1  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral experiences! / Re: Create your own worlds? on: September 03, 2008, 22:39:41
I had good experience with imagining a fictional place/environment and holding the vision as long as I could before falling asleep... One of my dreams then happened in a similar place like in my vision.

But yes, I believe that in the highest realms/ in the Source, everything is possible- create your worlds, fly through the universe faster than light, go through different dimensions, morph into objects...
I can vaguely remember only one thing from before my physical birth, and that is flying through the endless universe!!! Every time I look at the stars on the sky, the "memory" arises, with an undescribable feeling (the best thing I can compare it to is like seeing your hometown after 30 years of living in a different place)

2  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to OBE discussions! / First obe? on: August 31, 2008, 10:10:58
This might be kind of boring but anyway I felt i could share it smiley

Last night I had a weird dream of a highway along which grew a strange plant, the Astral Projection plant. grin I didn't take it in the dream, but anyway it ended and I was laying on my bed, still with a bit of dream imagery.
I became conscious enough so I thought i would try an exit technique. I imagined myself hovering above my body and started to feel intense vibrations (I believe it was my physical body shaking) and saw my room, through my astral eyes. The wierd thing is that everything was in shades of grey (not even slightest hint of color) and with sharp image. My field of vision was quite narrow.
It ended quickly, in a few seconds. I thought i would try again, this time the vibrations were even crazier but no OBE that I know of happened.
Again this dreamy state faded away quickly and I could not keep it more than a minute, this happens every time to me when I become conscious.

Was this an obe or just a dream of it?

The weird thing is that I could feel the vibrations and my physical body even during the "obe", this makes me believe that during these experiences, part of your awareness always stays in your body...

One note, that night I went to sleep earlier (after midnight) so this could have helped.
3  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral experiences! / Re: Prophetic? - You Decide on: August 30, 2008, 09:31:13
Interesting... I didn't read this post until now but this morning on one of my little OBE adventures I was interacting with someone else in another astral zone and while we were talking down by what appeared to be a beach we both heard a thunder and lightening and looked toward the land and saw a large dark column of cloud forming and moving toward us quickly.
lol, I recently had a dream of tornado coming towards me, it was dark and with a lot of lightning. I said my family to leave quickly (we were on a vacation) but I kept videotaping it in the dream. It just turned away from us and faded away.

Surprisingly enough, we had a few tornados in our country a few days later (we just rarely have them here)  rolleyes

4  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to OBE discussions! / Re: Strange thunderclap during sleep.... on: August 19, 2008, 20:47:30
I often wake up abruptly and hear the echo of a LOUD door slam and that's what I thought woke me up, but no door did actualy move.
I thing these are hypnagogic hallucinations (is that the right word?, I mean the hallucinations after waking up)

5  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral experiences! / Re: My house looked magnificent! on: August 17, 2008, 13:44:19
When I once looked out of a window in my room in dream/LD/OBE (it all blends together for me really), I saw the most amazing evening sky I have ever seen. There were colors of orange, purple and pink, and in the background I heard beautiful ambient hiss/drone (like in Steve Roach ambient tracks).
This picture http://www.flipstips.com/images/purple%20pink%20beach.jpg comes close but still not quite.
It was definately one of the experiences I'll remember forever.

6  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to OBE discussions! / Re: hm...Help with my Boxed Nirvana. on: August 12, 2008, 23:35:57
On the note of this, I found weird encoding artifacts in the original Boxed nirvana mp3. Most of the bandwdth is cut off @13kHz and there are just ocassional "bursts" to 16kHz. According to this find, converting the mp3 to much lower bitrate (80-96kbs) could possibly improve the quality by filtering out these high frequency bursts or "ringings"...
7  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to OBE discussions! / Re: hm...Help with my Boxed Nirvana. on: August 12, 2008, 22:51:17
your PC does not have sound card? If it does, try plugging the phones directly into your card, the souncards are usually made with enough power on the line output to drive phones. Just a little reminder, don't forget to turn the volume down in windows otherwise you might get shocked by the volume grin

BTW why cannot you put it on your digital player, it does not have enough memory or what? In this case, down-converting the mp3 to something like 96kbps shouldn't harm it much as I believe the Boxed Nirvana does not have too much high frequencies in it.

Hope this helps

8  Healing / Welcome to Healing discussions! / Question on mental healing on: August 12, 2008, 21:16:32
Is it possible to heal (by mind, not by medical treatment) diseases that lead to unrecoverable physical damage to the body/ parts of it, such as Alzheimer's disease?

Edit: that was probably a bad example as a person with Alzheimer would probably have hard time doing mental healing... but I hope you know what I mean smiley

9  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to OBE discussions! / Re: Has anybody tried this YouTube video? on: August 09, 2008, 20:00:12
Has anyone tried to record stereo bi-aural with a mono microphone?  If I can dig one up I'll try it   grin
If you mix stereo into mono, you are really adding the two channels together. So the result will be a sine wave with sine volume envelope ("beating") where the frequency of the volume envelope is F2-F1 (F2 - original left channel frequency, F1- original right channel frequency). Like this: http://www.picotech.com/experiments/sound_interference/graphics/frequency_image.gif

The resulting wave cannot be used for binaural audio, because the "trick" behind binaural beats is that they are mixed in the brain, creating the beating inside brain.

10  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to OBE discussions! / Re: Weird..... Something happened while watching this; on: August 09, 2008, 13:09:53
I notice this when sitting in a fixed position for a few minutes, trying to "balance" my head. It then starts moving around a bit without my control, I think its the head trying to automatically balance itself

11  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to OBE discussions! / Re: Has anybody tried this YouTube video? on: August 08, 2008, 20:40:40
The clip is in MONO, there is no way it could work.
12  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to OBE discussions! / Re: Projecting from sleep paralysis/hypnogogic state- impossible? on: July 30, 2008, 22:37:33
I know there's nothing to be afraid of in SP but the fear is subconscious and uncontrollable. I can also wake at will from SP but it requires a lot of effort (strive to move my arm as much as I can and it eventually moves, getting me out of the state; it's funny how all the nerve connections are cut off effectively leaving only the head awake smiley).

I've been having a lot of SP's when I was a child, they come just rarely now.

But like one member here said, I feel like I have a special connection to the physical at this time/life (maybe because I chose to), making it for me much harder to break this "connection" than for others. But anyway I find my true home in dreams, this physical world looks extremely strange and odd to me! Especially some of the modern society "trends" which I absolutely don't get, and have no explantation for... embarassed
13  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to OBE discussions! / Re: Projecting from sleep paralysis/hypnogogic state- impossible? on: July 25, 2008, 10:55:38
OK so yesterday as I woke up, I did not move or anything. As I went back to sleep after a while, I gained awareness in a dream. But it did not look like lucid dream, I was aware I was dreaming and things got clearer after I realised that. But the problem was I could not move, I only consciously observed the dream, the dream had me in control. Luckily this was my first LD longer than a few seconds grin (maybe it could be even classified as OBE as I was in my house and everything looked as it looks in waking life) But anyway it ended quickly again.
Like in all the few-second LDs I had i was aware that I was dreaming but I could not control the dream, why is that?

And here comes another trance release! grin This time it's melodic trance mixed with hard trance/dance elements.

Online stream with cool picture but pretty bad audio quality http://www.vimeo.com/1400244

CFTraveler- Thanks for the advice, I'll try it out. The problem I face with all these projection things is that when I try to stay awake waiting for the body to fall asleep, it never does and I just stare on my closed eyelids an hour or two.
Similar is with early-morning attempts, when I actually have the desire to project, it fades away. If I don't, I usually drift between sleep and awake, but without any "awareness".

It seems to me that I can't gain awareness in other state than awake, I actually had a few lucid dreams but every time I become lucid, I can sense the dream uncontrollably fading away and I'm awake within a few minutes.

Synergy- when I let go in sleep paralysis, I usually fall back asleep with not very nice dreams sad I can't gain awareness in SP (or in any other state than awake it seems) and if I do, I'm awake without even knowing how huh
