51  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: DMT question on: October 07, 2014, 15:39:17
DMT is not something that you would become dependent on by any means. It's not something you crave to do over and over again

I'm not talking about becoming dependent on it in an addiction type of way.  I meant that personally, I wouldn't want that to be my "vehicle" out of body so to speak, or my catalyst for projection.
Here's an example - someone using laxatives to go to the bathroom for so long, now they can't use the restroom without them.
Here's not an example - Becoming addicted to chewing tobacco

See the difference?

53  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / A question for the Christians (and other religions) on: October 07, 2014, 04:21:14
Have any of you Christians had OBEs that lead you to believe Christianity based on personal experience?
I can imagine the Astral planes/Spirit World being seen as heaven.
Have you experienced something that would lead you to believe in hell?
Have you witnessed someone dieing and receiving judgment?
Purgatory?
I can see how higher beings could be seen as a form of God.
What about the devil?
Jesus?
People being born with sin?  Or sin even existing?
Anything to make you believe Christianity over other religions

In addition, to any of other religions, have you experienced anything in the Astral Planes/Spirit World/Heaven that would make you believe in your religion over others.

It seems to me that personal beliefs help create what is experienced in the Astral/Spirit World/Heaven.
So I wonder if your personal beliefs have made your subjectively create the Christian beliefs once you're out there, or to be fair, if my personal beliefs have made me subjectively perceive what's objective in a non Christian way.

Religion's a touchy subject.  I don't think there is a way to say if religions exist or not - I'm just curious to what you guys are experiencing.  Can't stress that enough.
54  Spiritual Evolution / Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Re: Do we really choose our parents before birth? on: October 07, 2014, 03:16:48
My two cents on why spirits would pick parents that don't love them, or hookup with people they will divorce later, is that it's all about learning.  There's something you have to learn from the parent/child or couple relationship.
55  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: A few things I'd like to know on: October 07, 2014, 03:10:39
See how reading my reply you are aware of your surroundings?  The keyboard in front of you, the walls around you, maybe your pet/family/friends in the other room?  That's consciousness.  You are actively aware and experiencing your environment.
Astral Projection/OBE is placing your consciousness into other places (Astral Planes/Spirit World/Heaven whatever you want to call it) and experiencing those places.  Everything works off of consciousness.

Yes you can interact with higher beings.  I have (as many here have) met many spirits and my spirit guide.  I haven't, but some people have actually projected into space and met aliens.  Robert Bruce mentions having met astral wildlife similar similar to what we perceive as fairies even.  Also, I haven't met an angel, but have read many cases of people meeting angels.

Witnessing past events/time travel, I prefer the term "Remote Viewing."  And I have done this.  Took my consciousness to the past where I experienced myself in the backseat of my moms old car as a 5 year old driving down the street in my old city.  In reference to seeing the past and future, many believe this is accessing the Akashic Records, which are told to be a library of records of the past and future.  If you believe in different astral planes, I think its said to be on the 4th Astral Plane.

Dejavu (sp?) Some people think this is where you projected some night and visited the Akashic Records and saw the future.

56  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: DMT question on: October 07, 2014, 02:59:06
I don't think you need anything to kick start OBE.  Just takes practice.
If you want to do it for fun or something I mean live and let live.
This would be my biggest worry - I wouldn't want to become dependent on anything but myself to OBE, so that if I ever went without it, I could still OBE independently.
Food for thought.. smiley
57  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Helped my buddy raise energy on: October 06, 2014, 16:27:52
My buddy was really interested in meditation and energy work but didn't know how to do it.
I told him to lay down and close his eyes and relax/deep breaths.
Then I tried stimulating his feet/legs/hands/arms and chakras from above his body and he told me he could feel a tingly vibration in the places i was stimulating.
Personally, from my own experience I don't think energy raising is a prerequisite or mandatory to have an OBE but it was pretty neat  smiley
After a while he even said it felt like his head was huge, like filling up the room so I imagine he was in a trance too

Great experience!   smiley
I wonder if it was genuine, or if you passed a moral test
59  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: advice/comments required on: October 06, 2014, 04:50:41
What's to be feared?  You met a helpful, calming spirit and had a semi-lucid OBE.
That sounds like great success to me

More importantly, I think the reason the helpful entity/spirit guide tried to calm you down was to teach something about grounding.
Kind of seems like you were fighting your feelings.  Getting worked up, afraid, nervous, etc ends OBEs or draws attention you dont want.

When I first started feeling heavy vibrations during trances, it was almost as unbearable as you said.  It got me really worked up and nervous.
But now it's the best feeling in the world. You'll get used to it AND as you experience it more, the intensity will decrease.

Just let the river take you  smiley
60  Spiritual Evolution / Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Re: Astral plane is the 4th or 5th dimension? on: October 06, 2014, 04:39:44
Right, but if you could go as far as you could ever imagine, and it would keep being rendered, then on some level it would be infinite.
If it was finite, then wouldn't your consciousness eventually stop rendering anything at all?
61  Spiritual Evolution / Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Re: Astral plane is the 4th or 5th dimension? on: October 05, 2014, 19:19:46
Physically it's finite.

How would that be?
62  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: First Conscious OBE on: October 05, 2014, 19:15:58
It makes me wonder really.  Why would be dreams be so much easier to remember if they really are projections themselves.    huh
63  Dreams / Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Strange dream on: October 05, 2014, 02:48:06
Teach yourself to stay calm, I can assure you it's not just a good skill for exiting.
If you get too fearful of things in an OBE, your fears can worsen the environment and attract negativity (If you believe negativity exists).
If you get too excited in an OBE, the OBE can cease and you get roped back in by your body.
Ground yourself.  That is, stay calm and observant always.
Early on you'll probably have the famed "fear test."  I had mine recently, seems like almost every experienced APer has had one and the point is to teach yourself to stay calm.  And if you can't it starts to become a roadblock in your spiritual evolution.
I didn't have my first OBE until I after stopped getting excited and nervous when my heart started racing for example.

Point of story - Calm and Observant ALWAYS  smiley
64  Spiritual Evolution / Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Re: Astral plane is the 4th or 5th dimension? on: October 05, 2014, 02:40:27
The "Astral" is infinite.  The "Physical" is infinite as well.
65  Spiritual Evolution / Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Re: Very interesting Navajo belief on: October 04, 2014, 19:28:23
Szaxx, It really speaks to being calm and observant, not letting fear take control.

Bluefirephoenix, it really is weird isn't it?  But people don't think ancient cultures were intelligent or rational.  Like we learned in Astronomy.  "Modern" civilizations wanted to completely get rid of supernatural ideas for why things happen, and instead turn to what they thought was rational - which would be anything scientifically proven.  I guess that's why so many people AP/OBE is so irrational, because they haven't scientifically proven it.
66  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: First Conscious OBE on: October 04, 2014, 19:21:28
This is ALWAYS a good idea, ALL of the time.
Grounding and centering yourself is probably one of the best things you can learn to do.

It's also not something you do "once in a while" or "before meditation"... you should ALWAYS be grounded and centered mentally and emotionally.
This allows you to keep yourself under control.

It seems like a very good way to be.  Not letting emotions ever take control here, or letting emotions take control "there" either.  Too much fear could cause trouble, and too much excitement could end the projection.
Thanks Xanth  grin
67  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: First Conscious OBE on: October 04, 2014, 04:44:43
Thank you Soarin  smiley

Grounding by being calm and observant.  Got it.  I've been working on that here on Earth too.  Trying not to get too excited about things.  It's like the term "practice like you play."
Having a clear intent - that's something I didn't have.  I had no purpose, no plan nor preparation.  That will be something for the future.

I did take a minute to thank my spirit guide and higher self the morning after  smiley
Thanks EscapeVelocity  smiley
68  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: OBE and Astral Projection... on: October 04, 2014, 04:10:14
My suggestion?  Keep practicing.  It took me over a year to have 1 OBE.  It took some people on this site over 10 years to OBE.
Never have fear, there is nothing that can hurt you, unless you let it.
And dreams ARE projections.  No matter where you are (here on Earth, in a "Dream" in the Astral planes, or RTZ) its all projecting.  You're projecting your consciousness to different places.
You may not have seen your astral body, because really, your body doesn't exist.  You're a point of consciousness.
And yes it was real.  Why? Because everything is "real"
69  Spiritual Evolution / Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Re: Very interesting Navajo belief on: October 03, 2014, 21:49:36
Sorry for re-post

But in addition they said that one of the best ways  to find the strength to overcome evil is by turning inward and using one's own powers - a concept I've seen very often from BlueFirePhoenix here on the Pulse.

These ancient cultures were pretty smart..  grin
70  Spiritual Evolution / Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Very interesting Navajo belief on: October 03, 2014, 21:46:45
I'm doing a research paper on the Navajo Indians.  I read that one of their beliefs was that, in a nutshell, malevolent spirits cause sickness/torture etc.. to people who have the greatest fears.  If someone was sick they would sometimes ask shamans to go into the Spirit World to help out whoever was being attacked/sick.

Ring a bell???

That's one of the pieces of advice I see most common here on the Pulse with spiritual evolution, and is one of the cornerstones of Tom Campbells idea in how to spiritually evolve - have no fear.
Also, Robert Bruce says the best way to attract demons is to have fear.
Very interesting
71  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / First Conscious OBE on: October 02, 2014, 20:27:03
I meditated for a while and delved into a very deep trance.  And for the first time I could feel my arms swinging around outside my body.  Quite weird actually, my elbows were swinging up and down like a chicken.

You know how you don't notice yourself start to fall asleep, but all of a sudden you "pop" back into waking consciousness?  It was kind of like that.
I don't remember phasing at all.  I don't remember being consciously aware of it.

But all of a sudden "pop!" I was conscious looking down at my body laying there in bed as I was rising up into the ceiling.  After that - nothing.  That's all I remember.  Must have been the RTZ.

So I'm of course very excited about my first ever conscious projection - and must give a whole-hearted thank you to everyone on the Pulse who helped me achieve such an amazing feat

And I must say my experience really spoke to the phasing concept.  There was no energy raising or projection techniques with pulling on a rope or anything.  Just kind of slipped out of body.  I don't know if I felt heavy vibrations or vertigo during the phase because I couldn't remember the actual exit but that's quite alright.  Really too bad I don't remember anything after rising into the ceiling..

I only wonder what breath taking places I must have explored last night...
72  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Humour? on: September 30, 2014, 05:33:05
EscapeVelocity - If I remember correctly, that was the experience with the old friend who literally created his art there. Like mammoths or huge buffalo or something?  If that's the right post - that may have been one of the single most interesting stories I've ever read

Sorain12 - That is funny!  "No stinkin angel"  I even got a laugh out of that.

That's all wonderful to here  grin
73  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: "Double conciseness" thing on: September 30, 2014, 05:22:24
A daydream being completely "real" and in all actuality a projection of consciousness - yes I grasp that (only so because of personal past experience with dreams).
Now... there not being a "here" as opposed to "there."  That's a quite a leap for me really.  I only recently, through your help I might add  smiley , grasped labels being basically useless.  So I figured "here" as opposed to "there" was a a perfect way to describe the difference between Earth and some other plane for example.
Honestly, it doesn't make sense at the moment because as far as my limited experience has taken me, your consciousness does seem to be in a different place when you project consciousness to some different plane.

And as a follow up question...  if there is no "here" or "there"  then the common perception of other planes being "higher" would be false?
74  Dreams / Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Strange dream on: September 29, 2014, 18:21:10
Dreams ARE Astral projections.  Just not-so-lucid projections.
You felt like you weren't going with the flow as much because you were more lucid than in a "Normal dream."
Personally,  if I felt these exit symptoms, I wouldn't fight it.  They're natural and you go through it every night - and who knows you may have had a full blown conscious projection if you had just let the river take you so to speak.
75  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: "Double conciseness" thing on: September 29, 2014, 17:15:37
Have you ever sat in school and daydreamed you were somewhere else?  Well, that' being aware of being in two places at the same time.

Imagination isn't something "fake".

What you're saying Xanth, is that when you day dream your consciousness truly is somewhere else?  It's the same thing as a "dream" really being a projection?
