Every bit of your body, all of it, has a purpose.  Every breath you take, every drink you drink, every pill you pop, every joint or cigarette you smoke, all of it has a purpose.  The purpose could be to do something in this world and make it a little more enjoyable and that is all you have to react to is the outer world.  The outer world will not stop the inner world.  The use of any mind altering thing; smoke, drink, pill, etc. only allows a quicker access to the spiritual.  What you experience in the spiritual as a result of any of these things is only to you.  That's if you don't do something stupid like drink and drive, then you may involve a lot of people and spend a lifetime covering it up. 
But, doing these things, you limit your possibility of knowing the truth.  You only can know the truth of what that thing is that you just smoked, drank, or ingested does to you.  Nothing that happens to you when you do things like that is true or can be true to any body else. 
You could see magnificent colors, creatures, people, things; hear sounds, feel strange vibrations, whatever, but after a time you're right back in the mundane world that is covering the stuff you just saw. 
Sure, you're convinced that that stuff is real.  And time and time again the same thing happens when you do those, so why stop?
I don't think that you have to stop because the inner is not the outer and the inner can be harsh and the outer needs help in reaction to the inner. 
Just be careful and take breaks in between the sessions of extreme ganja activity and let us know what you see.
There is a certain benefit to doing those things I mention and that is when you do those things, you attract the elements of the the spiritual world by increasing your personal vibrations to match the world around you.  Like attracts like.  You may see that certain things happen around you when you're high or whatever.  It is also according to your desire for whatever to happen. 
Now, in the war in Iraq and places around there, there is an element of supposed power caused by the ingestion of a certain plant; the poppy.

In my opinion, nobody has covered what it is that this double is made of.  Oh, they all say 'It is something tangible; you can see it; it exists.'  Talk from the experience.  Yes, it is something that exists, but it exists in its own time.  Like the sun that casts a shadow, the light has to be somewhere near and you cannot be that light.  Our light comes from the solar disk you call the sun, but to an etheric body, the sun is not bright.  Yes, I've communicated with the etheric world before, but I don't know that it is the same as the astral. 

Well I mean more in terms of the development of the frontal lobe which is responsible for higher abilities such as problem solving. I'm a Psychology student at uni and I haven't yet heard anything about the pituitary gland shriking. Niether for the milk, the theory sounds plausible but I haven't heard anything on that either. Where did you read it?

I was talking more about mental development. I'd say telepathy is around the corner as well. The future to me isn't just clearer t.v pictures and more space on you iPod. It's teeming with new mental abilities on a collective scale.

Mental development.  What causes you to be able to shut your eyes and see your thoughts?  I can do that when I'm sleeping.  What cause you to be able to 'see' your thoughts, travel inside the thoughts, even go to places that you remember?  Make you think you are APing?  Where is this thing that APs and has an OBE?  What contacts it?  This is not University subject study I don't think.  What causes animals to recognize their own kind?  What causes couples to be drawn together? 

I think it is the pineal gland.  And I think the pineal gland was a lot bigger back when we ate no meat.  And it's probably getting smaller because of eating the meat.

Nature has a number and it is called by somebody 'The Fibonacci Sequence.'   Everything in nature, as far as blooms of trees, seed pods, etc. has this number.

As for what is next, we could speculate using something like the Fibonacci Sequence since the mind of man is part of nature.
See, Nature has a way of protecting itself by inner development and Nature has a way of eliminating the causes of things that are out of sequence.  Are the planets and suns part of Nature?  I think they are just as much as this earth is natural; there's just more of certain natural things like oxygen and carbon here and if you think we are from the stars thats more of a reason to believe that the outer planets and suns are part of Nature.  Yes Sharpe, man did make up the symbols to represent numbers, but nature made the sequence. 

If we used something like the Fibonacci sequence to determine what's next, we would have to segregate the developments of the mind into the sequence and look at the potentials for reproduction.  But we would have to skew the results to include all of the inventions of man as far as the hormones, the sex drugs, the medications, etc.  All of this is dumbing us down.  It is more of a retarding element.  And yes, there are organs that are shrinking like the appendix and there are organs that will disappear in thousands of years or so like the gall bladder. 

I think the pineal gland, the 'third-eye,' is disappearing and Nature is trying to save it by generating more interest in psychic development.  But psychic development goes hand in hand with body development because the psychic development is more geared to the energy body and the nervous system makes this energy body.   

I am not a judge and I know that MS writings are original, Neal Walsch does not know the people in this thread unless MS is Neal.  But, you have to know copyright laws.  A publishing company that is going broke and needing money can have employees that just scan books and the internet looking for any way to get that money and copyright laws are big business and they can bring millions of dollars in legal fees and such.  I have found two things so far that could be considered copies.  See, it's not hard to do if you talk to God.  Now, MS it does not matter that you didn't know Neal or never heard of him.  It makes no difference whatsoever.  You notice how popular this thread got after you started doing that.  There are questions even in this thread having to do with the stealing of energy.  Copyright laws are based on the Word of God.  God will not share his glory with anyone.  When God gives glory to somebody, he will not give the same glory to somebody else.  See, MS is not discussing Neal's books so he cannot use the intellect that was established by Neal and use it until 70 years after Neal Walsch is dead; that's the law. 

I guess I got off on that kick because I like Neal Walsch and his ideas.  And I noticed people were saying that MS was not really channeling God; well, he's not.  He's channeling Neal.

It is a medical condition called 'tinnitus.'  That's one down to earth explanation.  But, if you want to get technical with it, it is a deficiency in a certain mineral of the body that causes swelling in the minute area that registers sound waves causing the sensory area to contact other surfaces close to it.  Like squashing a cat in a door.

Discovering what the body can do is not a cult.  A cult is built around fantasy.  Making people believe that the body can do things that it can't is fantasy.  Everybody cannot do AP or even have internal sight because it takes years of practice, but after the practice it can definitely be done.
