1  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Your most interesting time difference experience? on: May 30, 2012, 16:35:41
this is a very difficult question as there are so many things which come into play

**how good your shadow memory is (how much you remember when you return) (eg: you can have a trip that lasts 1 hour but then return and only remember the last 10 minutes of it, which I assume often happens). When I did sets of 5 trips in a row without a break, the trips were quite long but then I only remembered snippets from the 1-3 trips, and lots of detail from 4 and 5th trip for example. So you end up doing a lot in a trip but then don't remember a lot of it thinking that it was a short trip. Its like this with normal dreams as well (meditate as soon as you wake up and suddenly you will notice all kinds of 'memories' popping up from dreams you didn't even know you had last night, its quite a wierd process, you suddenly remember a new dream, new scene, new conversation etc).

**which environment you end up with (environment which resembles physical is quite easy to judge time simply by how much things happen to you or how much you say (especially if you speak 'physically' there in words and sentences); environment which is nothing like physical (completely dark environments, etc) then can't judge time at all especially if you download knowledge telephatically in chunks)

NoY have you done it yourself (in the astral), what was your experience?

3  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: 2 bodies on: May 30, 2012, 00:54:33
Yep! I asked my meditation teacher he said to start doing routines that I do in the physical but now do them in the astral as well (eg focusing on different chakras meditations etc) he said that's the whole point of chakra meditations (they are designed to be done in astral as well as in physical)

I guess i'l post here what happens next time I try it there

Smiley I'm glad the post is serving its purpose, kyle congrats on ur first trip by the way (don't worry first few are often very confusing), heck I still don't have a clue what goes on in half of my trips - we need guides by our side!
5  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Lack of Motivation on: May 29, 2012, 21:31:38
Motivation is energy (physical and mental),
These things drain energy in a person more than anything else:
- sex (any kid of sexual activity, the more the less energy is left, for men this is often an issue)
- sleeping (too much or too little)
- food (what u eat and how much)
- drugs, alcohol etc
- anger
-  judgement of another person
- negative thoughts
- etc

So it all depends on ur lifestyle, u may simply not have enough energy left for obe routines if ur lifestyle already sucks most of it out of you.

Start changing ur lifestyle bit by bit, day by day, and u will start having more energy, u can then use that extra energy to do obe routines. Motivation will then be easy, not hard Smiley

9  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: 3rd eye open on: May 29, 2012, 18:39:37
Alright,

Just type into YouTube "Ananda Mandala"
It's a 30 minute breathing routine
Sit down, relax, close eyes, listen to instructions and then start breathing as woman explains

Post here what if anything u will experience

I usually do this routine before sleep and then spontaneously obe or phase in morning when I wake up (routine increases energy flow in you)

This is an advanced technique so if u start sensing energy feel free to slow down, stop or breathe gentler to decrease energy flow if u so wish, or keep going to experience higher state of energy
10  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: 3rd eye open on: May 29, 2012, 18:06:33
Trataka definitely increases ability to see those little sparks,
I did it in park today and looked at the clear blue sky and the sparks were everywhere I just sat there watching them (I don't know what they are but they seem to move in random directions)

I think anyone can see them if they simply stare at the sky and just relax their eyes and keep looking not blinking

The sky is easier to see them but you can see them if u look at anything else too it's just harder if background is multicoloured and textured

AnonyMouse u seem to be quite sensitive to energy (half way there) do u do any daily routines or anything like lots of meditation, pranayama or anything at all except phasing? (pm me I will give you a breathing routine from youtube try it out I think it could send ur energy thru the roof u might start seeing things with your eyes closed or phase at the end of it, or nothing at all will happen u never know)

To be honest I have no idea what is going on with this nor indeed what the intent was we were just messing about there, nor indeed do I know how to do an inner projection, Im trying to get into habit of having my guide right next to me now so he can explain to me exactly what is going on whenever I trip

12  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / 2 bodies on: May 29, 2012, 11:29:19
We were talking a bit about a split body effect in astral, I had a trip last night that brought it up

Was in a building with 5 others in astral and we decided to see if we can obe, we separated from those bodies and went exploring with the second body (however everything was completely different, very dark environment, I could not see my companion and had to hold their hand, I could not manipulate environment at all (I tried to make an energy ball of different colours but all I managed to make was a vibrating energy ball, I then passed it around and it remained stable)

Then we "returned" into our first astral bodies, environment was full of colour and normal now, another person joined us and I explained to her what we just did and asked her if she wanted to do it with us again

Very strange experience

14  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Astral Sex on: May 28, 2012, 16:35:17
It all depends on how cleared up your energy channels already, if they are clogged up (eg you eat meat, watch violent films all the time, etc) you won't notice what really happens to you in the physical after u have astral sex and so u may think that nothing happens except u have fun

However if u had cleaned up your energy channels even a little bit, you become very sensitive to even the smallest energy changes within you and outside of you- then you begin to notice exactly what astral sex does to you on a physical level (ie it is as if someone hits you with a shovel across your head, that's how noticeable the effects become)

Rob Monroe said to progress he had to stop having astral sex and his guides helped him by putting him into lower layers where people were dead yet trying to have sex with each other, he said when he saw what was going on all he needed next time to overcome the lust urges was simply to remember that "pile of worms" twisting dead pile of humans trying to f each other

Smiley practice is the key

Understand that it's not just 'you' who wants you to obe, but there is a crew out there in non physical who are helping you in different ways as well (your guide etc), so never give up, or u give up on them
16  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: I'm gonna use binural beats 4 the first time! on: May 28, 2012, 04:04:13
Lol, "research"? Lol

I got seduced a few days ago and started having astral sex on one of my trips, with different "women", some of them were projections and I had to "mould" them like clay and make them more real and re-shape body parts.

But this meant I failed my test (I was not supposed to give in)

Post here how it will go, and say if you  have sex with an independent energy or a simple mental projection

17  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: 3rd eye open on: May 27, 2012, 22:49:03
there's a type of meditation called trataka (google it), its when you stare at a simple object (anything at all, I use my laptop screen and a basic shape (like a black circle on a white background) and you don't close your eyes at all, stare for as long as possible and the key is not to blink (resist blinking at all cost) and not move your eyes even an inch

then when you had enough of staring you simply close your eyes and keep them closed

an after image forms in the darkness before your eyes and then you keep staring at the afterimage with your eyes still closed

this develops a number of things:
+ improves physical eyesight (i have heard people healing their eyes completely doing this exercise)
+ develops ability to see energy (the white sparks/balls of energy moving in random directions, much brighter sparks/leaks of energy, auric sight)
+ helps to phase out into astral
+ helps you when you end up in the astral with keeping scenery stable, changing it, manipulating it

Yogis in tibet used this method by staring at a star in the sky for long periods of time to develop all kinds of abilities which helped them to connect with 'god' (energy).
------
pm me if you are interested in this type of meditation as I do it daily
18  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Newbies - Here are 4 Methods of Entry into Astral (ordered by difficulty) on: May 27, 2012, 22:35:59
That is perfectly correct BlueHalcyon as far as the stuff I read.

So don't worry if you move a little bit, but ideally you want to get into the practice of not moving at all. This is not hard, as soon as you wake up immediately tell yourself 'dont move!!!' and try your hardest not to move, just lying there and imagining your body is a hard rock.

I used to sleep on very narrow raised pillows for a while to teach myself not to move for the indirect method (as soon as I would move my arms would drop off the pillows and wake me up) but this is kind of a stupid method, don't do it, it didn't teach me anything except that I couldn't sleep.

The only way to really learn I think are 2 ways 1) is via intention, and 2) is what some occultists use to train the mind to do different things - a mild electric shock (I know this sounds crazy, but it works 'magic'). Like the ones you have in 'toy electric prank pens' (you can buy it in any toy shop). To have the toy pen next to your bed within arms reach, if you notice you moved, you pick it up and press it and a slight electric (but unpleasant) shock is delivered to the nervous system via the pen. The nervous system then learns super fast not to move (the mind does not like getting electricuted lol). With this method you can train the mind and the body to do things even when you are not conscious, as the nervous system becomes programmed. Its pretty crazy.

But ideally you want to start working directly with intention and not waste your time with temporary tools such as shocks, shock pens are usless outside of mind training scenarios (the skill of intention however is uselfull all the time in any situation, that is the most useful skill to develop).

Hey Nickle,

Nice trip!! The best trips I had was the ones where I could 'feel' the scenery just like you are explaining, like wind or water (one of my favourite ones was flying just above water in London in winter, and it was very cold, I would dive in and feel the coldness of the water against my 'skin', then dive back out and fly just above it -- it was so awesome, like a human dolphin)

I'm sorry you didn't have many results after 1 year, but then again you did select the hardcore method. Pick an easier method Smiley
20  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: I'm the new guy with a question on: May 27, 2012, 17:23:49
I know exactly what you mean about LD'ing,

The trick with LD'ing and indeed phasing and obe-ing, I believe is this:
You train hardcore for 2 days, and then do nothing at all for 2-3 days, then train again hardcore for 2 days, then again do not do a single rc for 2-3 days.

By 'hardcore' you can do what I do, which is record dreams and do about 200-300 reality checks a day. The way I do reality checks is in sets of 10-15 (eg: if I'm in the bathroom washing my hands I do 10-15 reality checks in one go.

The easiest way to do this is imagine the whole environment around you is made of jelly, so try to put your hands through every single solid thing (eg: wall, your own hand, your leg, your stomach, mirror, a pipe on the wall, everything) and try to grab and squeeze every single solid thing as if you are squeezing jelly. This way you can do many RC's in a day. Just on the walk to the bathroom I do around 10 by simply trying to grab and squeeze everything on the way - door, cupboard, wall, tv, chair (imagine everything is jelly). Then in the dream environment you will end up putting your hand thru something solid and go lucid.

Then take a break and don't do anything at all for 3 days.

The point is that when you train for the ld (eg: reality checks, affirmations) and indeed any other kind of mental training,  you spend quite a lot of energy (lets call this energy of the 'astral body'), so when you go to sleep there is not that much energy left to go conscious or indeed to exit via an obe/phasing method. This is even worse if you feel any kind of disappointment in your efforts (the disappointment drains emotional energy which is even worse, as its all connected back to the astral 'body')

Then you find most of your trips happen during such 'breaks' rather than during the actual days when you train. Its strange but thats how it works for me.
21  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Newbies - Here are 4 Methods of Entry into Astral (ordered by difficulty) on: May 27, 2012, 17:14:04
hey twiligher,

during the 40 seconds everything depends on your intention:
if you intend to separate from the physical body in the traditional sense (i.e. typical obe) then you can try any 'physical' routine you know (eg: roll out, jump up, slide thru the head, sit up (I used to 'sit up' very suddenly (i.e. imagined sitting up) and this would cause a separation). The key here is the nature of intention - which is you are intending to end up next to your physical body.

If you want to enter straight into some environment then you can simply lie there and focus on 'noticing' (its exactly the same then as Frank's method, except you are already 90% there with the body asleep and mind super relaxed, simply notice what is going on, noises, sounds, lights, whatever pops up and focus on them as they arise - they get louder and the environment forms)
22  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Newbies - Here are 4 Methods of Entry into Astral (ordered by difficulty) on: May 27, 2012, 10:51:44
I noticed newbies are picking the hardest way to enter into astral and are facing huge amount of difficulties, thus this post to help.

There are 4 types of entries into the astral (non physical) reality, and they differ by difficulty.

These differ hugely in terms of how difficult they are and how many months it takes to be able to enter (based on astral research institutes statistics (I'm basing things on a russian institute that does statistics on newbies trying to enter astral for first time).

In terms of difficulty (with highest starting the first) the 4 methods of entry are:

1. OBE Meditation ('obe-ing', closing eyes trying to 'exit' the physical body, you end up next to your body in the physical environment then from there you go wherever you want. This is most difficult, usually takes many months of hardcore daily practice and even then you may end up nowhere as a lot of things affect the success of this method. Plus when you do enter you are faced with all kinds of difficulties from difficulty in sight, to difficulties in movement (due to physical body's magnetism). some of the most advanced astral adventurers don't even bother with this method as its considered not efficient.

2. Phase Meditation ('phasing', close eyes and shift focus away from the physical into the non-physical until a natural separation occurs and you end up in 3D environment in the non-physical. This is just as difficult as the OBE Meditation and takes multiple months of training to be able to get anywhere (even with the magical hemi-sync tapes). However here you don't have the problem of difficult sight/movement as the physical body's magnetism does not apply as much, as you are not 'next' to it so much.

3. Lucid Dreaming ('LD'ing', you simply become aware within a dream that you are dreaming and then go exploring the dream (astral) reality. This is much easier than above methods, people often have the first lucid dream simply after reading some stuff about lucid dreaming (the very next night!), then they can have multiple lucid dreams per night. Unlike above methods, this method can be developed and used within about 1 week or so, but definintely not months if the person seriously wants to LD and does what needs to be done (eg: keeping dream journal, etc).

4. Indirect phasing method (This is when as soon as you wake up you don't move an inch, don't open your eyes, and you have about 40 seconds within which the body is completely relaxed and the mind is not quite in physical yet. This state is also known as body asleep/mind awake state (F10). While in the OBE/Phase meditation it may take you 30 minutes to get into this state and even then it may not be as deep as this, if you simply wake up and don't move or open your eyes you are immeidately in a very deep F10 state + your awareness is not fully in physical yet either, its half here and half 'there'.

During those 40 seconds you can phase out by simply intending to phase out or by imagining an environment, or anything as such. The key here is not to move at all (this may take a bit of practice as usually people move automatically when they wake up).

This method is considered by researchers the fastest way to enter astral for newbies. No wonder, you are already in F10 and half in astral with your awareness.

I think the russian institute statistics was like 80+% of newbies who tried this method entered astral within 3 days of trying (they tried at least 3 times I think per morning)) (Its a couple of thousand newbies they evaluated during their training programs if I am not mistaken).

(pm me if you need an indirect entry manual, its free from the russian researchers and its in english).

With the indirect method you basically have all the work cut out for you, you simply need to intend and off you go. You can go into the RTZ (i.e. next to your physical body, like an 'obe') or you can go directly into the astral environments.

----------

Most newbies are trying to enter via the hardest method for some reason - the OBE or Phase Meditations. This is great but be prepared it may easily take up to many months or more for you to actually be able to do anything via this method and many years (yes years!) before you can use this method to enter at will! By this time most people simply give up and think that none of this is stuff is real or possible, or that they are somehow not 'special' enough to be able to enter.

The problem is they do not understand what method they have picked, direct entry method is a seriously hardcore method, meditators can only use it after a couple of years of various meditations. I am part of a meditative school and in my school this method is taught after like 4 years of meditating, this is how hardcore the OBE/Phase method really is. No wonder people fail with it all the time.

Unless you have spent previous lives meditating day and night (eg: like Rob Monroe did in his previous life when he was a monk) you may not trip for many months with this method.

---------

It might be more beneficial to spread your efforts between hard and easy methods, or as researchers typically suggest to focus all your efforts on the easiest methods first (indirect and lucid dreaming) enter via those quickly and start to experience astral and understand what is what, and only later think about developing the harder methods (obe/phase meditations).

Plus if you become quite adept at lucid dreaming and indirect entry you are basically doing a phasing meditation, in the morning you wake up and within a couple of minutes you consciously phase into the astral. You get kicked out of astral, then you are back in the body, then you simply phase back out again within a minute or so. I once kept doing this over and over just to see how many times I can do it, I don't think there is a limit. I started having 5 trips in a row by simply re-entering as soon as I was back in the physical (enter - explore - kicked out, enter again - explore - kicked out, enter again and so on). And all I use to enter is lucid dreaming and indirect method - I can't enter via a phasing/obe method (at will).

So, make your life much easier and more enjoyable, pick an easier method of entry and start exploring the astral with that first, rather than try to go from the opposite end and experience nothing at all.
23  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: I'm the new guy with a question on: May 27, 2012, 10:15:05
Paul,

If you already lucid dream why don't you develop that instead, it will be much easier to develop than a 'direct' entry method such as a phasing meditation / obe attempt.

I use LD's mostly to enter.

Also if you develop LD's they will slowly leak into your other abilities, you will be able to 'phase' in the morning like a WILD (Wake induced lucid dreaming - you close your eyes and basically phase out right into the astral).

It sounds like you can already enter the building (astral) through one door (lucid dreaming), why are you trying to enter through a more difficult door now (phase meditation)?
24  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: The Games. on: May 26, 2012, 22:51:15
Szaxx, your mind seems to be fluctuating with many questions.

What exactly do you want from the astral experiences? (i.e. Why do you go 'there'?)

What is your 'goal' there?

If it is to have this test again and to pass it, then focus your questions on that. Go meet your guide and ask him about this test in detail, if you can re-take it, and see what he will say. Have you tried that? And if he says 'no' then ask him 'why' and at least you will know why, and so on.

That sounds like more productive way to deal with it, than to simply wonder behind the scenes what the 'designer' had in mind. There are simply too many possibilities of what was going on as I understand it.
