Are you sure it grabbed a new IP address?
Yes.
3  Bug Reports and Questions / Forums Bugs Reports and Questions / Re: Banned on: August 01, 2014, 03:59:10
You probably connect to the internet using a Dynamic IP address.  You can try to either get your current IP address removed from our ban list... OR, find out how to reset your connection to force a new IP address to be assigned to you.

I've already done that.
I changed my IP by resetting the router and that didn't change anything either.

I uninstalled a browser and reinstalled it and now I can go on the forums. That only works for one browser but that's ok.

Stop using VPNs and just fix your main IP address.
I can disconnect from it when I go on the forums, though I may forget to one day. What do you mean by fix your main IP address?

Every time I go on the forums it tells me: 'you are banned from using this forum!' with 'spam' below it. This happens with every browser I have apart from IE, but that keeps giving me some other error and I hate using it. I've found out that this only happens to the browsers which I go on the forums with while I'm connected to a VPN. I've recently downloaded another browser and I could go on the forums, but after I connected to a VPN I got banned. disconnecting from it didn't change anything. A few minutes ago I changed my IP by resetting the router and that didn't change anything either.

You sound like someone who could find it hard to fall asleep after a certain time, a lot like me. I never try any wake-back-to-bed methods because I get really grumpy when my sleep is interrupted.

Tattwa cards are square cards with coloured shapes on them. You put the cards under a lamp, and after staring at it you see a coloured rim around the card which starts to glow. Then you look at a white background/piece of paper, and you'll see the coloured shape, such as a red triangle. Then you close your eyes and you see the image in your mind. With some practice you can enlarge the shape in your mind and use it as a doorway to the astral plane. Because you had some trouble concentrating, I thought maybe these cards could help.

Sound good, but I don't really have a lamp I could use for that. I'll probably just use the arm falling method and a mantra at the same time while falling asleep. And visualizing anything during day.

Mantras keep me awake, I used to go to bed at about midnight and then I would still be saying them at 5am. No hypnogogic state or anything..

What are Tattwa cards?
9  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Can't concentrate while visualizing on: June 01, 2014, 21:30:18

I used to have the exact same problems as you. I'd either fall asleep and crash out instantly, or lie there for hours in the afternoon with nothing happening.

If you can't stay awake, try holding your forearm up in the air. When you feel it fall, gently lift it back up again. This allowed me to prolong the hypnogogic state for much longer. I also noticed after about 3 days of doing this the hypnogigic images became extremely vivid and ethereal.

Now though what I've been doing lately is programming myself to remain still after waking up from a dream. I wake up about 6 times in the night, and instantly attempt to AP every time. It's easier for me at this time because my body is extremely relaxed. If I haven't succeeded within 2 minutes I usually know I've missed my opportunity and wait for the next time. I started trying this method again after reading Monroe's book where he says it's best to reach condition D immediately after waking up from a nap or night's sleep and not moving physically at all.

How long do you hold the arm up? A few times when I've done this I noticed my arm falling and I stopped it but I didn't enter any hypnogogic state, and usually I just can't fall asleep with it up so I put it down.

Did you wake up 6 times a night before you programmed yourself or is the reason you wake up 6 times a night because you programmed yourself to? How do you program yourself, just affirmations?

I've been skiing a lot and I usually just lose focus after a few minutes but when I start skiing and 20 seconds later do some other random things I can concentrate for a long time, but after maybe 20 minutes I just get bored because nothing's happening. When do I actually AP? I feel like I can keep visualizing for hours and nothing's going to happen.

Also, does it matter if I hear music/thoughts in my mind while visualizing?
11  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Can't concentrate while visualizing on: May 26, 2014, 23:27:41
visualization should be done WHILE you are falling asleep if you intend to AP, because the prelude between physical senses shut down and conscious awareness is critical for a successful AP.

When I try to stay awake while falling asleep I fall asleep in seconds, if I'd visualize then I would fall asleep even faster!
12  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Can't concentrate while visualizing on: May 26, 2014, 22:54:08
When I try to AP I usually visualize that I'm in my house, I walk, touch things, smell things, look at things, listen to things... After about 10 minutes of doing that i just can't concentrate anymore and I just start visualizing other things and completely forget what I was doing. I know meditation should help but what meditation would be best for this kind of technique? If I visualize a ball spinning then I'll just quickly lose focus and that will turn into something else.
13  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 30, 2014, 20:10:14
You are wayyyyyyyyyyyyy over thinking this my friend!

Your goal is to create a good NP (non physical) focus. I can see exactly what you are doing now. You are creating that focus, but then looking back for symptoms of a shift, which in turn puts your focus right back in the physical again. This will be a "revolving door" scenario until you learn to just "trust" and let go.

You don't have to look for "signposts". They will show up, don't worry about that. But when you get a "signpost", you need to passively observe it with an air of curiosity. I can see that you are getting excited by every little "speed bump" in the road.

These are simply tests to see if you are ready or not. RELAX, RELEASE and LET GO!  wink

What exactly do you mean by a non physical focus? Would simply remembering some music/sounds I heard or visualising a ball create a NP focus? And could I phase by just doing that? I've done that before but never had any success, even when not thinking about my body or anything physical. And how long should it take? I don't know when to give up.
14  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 30, 2014, 18:38:49
You can also take an 'imaginary' walk, in a place you've been before, and as you 'walk' the path, you see things that are there- trees, or benches, or rivers, or whatever you want to see.  Add things that are not there in real life, and keep 'moving'.  That's one of  my favorite methods.

How long do you think it should take for a beginner to phase using this technique? Does it matter if I open my eyes or move a bit every few minutes? And does it matter if I forget what I'm doing for a few minutes and then continue to walk?
15  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 24, 2014, 23:19:13
I tried various methods to stay in focus this afternoon. I was sat in my car at a supermarket with.a fairground 100 feet away. I parked near the entrance too. The noise was.quite high.
Next I tried to go into trance. The best method was to make a simple mantra, it actually worked, in 3 mins I was snoring and generating a scene to enter into.
Trying to ignore the noise failed miserably, by doing something (the mantra), the concentration on the noise was removed and though they were still heard they went into the background. That's all it took. Just enough to remove the awareness of distractions did it. They ended up similar to that wind sound you hear before an exit.
Finding that ' just enough' that works for you personally is all it takes. Experiment a little, see how you go.

I tried this today for 47 minutes, I completely forgot about all the distractions and I wasn't thinking too much but nothing happened. How do you begin to generate a scene?
16  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 23, 2014, 18:06:35
Anything that helps you to stay on track is worthwhile. The amount of distractions during meditation are quite high compared to waking life. The amount of distractions that you may encounter while on a mission in the astral dwarf these.
That's the reason why meditation is so helpful. You start off witnessing and responding to distractions initially, then you begin to develop a mindset where your INTENT increases and these distractions have far less of an effect. It's keeping this intent active, then you will stay on track far longer and get deeper into trance. Eventually you can ignore almost all the distractions and that puts you in the ballpark for concious OBE's at will.
Keep your mind FOCUSED on the task at hand and you'll succeed. All your distractions start to fade into less importance, eventually they'll dissapear.
Nothing can stand in your way.
It may take a while to master but the benefits outweigh anything. You end up naturally thinking before you react.
This helps in the art immensely, it also changes your mindset into one that will give you a wider range of experiences in the NP. You'll not be stuck in the RTZ for decades.

Would any kind of meditation help with this technique? Also how long should it take to phase using this technique? Today I did it for about 3 hours, losing focus after about 15 seconds after seeing the flash, then after about a minute repeating. For some reason this technique is extremely difficult for me.
17  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 09, 2014, 21:10:34
Waiting for the thunder after the flash of lightning, you may count the seconds, you may simply wait. This occupied mind of yours during this act is totally passive if you don't count. It's also totally receptive.  It waits in expectancy for the noise of the thunder.
Imagine the flash for an instant. Now wait with the same mindset for the thunder.
Be receptive, listen for anything else too. You'll hear the wind, perhaps some muffled talking. You may hear someone shouting at you, it could be your own voice you hear. Even the thunder itself can manifest.
Do this as an exercise and forget you're in a body completely. No SP no vibes, nothing but your self awareness.
If you start drifting away from the expected thunder, create another flash, this time brighter, really imagine seeing it. Wait again.
Play with your awareness this way and be prepared for an exit to occur without you conciously doing anything.

I've been trying this but after I see the flash I can't control my thoughts, I hear annoying music,  ads etc.  I try to control them but I can't for long enough and then it takes about 10 seconds to remember what I was doing (because my eyes are closed). Does it matter if I count or not?
18  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 05, 2014, 18:26:46
Think of the taste of many different cakes.
ANYTHING that's not your body is a good start.
SP is a myth, it's not something you need, your body sets it up automatically. YOU do nothing.
There's so much out there that's so confusing. The whole process is natural.
Relax and stay aware. The rest will do itself.

So if I would lay in bed relaxed and would stay awake I would phase? Wouldn't I need to focus on anything or visualise? How would I stay awake?
19  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 04, 2014, 20:33:18
Why are you trying to get SP?

Phasing is too hard or just doesn't work for me. If I get sp then I should be able to leave easily.
20  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 04, 2014, 20:20:01
You've got a problem brewing here...

You're focusing entirely too much on sleep paralysis.  You're doing it so much you're going to sabotage your efforts.

Why is it bad to focus on sp? I'm not trying to phase,  all I need to do is relax and pretend that I've fallen asleep isn't it?
21  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 04, 2014, 15:47:08
Do whatever comes natural. You do that every night when you go to sleep. So, why make a problem of it now?

Because my body probably expects my tongue to fall when I've fallen asleep and if my tongue never falls I may have to wait longer to get SP or I may not get it at all. My body might know that only when I've fallen asleep does my tongue fall and if my tongue falls it may be easier to induce sleep paralysis.
22  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 03, 2014, 16:14:56
But no one's ever said anything about the falling of the base of the tongue being good for getting sleep paralysis so I can't be sure if it even does anything, it could even be bad for it, it makes it hard to breathe and it's very inconvenient to do. Has anyone else tried this?
23  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 02, 2014, 18:28:42
If you're finding that when your body relaxes while lying on your back that you snore... don't lie on your back.
Try lying on your side instead.  No snoring.  Smiley

If I let the base of my tongue fall while I'm standing then I still snore. No matter what position I'm in I'll snore and it'll be hard to breathe if I let my tongue's base fall, but that's probably what happens when we sleep so if I'm trying to make my body sleep then that's probably what I should do isn't it?
24  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / What do you do with your tongue and jaw? on: March 02, 2014, 17:22:54
When you are trying to get sleep paralysis what do you do with your tongue and jaw? I've noticed that when I let the base of my tongue fall I snore, and people only snore when they sleep, so maybe it's easier to make your body fall asleep if you let your tongue fall. Also it would make sense if your jaw would fall when you sleep, but I've never heard of anyone saying you should let your jaw fall when you're aiming for SP. So what do you do with them?
