will on: February 25, 2015, 23:41:36
At the moment I don't think it has any effect on the science community if you provide even the most infallible evidence. They will just decide your methodology was flawed or you are a hoaxer.

I also don't think it matters who does the experiment. You see noted scientists try to investigate this stuff and as soon as they find out for themselves that it is real they lose all credibility in the scientific community and they just become another woo woo crackpot.
41  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Need Some Advice... on: February 13, 2015, 13:31:29
**n00bie alert.**

Visualization question, are we supposed to not move our eyes at all while doing visualization? That can be a challenge.

How do you then get your body asleep while keeping the mind awake? I figured you were supposed to try to get tired enough that your body then goes to sleep, while you some how get your mind to stay awake. I either eventually fall asleep, or stay awake for an hour or more and finally just give up!!

I personally think you are over complicating something that really doesn't need to be. After all is not the point of meditation to relinquish thought and the logical left brain. You're giving it fodder. Now you've brought attention to your eyes it has become an issue. If you just let go and not consider it then it isn't a problem.

I keep reiterating in my posts that most peoples problems on here are their mindset and the mental foundations are not properly in place because they hear about some awesome new method guaranteed to work then get annoyed when it doesn't. I'm not saying you in particular. Rather a recurring trend I notice on here.
42  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Need Some Advice... on: February 09, 2015, 17:07:22
I picked up that you said you need 'serious advice' on this. Taking this stuff too seriously will only inhibit your progress. How can you relax if you're serious? This process needs to be fun. Be child like about it, play. Beating yourself up about failure is a downward spiral. Perhaps just let go a little bit

Don't pay too much attention to what you assume is focus 10 (mind-awake-body-asleep) based on what you've read. Everyone experiences it differently. I know people who have full awareness of their body in focus 10 and are getting so much information they have to sit up and write just to make sure they get it all (all the while in focus 10).

Over on Bruce Moens Afterlife Knowledge forum is a woman called Vicky. She wrote a book documenting her spontaneous PK experiences which is really interesting. If I remember rightly when she has her child she passes on some of her abilities.

It's called Persephones journey by Vicky short. A very personal book that is a good read
44  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: I can't stop thinking of negative things when I try to meditate and project on: January 30, 2015, 14:13:56
Might sound corny but a lot of people melt fear with love. Maybe worth doing some heart centric meditations that open your heart space. Or perhaps hemi-sync gateway wave I track called release and recharge aimed at removing fears and the emotions associated with such fears.
45  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Why Astral Projections Feel “More Real” Than Physical Waking Life on: January 29, 2015, 13:30:57
Nice thread. I like to look at it this way...

There is only one thing you can say definitively about you own reality, "I am having an experience in the present moment." That is the only thing you can't argue with but you can only say it about yourself (am I wrong? Can anyone think of another?) Every other facet is debatable. For example, I don't know that anyone else truely exists. They may be my imagination as with everything else . After all, what we perceive is just electrical signals interpreted by a brain (apparently). So truly all a person can say is I am having an experience in the present moment. What that experience is I don't know.

So based on this logic reality can only be where our awareness is focused in the present moment. Whether that be watching tv, visiting the akashic records or tripping balls on magic mushrooms. All of these are having an experience in the present moment. That is where your consciousness is focused in the present. So that is real. That is reality.

Also like to quote frank Demarco who said if something effects change in me is that reality? Makes pretty much everything reality

47  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Any way to change your unique method of APing? on: January 23, 2015, 16:48:34
There are teachers following and guiding your progress...that possibility takes some getting used to.

What I find more and more is that I may go into a meditation with one method planned but I make the shift via a method that I don't think came from me but rather a helper (in the form of intuition). For example I would never have thought exiting would occur by mentally moving by non-physical hands upwards. That's it. No other part of my body. When that came to me I just did it without analysing and it worked. Similarly the notion to simply imagine falling backwards from a standing position came in an insight which no way would I logically before an exercise think yeah im gonna try that...I think it could work well.

So I think there is this constant evolution of methods you adopt with maybe a nudge from the other side.
48  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Meeting strange man everytime I have sleep paraysis/obe on: January 20, 2015, 02:21:39
First house I moved into with some college mates, we had a friendly young lady of a ghost from the 19th century watching over and protecting the house. Coolest place I ever lived just by the ambience she provided.

I'll have to write up that story sometime...

At TMI there is one room which has an entity residing in it. Seems to like some people more than others. I spent 2 weeks in the room on my own but didn't realize at the time. Woke up in the night and something was next to me in bed with its arm over me (like it was spooning me). Turns out it quite liked me (evidently) but it has been reputed to punch some people during exercises.
49  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Meeting strange man everytime I have sleep paraysis/obe on: January 19, 2015, 23:30:38
Of late I've noticed a man who waits in the hall by my bedroom. I'm ashamed to say when I first noticed him fear must have kicked in at the sight of an unknown entity in my house and i shouted. He ran into the toilet to hide from me. I then acknowledged my overreaction and realised he was more scared of me.

The following few times I saw him he was terrified of me and I have been slowly trying to show him I just want to help him. It's slow going. I have his name but he is reticent to give much else up. My intuition tell me he needs retrieving but this isn't a grab and drop in 27 run but rather something that requires a more thoughtful approach.

Parts of my house are over five hundred years old so there's a good chance he was a former resident. A while back I was lying in bed aware of a Victorian maid standing over me saying I needed more blankets as it was cold and nurturing me so there is definitely some history still present in the property.

Referred to as a cannonball exit Smiley
