Ever have a snippet or somewhat recognizable phrase from a song just as you wake?In my case, the song is from a friend  expressing himself perfectly with the words of a popular song. Thank goodness for lyrics search on the web- half the time I don't know the song at all- just the phrase I can mentally hear. Anyone else doing or hearing that?

I really like the crystal obelisk idea, (as long as the power emanating from lt was not too overwhelming- some can really fry your socks) and it would be visible from long distances. The oak tree is great  but it might be harder to discern from the other foliage on the island- unless it was really HUGE and in a clearing. Both ideas are peaceful serene images that would be fun & pleasant to pop into.

      I realize this subject could be a tad cheeky for a second time post but
does anyone else think a massive stone monument occupying the lion's share
of real estate on the island is unfriendly to OBErs? Just from a emotional
point of view Egyptian style pyramids bring to mind; tomb raiders, curses/ mummies after the tomb raiders, dead & sacrificed things and several thousand years of dust.  It's also someone burial chamber - which is taboo
both above & below the conscious level.
     So why pick a stone pyramid? Is it protective?- maybe too much. Does it act as a large distinctive landmark to travelers?- so would the Golden Arches
of McDonald's hamburgers. I'm curious to know why that landmark would be selected. The island idea is totally inspired. Sand & ocean are so  relaxing.
     So IF the pyramid is both protective & a landmark , perhaps a alternative
item might work better. A really large fluffy pillow with a big blue circle on
it for landing. Or if you're coming by sea, a welcome to A P island flag w/
a smiley face on it.  Or if you're instantly appearing a helpful concierge in the lobby of a tropical style hotel would say " Welcome to A P island if you need any thing just let me know." Then he hands you his contact card which you need only pull out & look at to call him/her
   What do you think? Any ideas?

Found myself jumping from the bow of a small white cabin cruiser piloted
by some big guy - who had chugged straight up to the shore without backing
off the throttle much and made a soft landing . The clear water got deep quick from the beach. The beach sand  was white but not as brilliant white as the hull of that boat . My regular beach togs are green & fluorescent orange
board shorts w/ matching bikini top. Looked around for mooring posts but found  foundation struts from some building to tie to. Didn't see anyone else.
Ended there. Too bad. Really like the beach.
