Hey everyone,

I ended up taking a 3 week break and not putting much attention to Astral Projection.

Started practicing again at the start of the week and have had some pretty good sessions.
Full of vivid colors and a couple "Movie Type" scenes. Lots of movement in the arms and a little in the legs.

I use "short breaks" with guitar and take some time off and find that when I come back to it I am farther along or a concept is easier to grasp/learn.
Also I tried something different as well. I usually crawl under the covers or a blanket... just cause I find it more comfortable. One night the wife suggested I try it laying on top of the covers or without a blanket. I thought about it for a while and realized I usually keep that part the same every time. So i gave it a shot....

Turns out it worked pretty well. Within a few minutes I was loosing feeling in my lower body and visuals were starting to come on.

Anyways just an update..... Thanks for reading.

Hey Guys & Galls,

I was just reading over a thread I have read a few times before.
I do this a bit as I find that I have grown between the time I read it once and then for the second, third or forth time. I usually pick up something new each time I read it.

So as I was re-reading another post, I noticed that the OP had noted that, he/she has conversations with himself and he/she was not sure how to stop that from happening.
And it was happening while laying down to project.

In the reply's everyone was pretty well telling the OP that this is normal and to have the conversation and at some point the conversation would take on a life of its own and this was another way to experience the NP and possible have a OBE.

I noticed this this time, but not last time. So, I wanted a little more incite into this and how to go about it cause I find that I can be laying there counting or doing some technique and I will notice that out of nowhere I am talking to myself.

I usually end the conversation right there and proceed with whatever I was doing.... Usually I count.

My thought was you wanted to keep your mind just active enough to keep the awareness.
Would a conversation not be to stimulating to shift focus enough to have an OBE? Or do people also use this method to achieve an OBE?

I tend to think that this scripture has to do with a higher being(s) helping someone throughout their whole life or family throughout their whole life only to have the most important lesson not only rejected but to cause more suffering to others. Not only that but there was an agreement made before their incarnation that they would overcome because of the help of higher beings, then it all just gets destroyed. What do yous think of this?

This is a good  question.
I am not religions and I don't truly believe there is a "God" a "Creator Of All"... So to speak. But believe there is a higher power and it is consciousness.
I do believe there is a greater force/power that we are all part of, that we are all... consciousness.

For what you are questioning, there would have to be a right and a wrong, correct?

If we are all operating on this physical training ground. As I believe this physical reality is only a training ground for the after life.
When you look at right and wrong in the end its all based on your experiences here on earth. What is right in my point of view, might be wrong in your views.... So what is right and wrong? Of course there are certain thing most people can agree on... Murder, rape, molestation, harassment... stuff like that = WRONG and me/most do NOT agree with one bit.

I think part of the issue is society is told what is right, wrong, acceptable, unacceptable. Which in turn throws a box around everyone and limits us... unknowingly. 

I believe that if you truly THINK and BELIEVE, as you ask.... "do something so wrong against your own self or God or higher being or all of them or whatever that you will be disowned on some level by some higher source?"

Then YES, YES, and YES!!! You are correct. It is YOUR thinking that makes it so.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with thinking and believing that.

So For my answer:
I don't believe this one bit. I am sure if you are a negative person and dwell on hate, anger, rage, ego.... You will have the same experiences after death.
I believe it is also true for the opposite.
I am crating my after life every day I wake up. No one ells is creating it for me. No person or book can tell me what my experiences will be like on this physical plane or beyond.

Just my $0.02 look forward to following this and this type of conversation fascinates me.
I love seeing how others resonate with questions like these!

Congratulations. Hungry and thirsty, I imagine your body used a lot of energy getting to that point and likely you did have a brief experience that lasted much longer 'out there' than you recall bc here the timing was so short. It's all good.

I would say you are an extremely strong individual.

Keep a positive outlook on everything. Even when events that happens in your life might seem "bad" at the time. Trust and truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and that the situation is going to work out in the end.

Something I do, when I have an experience in life that I automatically look and and say... "Oooo that's not good" OR "Really, that sux!" I try and catch it as quick as possible and re-look at the situations and say... "Its forming".
I'm not sure what "IT" is but I know and truly believe its a good thing and the universe is placing exactly what I need into my existence on this physical plane.

Maybe this is going to show you something... You may be right.... This might show you that you don't need the pills it also might show you that you still need the pills but not in the capacity you need them now. Who really knows, right?

Weather you think you do, or you think you don't. Either way you are "ALWAYS" right!! It is "YOUR" thinking that make it so!

Sorry to hear you were experiencing pain.

Not sure how much help I can be but I would ask....
1) What "feeling" did this experience give you?
2) What was going on in your life prior? And not so much in your physical but if you are actively monitoring your emotions on a constant daily basis. what were you feeling leading up to this happening.

I truly believe the universe gives you exactly what you want. Based on your emotions and thought but more so the intent, hope this make sense?

For example: Say you like playing guitar... and every time you pick up the guitar you feel good and you note the emotion associated with that. Its possibly not the guitar itself that gives you the emotion or the feeling of good. It could possible be the creativity side that gives you this emotion.

The best way to sum it up I suppose would be to say what is your intent. Playing guitar is the action and the feeling associated with playing the guitar world be the intent.

So what was your intent (the majority of the time) the last little while leading up to this happening. Maybe your higher self is showing you you need to change your thought / intent process?

Just my $0.02... hope you find a little incite in this post, if not that is OK as well.

Hopefully it is nothing serious and happy it seemed to have cleared up for you.

Side Note: If you believe that further medical attention is required you should explore that.  Sometime its better to be safe than sorry?

Yeah, it's kind of driving me mental lately.  LOL
They are their own worst enemy.

It's exactly why I try so hard to get people to lose the labels.  In the end, they only hold you back.

The goal one should try to have is to simply "be consciously aware while you're non-physical"... that's it.  That's the holy grail right there, and when they do it, they still don't believe it. 


Reading your posts about loosing labels.... is there any sticky or other details post you have put out?
I have been thinking this lately and its funny I come across your posts like this. And everyone is looking for a "technique" to help them through.

I myself am guilty of the as well up till about a month ago I realized that its not the tips, tricks or technique that works... Its all in your mind!

As soon as you consciously heard the sound, you should have immediately relaxed as if you were going back to sleep, with the sole thought of relaxing more and more to bring on vibrations. The singular thought/excitation is enough to keep you from actually falling back asleep. You were in the theta brainwave state when you consciously heard the sound and if you awaken even slightly more you will move out of the theta state as you awaken, hence you needing to relax immediately so as to keep you in the theta state. The theta state is where vibrations/energy sensations occur in which you project from. Also-eliminate all fear of the noises being outside of you as if a tornado ready to sweep your wife away. You must fearlessly relax knowing that the sound is solely an inner sensation that precedes vibrations. You can recreate the event you experienced by relaxing as if to go back to sleep each and every time you awaken so it becomes second nature. Then these events will happen more frequently vs. a one time deal. Many people are unable to consciously remain awake during the theta state so they never experience energy sensations, so that is a huge bonus for you in your quest to AP. Be sure to  consciously attempt to recreate this experience by always exploring the sleep/wake line of consciousness by remaining awake as you hover close to the line, every single time you awaken or you will eventually forget to do so and your experiences will once again become random events. You are close to having your mind blown buddy!


LOL...I am ready to have my mind blown friend!!

As soon as I made the decision to wake up I knew what had happened and how close I was to a full exit... But now I know what to do next time!

I don't need 60 to 90 minutes anymore either. The reason it took that long in the beginning was that "I" was the one getting in the way of any successes. I would have a symptom and lock onto that, instead of just "passively observing" it. Once I had a few successes, I was taught by a mentor (deceased Brother-inlaw) the importance of "passively observing" and mentally "allowing" things/the shift to occur.

I am having a hard time with the "passively observing"... I find it is better now a days, then it was a year ago. But I always latch on to a new sensation when they/it arises.

Is there a trick to this or is it simply a practice item?

Now the AP is back up I can finally post this LOL!!

So a couple nights ago I fell asleep saying a new mantra over and over "I Am, Going To Project".

I went to bed at around 9:15 pm and was probably sleeping with in 10 - 15 minutes. At around 12:30 the below happened.....

As I was sleeping I was woken up by this loud pulsating sound. The sound would come in short and get closer together.
I recall waking up to pitch black and managed to not move. As if the sound had woke me up and I was laying their listening for it to come back before I decided to either get up and check of go back to bed.

As I was laying there in the dark not moving wondering what it was that woke me up, it seemed to take a while for the sound to come back and I recall thinking that I was hearing things and I should just go back to sleep.
Right then the sound rushed back in. It started rushing in louder and faster till a one point it was a constant roaring in my head and almost had a 3D quality to it like so sort of vibration sensation but not the typical vibrations.

Once the sound was constant i became worried about my wife and was wondering what was going on and i ended up waking up to check. I know now what was going on.

One strange thing was... Once this was over I was so hungry and thirsty I had to get up and have a snack and a drink.

Just a cool experience I had, any responses are welcome.

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!  I finally did it.  I had a about a 2 to 3 minute OBE astral projection this morning around 4am.
Here are my details:

Around 4am or so I realized I was dreaming.
I used the rollover  technique to go OBE.
I then moved outside my bedroom downstairs to a street (I live in a condo building).
I literally moved through people.
I also moved right through a garbage can and a few walls.
And after about 3 minutes I unfortunately snapped back into my body.

I have a few concerns though.  I didnt recognize the street I was on, plus the street was very crowded for 4am in the morning.
What does that mean??  Was I not near my home??


Please keep in mind I am not an experienced member and hopefully an more experienced member will chime in but is sound like you r focus was all over the place.
Not knowing the street your on and how crowded the street was. Could have been getting you to passively observe the situation and look at things in greater detail?

Either way good job.... Look forward to when its my turn LOL.

What is truth?
Truth is solely dependent on the person/being... Is it not?
If our thoughts create our reality on this physical and non physical planes, then really... There should be no truth, as everything it truth?

What is truth to me, may or may not be truth for you. This dose not meant that is is any less truthful to me.
This is where ego comes in.

I have been working the last few months, on being less judgmental and monitoring my feelings, and feeling the best I can each and every day. It is crazy, how when you start to look at yourself all day long and monitor what different situation are making you to feel (internally). I notice a soon as someone says something I don't believe as truth or agree with, I notice my ego flare up right away.

But I am learning that we are in complete control of our emotions.... If you walk around feeling mad and frustrated all day the universe will put thing into your reality that will give you that feeling. If you walk around and genuinely feel good and happy most/all of the day its amazing how the universe puts things into your lifer that give you that feeling.

Even when something happens and it appears to be bad or not good for you... I look at it and just enjoy the experience and know that whatever is happening, is happening for a reason and I believe/know that something great is going to be manifested into my life.

I believe strongly that EGO is killing our evolution. When you drop ego and start realizing that everything that every one is saying or doing is truth and is right, weather you agree or not. It once again completely changes you outlook on life and reality in general.

So to end off that I would like to say that I am by no means beyond EGO... It (ego) is not easy to live with each day and at this point still takes CONSTANT monitoring and keeping in check.

This is why its so hard to prove AP is real.... Cause to you and me it is 100% real, we believe that we "KNOW".
To others its 100% not real... And that is OK, they believe that they "KNOW".

So to keep it simple why do we need to prove it to others? Even if we wanted to prove it to someone ells we cant!
We can explain it in the best words we can, and explain to them on how to do it. But in the end they need to prove it to them self.
If they are successful then at that point they get to change their "TRUTH"... if they so choose.

Hope this made some sense... I don't know maybe I just had to go on a little rant about this.

SCHMUSTIN, there is are many sensations and occurrences in this practice in general that are very hard to describe. The "feelings", eye movement impulse, things like that are hard to describe. You just kind of learn like you are blind and getting to "see" for the first time. You have to "feel" around.

 That link above should help you with your focus. The trick is to keep your eyes centered, more like targeted. Instead of having them chase the visuals, try using just your "peripheral vison" to see and take in al the movements in your "visual screen".

 Also, I noticed how you stated that you put 30 minutes into this. When I first began practicing in 2011, I would put at least an hour in before I got to feel any kind of intense vibrations. Sometimes it took a hour and half. It took me that long, because like you, I was chasing visuals and focusing on every little vibration, etheric body movement, basically anything that occurred. It was like one step forward, 3 steps back. I was constantly "resetting". But then I learned to just trust and passively observe all that I was seeing or feeling, until I just "knew", it was time to engage the scene/reality I was experiencing.

So in short I need to go longer and let it play out.... I am cutting it to short.

Got it... Thank you.... Will give it a go over the next couple days and see ho it pans out.

At the start I would lay there for 60 to 90 minutes and would not get as far as I do now in 20 to 30 minutes. I will let the process play out for at least an hour and see what comes with it.

 Those are just effects though. It sounds like you are more focused on them than you are the actual exit. Passively observe them with a "air of curiosity".

That is a good question... Not 100% sure why I stop, never really thought about it. Best answer I can give at thins point it either 1) I feel it is time to go to bed and get the rest 2) I feel the experience is over and I wont get anything more out of it. I realize my believing make is so.

You may be correct, Once I feel a part of my body moving I focus on it and work on getting it to move more. No that I think about it the limb that is moving never dose what I want it to do.  huh

 What kind of exit are you "expecting"? Are you looking for a "etheric", full body exit?

Ha ha ha.... Yes I would love the experience of opening my eyes and seeing my physical body laying on the bed. But I also realize that I will get what I need, when I need it, and it may not be what I think I want.

 I do have a few questions though. When you first start noticing the darkness before your eyes, do you get a slight impulse to "re-adjust" your eyes?

Okay, I know this is something I missed when I was doing the original post.... Thanks for the question....

After a bit into the process. I will start looking into the blackness and work on keeping my mind silent.
After a few seconds it is almost like there is... Don't really know how to explain this in words...
But it is like a second set of eye lids is slowly lowered over the "Blackness" that was originally their and as the "eye lids" (We will call them that for now as I don't know how ells to explain it) slowly lower over my eyes the blackness becomes blacker/darker... This is where the small electric shock sensation comes over my whole body.

As far as wanting to re-adjust my eyes... yes I think I know what you are talking about but cant say for sure.
More so I get the feeling as if sand is placed where my upper eye lids would contact my lower eye lids. Not sand in my eyes but just where the two touch. It is really hard to not open them. I can usually "will" it away and not pay much attention to it now.

 You have chosen one of the toughest times to project. Many people prefer the 3-4 am hour to awake and attempt their exit. The reasons for this being that they normally already have 4-5 of hours of sleep in and now have interrupted their REM cycle. When you first go to bed at night, you are already mentally tired and ready to completely "tune out".

 Another time people are successful is after they awake in the morning. They program their minds to not move or even open their eyes when they naturally awaken in the morning. This makes it easier to go back from where they just came, their last Dream or they can make a new intent and discover that. They haven't fully reoriented themselves to their physical waking body yet.

 Then there is the process wake back to bed. Whereas you awaken, get up for about 1/2 an hour, then go back to bed and do a attempt. Once again, this is successful because you still haven't full oriented yourself yet to being awake. Just don't drink a coffee, lol?

Even at this time (Bed Time) when I am physically and mentally exhausted I still find I am able to keep my mind alert (really without much effort) and I will only fall asleep when I make the conscious decision to do so.

Now on the other hand you are right I do know that some nights (rare) I am way to tired to lay their and project so I opt to just go to bed.  
But I will set an intent to project upon waking or remembering my dreams... Something like that.

 You call your technique "Indirect", but to me, I still see it as "Direct". There was no loss of consciousness involved. When I do what you did above, set my affirmation and notice before I go to sleep, that will normally lead to a LD, not a full bells and whistles projection.

 Other than that, I would say your technique is good. Counting, Mantras, etc. work very good for some people. I like playing games with counting. Once in awhile I mentally count to 300. Sometimes, I change it up and just run 1-20 and 20-1 in a continuous cycle. I even like to do the more challenging way, which is counting and as soon as my thought leaves the count, which happens often, I immediately start the count over again. This is great way to "lose yourself" while you are awaiting the natural shift to occur. It also teaches you how to "hone" your focus ability.

 I think you may be giving up to soon. I find the "separation/shift" occurs, after all the bells and whistles have been exhausted. I shift during the "calm" after the storm, per se.

Sorry you are right I meant to say "Direct" ... Got the two mixed up.

I as well play games with counting, I find counting works well for me to keep my mind active when needed.

Think I'm giving up to soon? On average a session will go to 20 - 25 minutes. I set a 30 min alarm. Sooooo I will usually make the decision to end the session (as I detailed in my original post) due to the fact the usually after the second set of "eye lids" come don nothing really happens so I end the session and go to bed. I take it I should keep my focus harder than ever at this point and push through the nothingness?

Schmustin, I second Lumaza's advice about the clock time. If I were you would also try the indirect Wake-Back-To-Bed method and give myself 3 hours of sleep, then after the alarm-clock rings would give it a try. It can make a difference. It did so for me. Give it a try if you can and will.

I did just start venturing in to techniques like these only a couple months ago.
Have not had much /any success with these yet but am still trying theses out on the weekends or, if i don't have to work the next day.

I just ended my Phase/soak session and today I focused on this thread here and especially your current situation SCHMUSTIN.

 To add to the OP's quote above, I would also put the invite out for those that have had their 3-5 "buys" already and wish to take it up a notch. A buy in my use here, means that you have already had a few successes and now find it even more challenging to get back again, as in "stuck".  We could possibly use the thread for that as well. Making it a win, win "win" for everyone. Unless people here think that it would be better to we want to start another thread for that kind of conversation.

 SCHMUSTIN, while focusing on your dilemma, without even knowing your chosen technique, I was shown it is more about the "Technician", than it is the "technique " in this case. So, we need to work on that. A good way to start is to have a good meditative talk with you and your higher self to find out why you are being challenged here. Next we can work on things like strengthening your focus ability in general. That's what I see and what my help to you at this current time would be.

 The good thing about this "Hotline" idea is that we can get viewpoints from other members and experiencers here as well. You may not like what one person has to say and seem to sway more to another's view or way of helping. As long as the end result is the same, that's all that matters here.

 SCHMUSTIN, post it here. That way other people can benefit from the advise you receive here. I have a feeling that many people share the same problems when attempting to project/consciously shift.

Ok here I go.  I am going to explain in word, the best I can, the process I go through while working on projecting.

So, with my schedule, I use mainly what people refer to as the “Indirect Method”.
I have started using the direct method but this is challenging LOL. Still a work in progress.

I know the “Indirect Method” is supposed to be a little bit harder of a way to go but for some reason I have always been drawn to it.

-I will go to bed about 30 to 45 minutes earlier.
-I take about 1 – 3 minutes to relax.
-At this point I will usually say a mantra a couple times.
-I will now start by counting (Backwards).
-Then try visualization. Or just looking into the blackness behind my eye lids.
- I will sit/lay and just keep my mind a quiet as possible and sit in silence. This is something I just started doing. I used to always be doing something in my mind but I find that as soon as I basically make it go silent, I get this feeling that my entire bode “tightens” ever so slightly, almost like a very small electric shock. Is this normal? If so, what should I do?
-Once I get the small electric sensation I mention in the point above. My mind will automatically start on a mantra or counting or having thoughts fly in/through it.
-Shortly after this I will start to get the sensation of movement hands, feet or head, or a combination. But have not had more than a partial exit. That I am aware of.

I feel it is important to note that in the last 4 – 6 weeks I am able to get a feeling of my hands legs or head moving. Fairly quick into the process, I would say on average 5 – 10 min.

So I am not sure what ells to say but I am sure there are key items I am missing.
Please ask question to get further information and I will answer.

I have been practicing this since October 2016 and I feel as I am missing a small piece of information to make the “light bulb” go off.

On a bright note I do feel more confident getting to where I am now in the process. To clarify this I mean that all the relaxing, counting, visuals, movement, noises (when I hear them). Basically I have gotten comfortable with the sensation I have been getting for the past 2 years.

 So, SCHMUSTIN, where do you feel your "block" is? As per the OP, tell us what your technique is, step by step and where you feel you are getting stuck. Let's see if we can help you turn your situation into the first success story here. What do you expect to come out of all of this?

I strongly believe I just need to have someone say something a specific way so the "Light Bulb" goes off... hope that makes scene.

 You will find that there are many here on the Astral Pulse that don't share Michael's views. They don't look favorably at him either.

 I listened to what he had to say. I read his book, watched his videos. I liked some things he had to say, others things I felt he had no clue on. He likes to use his own terminologies to describe things that many practitioner's here already know as WILD (Wake Initiated Lucid Dreaming). His material is basically nothing new though. If anything, I think it confuses people, more than it helps them! But that's just my opinion.

I find the same thing, but also find allot of good information as well. Almost like you need to pick out what you believe as truth at this point in your journey.

Hey All,

I have been reading and listening to the book THE PHASE by Michael Raduga.

Wanted to see if someone has read this and can possibly explain something...

At numerous point in the book he refers to having a "Successful entrance into the phase". What is looked at a successful entrance into the Phase?

Is it a full separation experience or can it me as small as being able to move your non physical limb?
