I am just beginning to read about dream yoga Lumaza. I dloaded “dream yoga” by Holicek. What is the best book on dream yoga you can recommend?  On another note, i recently had major dental work and have noticed my obes exponentially fade. Bummer. I hope it is only a lull vs. full time. Have you ever heard of dental work interfering with the np? Im convinced the np has an “inner ear” aspect to it so maybe the metals in tooth caps also help or hinder. Thanks man!

Ok here I go.  I am going to explain in word, the best I can, the process I go through while working on projecting.

So, with my schedule, I use mainly what people refer to as the “Indirect Method”.
I have started using the direct method but this is challenging LOL. Still a work in progress.

I know the “Indirect Method” is supposed to be a little bit harder of a way to go but for some reason I have always been drawn to it.

-I will go to bed about 30 to 45 minutes earlier.
-I take about 1 – 3 minutes to relax.
-At this point I will usually say a mantra a couple times.
-I will now start by counting (Backwards).
-Then try visualization. Or just looking into the blackness behind my eye lids.
- I will sit/lay and just keep my mind a quiet as possible and sit in silence. This is something I just started doing. I used to always be doing something in my mind but I find that as soon as I basically make it go silent, I get this feeling that my entire bode “tightens” ever so slightly, almost like a very small electric shock. Is this normal? If so, what should I do?
-Once I get the small electric sensation I mention in the point above. My mind will automatically start on a mantra or counting or having thoughts fly in/through it.
-Shortly after this I will start to get the sensation of movement hands, feet or head, or a combination. But have not had more than a partial exit. That I am aware of.

I feel it is important to note that in the last 4 – 6 weeks I am able to get a feeling of my hands legs or head moving. Fairly quick into the process, I would say on average 5 – 10 min.

So I am not sure what ells to say but I am sure there are key items I am missing.
Please ask question to get further information and I will answer.

I have been practicing this since October 2016 and I feel as I am missing a small piece of information to make the “light bulb” go off.

On a bright note I do feel more confident getting to where I am now in the process. To clarify this I mean that all the relaxing, counting, visuals, movement, noises (when I hear them). Basically I have gotten comfortable with the sensation I have been getting for the past 2 years.


My advice to you would be to continue your process but actually get as close to sleep as possible without falling asleep. Keep pulling yourself back from sleep before you cross the line and fall asleep. You will obviously eventually fall asleep but with the point being to get as close as possible and monitor for any electrical like sensations or noises. Do this especially upon waking. Upon waking immediately try to go back to sleep but remain consciois. You need to make these intents so you naturally do this every time you awake and/or go to sleep. Most nites nothing will happen. But the nites something does happen makes it all well worth it. Good luck!

I plan on using the tapes for the rest of my life because they say the more you use them the more frequent your OBE's will become.

BTW are you using Howell's AP tapes or her LD tapes?? (or both)??
I only listen to her AP tapes now, they seem to work better

I only downloaded the “astral listen with headphones” that has ocean waves and supposedly “theta” inducing binaural beats. My obes dont consist of me becoming lucid during a dream so i didnt get any other tapes besides the “astral” inducing tape. Im curious how often you listen and WHEN ie do you listen before you crash with headphones and fall asleep to the tapes? Or only in your car during the day? Do you listen EVERY day or.....? Three times a day? Please lemme know your precise regime. I listened one time and had one of the clearest obes yet. But again, im not ready to attribute that solely to the tape because my normal pattern is a one month lull then a bunch in a row for a few weeks then back to the lull. Yet it at least seems to be very promising. I laid it on to a friend who is having issues projecting so we ll see how that goes. Thanks man!

Ive been in a lull period for the past month so i figured id give Howells mp3 a try. I listened to the waves while visualising i was on a beach for two hours. Last night i had one of my most vivid obes ever. The vibrancy was incredible. Im not ready to 100% attribute it to Howells mp3 because my normal pattern is having a slow lull month then 2-3 events per week for a few weeks. But at the same time i am definitely gonna continue using and testing the tape. Thanks Fresco!

Last night / earlier this morning. I woke up stayed awake for 5 to 10 minutes. I then set the timer audio I made and used it for 2 and a half hours. The ramp timer played every 15 minutes. Every time it woke me I ended up trying the separating technique and the cycling techniques. Every time I tried doing the separation I felt stuck to my body. The only dream I had was a vivid dream about a train that only lasted 20 to 30 seconds.

Are the alarms fully awakening you? Maybe adjust the alarms volume so it doest awaken you as much. You only want to barely awaken, just enough so you have slight awareness where you are as close to the sleep/wake line as possible. If you awaken to much you lose your window. If you dont awaken enough you wont have enough awareness to remember that you are attempting to project. Also-instead of trying Radugas techniques all the time try instead to remain aware in that sleep/wake twilite state of mind and monitor what happens. To do this, after one of your alarms awakens you and you become aware, IMMEDIATELY relax as if you were going back to sleep. So 1. You are sleeping and boom, you hear one of your timers alarms awaken you. 2. As soon as you remember that you are attempting to project, immediately relax as much as you can as if you were going back to sleep. Dont worry, you wont fall back to sleep. The excitement of trying to project will keep you from falling asleep. 3. When you are relaxing deeper and deeper after the alarm awoke you listen for any sounds and monitor for any electrical energy sensations. If you notice sounds or energy sensations continue to relax even more. You need to firmly set the intent to “immediately relax” upon hearing your ramp timer so it becomes second nature. Understand? You are getting close bro so remain deligent. It may happen tonite or next week but it will never happen if you give up. Once it does happen and you familiarize yourself with your process it will become easier for you. Good luck!

I have a much higher percentage of having an experience when i am tossing and turning. It seems our bodies are actually still winding down into sleep even though our minds are active. Im curious if you had any energy sensations as you approached hypnagogia or any other times during your experience. Good for you!

The obe4u technique I'm doing is where you try to separate for 3 to 5 seconds. Then if you don't separate you then do cycling techniques. The two techniques I'm doing is phantom wiggling and hands visualization. You do each cycling technique for 3 to 5 seconds. If a LD or OBE is reached then that is what doing the cycling techniques are for. The cycling techniques are then done in back to back for the seconds and then done in total for 4 cycles. A cycle is the two techniques done 4 times in total for a total of 40 seconds. If you need additional explanation reply back to this post.

Please explain what you are trying to do and how you are trying to do it in step by step detail. Again, from your posts it doesnt sound like you are understanding how a ramp timer works. Explain in step by step detail exactly what you are doing and then I will advise you on how it defers from my technique. It is difficult to advise you when it seems you may possibly not be understanding the concept of a ramp timer and doing it to its full benefits. Good luck!

Im not referring to Raduga. Im trying to explain how to use a “ramp” timer that gently disturbs your sleep with a single alarm sound to hopefully awaken you enough so you can explore that sleep/wake area of consciousness because that is where ap resides. Rather with Raduga or any other author the point is to experience that area just before you fall asleep or just as you are waking up. A 3-4 hour recording with one or two beep alarms interspersed will slightly jar you from sleep so you can explore that “groggy” state while you are fully conscious. Look for any strange sounds or electroEnergy/vibrational energy sensations. They dont happen all the time Luff. In fact they RARELY happen at all which is why you should familiarize yourself with that “groggy” area of consciousness. Also look for hypnagogic imagery or any images you see in that groggy state. Again-it rarely happens. It may take a month for you to notice anything strange or unfamiliar. Or it may be tonight. Thats why you must remain diligent and continue to familiarize yourself with that groggy state of consciousness. When an alarm does awaken you,  immediately relax as if you were going back asleep then pay attention to any noises or images etc. Let it unfold naturally. You seem to be putting the cart before the horse if you dont mind me saying that. Create a timer that has single beeps that you dont need to turn off yourself. Im not sure you are understanding the concept of the ramp timer.

You play the audio directly from your phones recorder by pressing “play.” Put your phone on “speaker” mode so you can actually hear the alarms. Then you lay your phone close to you while you sleep with the recorder running. Im not sure why this is so difficult to understand Luff.

Why do you need an app when you already have a recorder in your phone? You can easily do this by yourself without getting an app. You can record silence by yourself without getting an app. Record the silence and then edit the recorded silence to install the alarms in the intervals you want. Here is a quick example of a ramp timer. This timer is 60 minutes of silence followed by five minite incremetal alarms which i believe is way to close together but again, get creative with what you think is best for you. You can even use the alarms from this youtube ramp timer as the alarm on your self created ramp timer by recording the sound. Understand? Good luck!

What is your technique for getting out? It sounds like your body isnt quite enough asleep/relaxed and it is close to the “wake” side of the “sleep wake line.” Do you have vibrations or hypnagogia or.....? Be sure to focus solely on relaxing before you actually exit and once out dont try to do so many things at once like visiting friends or “higher self now” etc. Focus solely on the environment you are in as intensely as possible with one intent at a time by examining one thing or utilizing other senses but only one at a time intently. You need a “tape recorder” luff. It is very simple. Its called “voice memos” on the iphone which the app store has a zillion tape recorder apps which im sure google has even more. Or simply buy one of those cheap digital recorders at walmart. The point of the “ramp timer” is to gently rouse you from sleep without blowing you out of bed. If you have 10 alarms set in a four hour period,  five of them most likely wont even wake you up at all because they must be gentle alarms so as to not awaken you fully. But once you do gently rouse from sleep from one of the alarms and become conscious, you MUST then immediatley relax as if you were going back to sleep. It is in that small window that you will sometimes experience enrgy sensations or strange sounds,  which turn into vibrations IF you relax and dont fully awaken. You are trying to stay awake and aware during the theta brainwave state. If you really wanna do this then get creative bro.

As soon as you consciously heard the sound, you should have immediately relaxed as if you were going back to sleep, with the sole thought of relaxing more and more to bring on vibrations. The singular thought/excitation is enough to keep you from actually falling back asleep. You were in the theta brainwave state when you consciously heard the sound and if you awaken even slightly more you will move out of the theta state as you awaken, hence you needing to relax immediately so as to keep you in the theta state. The theta state is where vibrations/energy sensations occur in which you project from. Also-eliminate all fear of the noises being outside of you as if a tornado ready to sweep your wife away. You must fearlessly relax knowing that the sound is solely an inner sensation that precedes vibrations. You can recreate the event you experienced by relaxing as if to go back to sleep each and every time you awaken so it becomes second nature. Then these events will happen more frequently vs. a one time deal. Many people are unable to consciously remain awake during the theta state so they never experience energy sensations, so that is a huge bonus for you in your quest to AP. Be sure to  consciously attempt to recreate this experience by always exploring the sleep/wake line of consciousness by remaining awake as you hover close to the line, every single time you awaken or you will eventually forget to do so and your experiences will once again become random events. You are close to having your mind blown buddy!

It sounds like you are a “natural” DB by seemingly being able to produce vibrational/energy senstaions rather easily. Not many people are able to do so and it is a “gift.” I would recommend you explore initiating those vibrations with a ramp timer and make it a habit to seek them out upon awakening in the a m or any time during the night. Set that intent so it becomes second nature each time you awaken to explore that area of consciousness. Ive also experienced myriad “malevolent” entitys that I assume are attracted to any deep seated fear I may posess so it is vital to fearlessly ignore them or think or say “be gone” and they will be on their merry way! I had this evil little fuckr whos named was “locutus” that manifested due to fear I was unaware I had,  but they have no actual power over you so there is nothing to fear. So again, I hope you fearlessly focus on manifesting your vibrations and it sounds like you are well on your way to many obe adventures. Congratulations dude!

What are you trying to validate? That you essentially become a ghost and roam the physical world during an obe? Most people have that misperception when the term “out of body” is used. Ive never roamed the physical world during an obe yet it has opened my eyes to realities that exist besides the physical world. Many of my obes begin in my “house” which I know for sure isnt really my house. Do we actually create the construct of that experience, given we create our own reality, or does it exist on its own is the better question.

Just a quick reply with something ive had success with Luff AND I have sleep apnea. As far as sleep apnea goes simply lay on your left or right side so your throat doesnt collapse. As far as technique do you have a phone with a voice memos app for voice recordings? Record 4 hours of silence and then edit the recording where one alarm goes off in 20 minute intervals after the first hour or so of silence. You dont want an alarm that blasts you out of bed and fully awakens you that you need to turn off yourself. You want an alarm that gently rouses you from sleep and awakens you so you are slightly aware. Then relax as if going back to sleep and monitor/explore that sleep/wake line for sounds or energy sensations. After the first hour of silence in the recording set several alarms in 20 minute or less intervals so you have seberal chances to awaken at the sleep/wake line because that is where the obe ohenomenon resides. With trial and error you can adjust the volume of the “ramp timer” alarms so they only gently rouse you from sleep. Also-you will need to change the actual sound of the alarms after your mind becomes accustomed to them because it will sleep thru them knce it has.  My ramp timer had several different sounds in each recording and i have several recordings with different incremental alarms so as to switch things up. Ive had much success with this technique but im semi retired so i dont always need to get a solid 8 hrs. sleep either! You must be diligent in doing this so as to familiarise yourself with that area of consciousness. Good luck!

Thats fear based nonsense and if you intend to explore the ap phenomenon you must eliminate all fear. AP/lucid dreaming is a natural human ability that we all have access to. It is up to the individual if they want to explore to do so or not. People have made alot of money by the use of fear through out history but in truth there is nothing ever to fear because you are the captain of your own ship.

Sorry... Not 100% sure what you are asking.

I usually use the Direct Method, For some reason at this point I get good results (sensations) almost 100% of the time. Not full separation (So I think).

When I have used the "WBTB Method" and the "Indirect Method" I find very little success. But I have only been using them on weekend once or twice a week. But the majority is the Direct Method before bed during the week.

Do you wake up during the night? Every time you wake up at night or even if only in the morning when you first wake up, as soon as you can remember, completely relax as if you were going back to sleep with the single thought in your mind “relax to have an obe.” That single thought will keep you from actually falling back asleep. Do this every single time you wake up during the night and/or in the morning. Engrain it in your mind to do so every single time until it becomes second nature. It wont be long til you experience energy sensations or np voices, sounds etc. The key being “totally relax upon first waking” and engraining in your mind” to do so every single time you first awake. Diligence is a must. Good luck. You are on your way!
