Normal dreams could potentially have F3 overlays, yet no way of really knowing it.

exactly.

you see a shared dream would be a F2/F3 overlay IMO. Same with REAL dream characters IE ones that are not a creation of your mind (if there are any? some people believe there are however... im in the proccess of seeing for myself)

When we dream being in Focus 2 we have our own little world to ourselves but some people seem to project from inside lucid dreams thus shifting to Focus 3 although this isnt exactly the most reliable technique due to the fact that how would one tell what Focus level one is actually in anyway? Objectivity being the key I guess... a validation or something.

Lucid Dream = Focus 2 (private reality)

Astral Projection = Focus 3 (public reality)
3  Dreams / Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Unusual dream : My first Lucid Dream ? on: January 21, 2008, 01:00:46
I used to believe dreams took place in the astral. I dont think so anymore although all consciousness is connected I think shared dreams are possible. Some people dream in black and white and some people dream in colour... why that is? anyones guess. its fairly illogical that only colour dreams would take place in the astral seeing as you're brain is fully capable of creating its own colour images and not just black and white ones.

Some of my DC's can be fairly 2D... some do nothing and say nothing, they're simply there. Others are people that I know to be real people but they're just there in my dreams, often a faithful representation if I know them well enough but still not the real thing. I do have DC's that are also 3D characters like real people in every day situations. Im very keen to experiment in my next lucid dream.

Awesome, your first lucid dream! I had one this morning... sooooo much fun.

Dream control can be difficult at times and the more lucidity you have the more control you can muster. The first thing I do when I become lucid is fly... it has to be my all time favourite thing to do, ever. I had a lucid task I wanted to complete which was freezing time but I failed at it. No biggie, i'll just have to do it next time.

Looking around and interacting with your environment in a lucid dream is one of the beauty's of being lucid Smiley Infact when lucid dreaming all the areas of your brain are actually MORE active than in waking consciousness except for your frontal lobes of course but the more you can convince yourself you're dreaming, the more active they become.

A few things you can do to maintain and increase lucidity areee...
Look at your hands, they will start to melt and you'll know you're dreaming
Spin around really fast, a new environment usually weaves itself (my next lucid task)
say things like increase lucidity now! (never worked in my experience)
Hold your nose and try breathing, if you can breathe then you're dreaming.

As far as DC's (dream characters) go... people report I wide range of characteristics from being flat or 2D in personality to being a slightly more indepth character but still not a complete or convincing person to being a full blown character with a personality. In my experience yes these are creations of our mind (because I have "played god" and controlled a DC before haha fun stuff) although I believe its highly possible that maybe the more indepth characters are real but that im only speculating and im going to do my own research into the world of DC's.

Auto-suggestion can work to a certain extent but for even better results the MILD technique (mnemonic induction of lucid dreams) is supposed to work extremely well (if you stick with it!)

I had a few lucid dreams last year and they've got me really into the whole subject... i've started full time to cultivate my ability to lucid dream and im aiming at one lucid dream a night. I had my first lucid dream for 2008 last night (although it was insanely brief I still became lucid so thats encouraging) and the best thing to do is use about 3 - 4 techniques... firstly keep a dream journal and identify your dreamsigns from it once you have enough dreams recorded you need to recall at least one dream a night before you should really even pursuing lucid dreaming... once you've got that down and you know your dreamsigns do reality checks as often as you can (get a cheap digital watch that beeps every hour and do a RC whenver it beeps)... as a complimentary technique you can also use autosuggestion... I use two autosuggestions and just repeat them to myself whenever I remember ("Fortunately I become lucid as soon as I see any of my dream signs" and "day by day the frequency of my lucid dreams is increasing")... i've worded my suggestions with some handy presuppositions so (hopefully!) they will bypass the critical factor and the real message im trying to get through will sink straight into my subconscious. You'll also want to use the MILD technique... any time you awake in the middle of the night from a dream (or do it before going to bed AND also whenever you awake from a dream) run through the dream in your mind, see the sights of the dream, think the thoughts of the dream and say to yourself "the next time I am dreaming I will remember to recognize that I am dreaming"... also notice your dreamsigns  in the dream and picture yourself becoming lucid when you see them.. really feel the excitement of becoming lucid and just run through as many cycles of MILD as you can until you fall asleep... if you can fall asleep while doing this (like me) just do it until you feel like the message has gotten through!.

After a while if you keep up with these techniques the frequency of your lucid dreams will increase.

I agree with klaxen. I can see how it would be possible to interact with the physical whilst in the astral but it would involve partially phasing back to the physical while keeping your main focus in the astral. if that makes any sense. Same as if you phased partially away from the physical while you were in it you could probably pass through solid objects... so im thinking it would also work the other way around but be extremely difficult.

Its interesting. i'd say its definately not a coincidence... coincidence isnt real anyway a better word is synchronicity.

its easily possible that you've developed the ability because you believe your father has it.

i'd suggest you read that article for a number of reasons.

its a must read. IMHO it also supports the feasibility of biokinesis.
10  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Does anyone use binaural beats as an aid? on: January 06, 2008, 11:01:35
I used iDoser extensively for a period of a few months, I wouldnt say I was addicted... nor that at any point did I ever become addicted. I was experimenting with binaural beats with some very interesting results. No long term side effects however I did develop a short term side effect... constantly seeing red. Not cool but that subsided.. it has a name but i cant remember
11  Metaphysics / Welcome to Metaphysics! / Re: Things you have moved (telekensis) on: January 05, 2008, 00:30:49
i was sleeping and i woke up levitating about 1 foot over my bed no it wasnot an obe because i cracked my bedfram when i fell on my face lol and it hurt

Wow! Now THIS really interests me (if its true, which i'll give you the benefit of the doubt because I believe its entirely possible). I am POSITIVE flying through belief and walking on water are possible (same as TK but i've never looked into it) and your anecdote confirms it... very interesting indeed.

Heres what I believe about TK...

A: its all in the mind
B: your SUBCONCIOUS beliefs win every time
C: size or weight have no bearing on being able to move something, only on your belief about being able to move them.
D: TK is very real.

Its my opinion that people have little or no success with TK simply because their SUBCONCIOUS beliefs always get in the way and those that do have some success through the concious mind believe with conviction or have been focusing a lot of attention on it for a long time thus beggining to alter their beliefs at a subconcious level.

I firmly believe working directly with your subconcious mind to reprogram your beliefs could yield amazing results. A possible future project for me I think.
12  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: "I Am Legend" is the BEST movie i have seen in theaters for years! on: January 04, 2008, 23:57:24
I loved it. Thought it was intense. Keen to read the book. What interests me the most about the movie is the parallel it has to real life... Ie we've all been turned into zombies because of our "quick fix" mentality.
13  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Does anyone use binaural beats as an aid? on: January 03, 2008, 00:53:32
iDoser's alright... if you're worried about them trying to hijack your brain use BWgen in which you can design your own presets.
14  Metaphysics / Welcome to Metaphysics! / Re: walking on water, etc. on: December 31, 2007, 01:56:15
awesome! I guess you could try affirmations and visualisations intensively as an aide? Also working with your subconcious by doing the same whilst drifting off to sleep could be very powerful...

I have a question for you in regards to your attempts... In comparison to just putting your leg in the water normally, how much difference is there between trying to WALK on the water? like is it significantly different? Im very interested in this... I may even begin my own attempts.
15  Metaphysics / Welcome to Metaphysics! / Re: walking on water, etc. on: December 30, 2007, 04:28:47
Im sorry, its either A. I need to go to sleep which is definitely possible considering the time it is for me right now cheesy or B. Your word choice is clear enough for me to understand what you are specifically responding to in quoting me. But, taking a guess at what you said I agree with what your saying in that our subconscious beliefs are in fact a hardwired part of human nature, but when I mention energy work I think your thinking of it as something purely physical and not mental (correct me if I am wrong) but in fact includes both. If you want the best results in the long run for control and fluidity of your flow of energy you need control of the mind. Again though I have been awake for 22 hours now so I might have to come back and edit this later..

My appologies if it sounds like I was having a go at you. You're certainly right, the point I was making is that energy work is only complimentary to the process. Although it would be very beneficial in terms of concentration. Stookie's point is also a very interesting one that I was thinking of earlier... Say you could walk on water through belief (when you were alone) but when someone else who didnt beleive it was possible was present you couldnt do it because of their belief. All very interesting stuff. Also could you over ride the universal mind?? I hadnt thought of that one before but I believe YES you could. The Vedas (or so i've heard) mentions being able to fly through belief... hence why I believe the universal mind isnt too much of a problem.

Question...

Is anyone game enough to try and TRY this stuff? haha. we always seem to think about it but giving it a go is another story aye?
