26  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Making Progress / New sensation? on: March 05, 2017, 19:47:18
One Logic Question For Someone Who Has Children/Kids Under His/Her Care: żAre You Ready And Willing To Die And Leave Your Children If For Some Reason Something Happens While In A Lucid Dream /Astral Projection /Out Of The Body Experience /OBE? (Physical Death is something that is to be Accepted as a Reality in Life as well as a Possibility while performing Altered States of Consciousness, as it is necessary to be able to Take the Risks of Accessing those UNKNOWN places/locations/worlds/realms and interacting with UNKNOWN persons/beings in UNKNOWN situations).

Is physical death a real risk/possibility while OOB? I have never heard of this?
27  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Making Progress / New sensation? on: March 04, 2017, 20:55:02
You are welcome,

Simply laying down and doing a relaxation/meditation or exit technique is good for exploring the possible range of exit sensations and exercising your mind and energy body...but, it has a low success rate of actual exit/transition for the majority of us, myself included. That's not to say it can't be done but natural talent or years of practice may figure in. My point is that a combination of techniques may be helpful.

A few questions-

1- Have you tried a WakeBackToBed technique? Like setting an alarm for three or four hours into your normal sleep cycle, being mildly active for an hour, then laying back down and trying for separation as you fall back to sleep? If you are not successful at a separation and fall asleep, often you can be rewarded with a second wake-up or a lucid dream which gives you a different opportunity at a NPR experience.

2- Or, you can do a similar WBTB tech and wake up a couple hours before your normal daily waking time.

3- Daytime naps can produce wildly unexpected and wondrous things.

You certainly have demonstrated that you have the proper 'Intent' to have an OBE/Phasing; I am just wondering if, like a loaded and cocked gun, you have it pointed in the right direction. Difficulty in making progress at this point can be particularly frustrating; each of us seems to get stuck initially by different but very small things. You are getting a good variety of exit signs and symptoms, energy body sensations, etc. So my next questions become timing and Intent.

4- Regarding 'Intent', it can be as simple as asking for permission to do this and giving yourself permission to do this. Do you lay down to sleep every night and consciously make a mental statement to yourself and to the Universe that you wish to have an OBE? That you understand that it is safe? That you are asking for guidance and assistance in this endeavor? This is a very important step for at least a few reasons. You will find that functioning successfully in the NPR depends heavily on an understanding of the importance and use of Intent.

5- Intent is everything; timing is a close second...

EV,

In response, to your questions...

1) No i have not tried the WBTB. Do people see good results for this. Possible I should try this tonite? I will post tomorrow on how it went.

2) I will try waking up 2 to 3 hours after I go to bed. As in question 1 above.

3) I have tried daytime naps a couple times but with work and two kids this can be a real challenge LOL. Feel I need to mention that the 2 or 3 times I tried the day time OOB I did not have much results. I don't think I was tired enough.

I do believe/feel I am making progress; as I am laying there I do remind myself what I want to accomplish and that fear of the unknowing is turned in to minor excitement at this point for me. I feel that the universe is going to guide me as far as i need ot go and that when I am ready to experience more, i will. If that makes sence?

4) Yes, I believe I do this. When I am laying there I am more of asking the universe for guidance; to help me through the process. There has been occasions where I have ask and it felt like someone/thing has said OK you are ready for the next step. Other times it felt as if I had gone far enough and it was time to wake up.

5) Would you mind going into intent and timing a bit more. I believe I know what you are talking about but... I don't know, what I don't know, right?
28  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Making Progress / New sensation? on: March 03, 2017, 16:02:30
What Nameless said is particularly true- that current phenomena are a bit new and unpredictable...many of us seem to be encountering new and varied experiences lately.

SCHMUSTIN,  your set of sensations is well described in Lumaza's thread on Symptoms and Signposts, in this same forum...it is a good variety indicating proximity to an exit. You need to simply allow the direction to develop and "go with the flow"...this also includes some testing on "fear" and "doubt"...do you hesitate or do you allow the process to continue?...it can get especially tricky and subtle during these times...nobody can give you a straight answer on what to do in this; this is an individual thing that you must work out for yourself. The "stretching" sensations are always a good thing, let them continue...don't disallow any sensation.

The rational thought blockage is a good sign that your consciousness is realizing that it needs to re-map itself in a way, like a re-write of a personal computer program. A consciousness crossroads, a Y in the road...which way will you choose? Rational thought reaches an abrupt end...what are you left with? What is your "feel" of the situation? A big part of the Non-Physical is your "feel" of it...incorporating that "feel" becomes part of your new consciousness paradigm...

I will add this- it is not a re-write of your Physical World Reality and life; rather it is an indication to look differently at your Non-Physical World and how you are going to approach it. It is like walking into a store where there is a first set of automatic doors and a second set of automatic doors and an air conditioning system that blows air upon your entrance to equalize the pressure and minimize the temperature loss within the store entrance. It is a temperature change and an air pressure change...all very suddenly...our first entrances to the NP can often feel like this; a little disconcerting.

It may not feel like progress at the moment, but trust me, it is...keep plowing ahead.

Fun, right?lol

EV

EV,

Thank you for the reply, they are always appreciated!

In response to your question "...do you hesitate or do you allow the process to continue?"
I find that when the sensations first start coming on, I really have to focus on not paying allot of attention to them; and observing them with a mild curiosity. I am getting better at just letting the process continue, I do realize that.

I do notice that if I focus on them I seem to go backwards in to progression a step or two. But, I am able to quickly bring the sensation back and re-focus.

in my original post when i saw unable to form thoughts it did cause some fear and doubt. It was interesting tho... it was not stopping the process. The fear/doubt grew and I decided it was time to "wake up".

On a side note.... I have tried many ways of keeping my mind occupied; funny enough (the simplest trick) I realized the other night was, that just counting forward for me work awesome. it gives me a feeling of moving ahead, as if each increase in numerical counting forward bring me ahead in my purpose.

Just wanted to throw that in. LOL!

I don't know but it seems there have been others having some odd things going on as well. Seems perhaps we are pushing some sort of boundary. I've been exp some strange things too but don't know what's going on.

Nameless, that is very interesting that numerous people are starting to go through different stages that are "new" to most.

Wonder what we as a human race are being told / directed to??
Interesting is it not?
30  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Making Progress / New sensation? on: March 02, 2017, 18:06:58
Hey guys and gals,

last night I laid down to AP and had a range of sensations...

- Vibrations (All different kinds). Started as soon as I laid down!
- Felt like my whole body was being stretched like an elastic band.
- Felt like my head being pushed to one side.
- Pulsing static in my ears.
- Extreme pressure in my head.
- weird thoughts that made no sense at all.

Then a new one that scared me and I had to "wake up". I was finding it impossible to form thoughts in my "head". I knew what I wanted to think about, but could not "think it"!

Best way to explain it is, say you want to tell you loved one "I Love You". You can just vocalize it and say it. You can also "Think It", in your head to your self.

Now I knew what I wanted to "Think" while laying there. but I could not actually think it?

Almost like I could not form the thoughts? Is was a little jarring and I had to get up after what felt like a minute or two.

On top of that the whole process took 11 minutes which was really quick for me.

Any thoughts on what was going on with my thought process? I have never had it happen before?

When you are laying there what are you thinking about?
32  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: The Pillar Of Light on: January 31, 2017, 20:31:16
Thanks for sharing... I still have yet to have more than a partial separation.   huh
But stories like this get me excited when it finally happens!
33  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: The Steps to Success in your First Projections on: January 25, 2017, 23:42:57
Just came across this post; I have been struggling for about 3 months not to have another OBE since my last partial separation.

This hit the nail on the head as to what you explain, not to do. I am excited to try this out tonight and tomorrow morning.

Hope all works out and I can get out!!
34  Bug Reports and Questions / Forums Bugs Reports and Questions / Re: SMF Suggestion: Tapatalk on: January 23, 2017, 23:01:49
Nope.  But the software this forum runs on is extremely old at this point and adding anything new could be a tipping point to total ruination.  Smiley

So we don't want to touch anything.  hehe

Ha ha ha... that is totally understandable!
35  Bug Reports and Questions / Forums Bugs Reports and Questions / Re: SMF Suggestion: Tapatalk on: January 23, 2017, 22:07:37
I know this topic is old but wanted to post....  cheesy

If i may say.... having the ability to access this form through Tapatalk would be a great feature.

Have any talks come of this?
36  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Do negative emotions take a major role in AP? on: January 20, 2017, 20:18:22
Any emotion you have is a good emotions, you are feeling them for a reason.

Weather it is happy, sad, angry. You need to accept  the feeling and move on. There is no such thing as a BAD emotion.

They are your emotions and part of natural human existence.

I find that if I am having a "less desirable" emotion I will still try and project. 9 times out of 10 after I lay down, within 10 to 15 min the relaxation takes over an I feel great.
37  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Internal Pressure?? on: January 20, 2017, 19:52:11
Well, it's kind of funny... because most people are on the right track, they just tend to convince themselves otherwise.  Smiley

I think you hit the "nail on the head" with that post.

I find I am usually questioning "did that feeling I got really happen or was my mind playing tricks on me".

Something to work on I suppose.
38  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Internal Pressure?? on: January 19, 2017, 22:47:50
It's normal AND it was real.  You experienced it, so it's real.

It's just part of the normal process of pushing your conscious away from this physical reality.

Xanth, Thank you for your reply. your comments are always appreciated.

As someone who is new to this; it is sometimes nice to hear from more experienced people that you are on the right track.
39  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Internal Pressure?? on: January 19, 2017, 19:23:16
Bump.

Anyone??
40  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Internal Pressure?? on: January 18, 2017, 02:52:22
Hello Fellow AP'ers,

I was working in APing last night but it was late and I didn't expect it to go anywhere.

After about 30 - 45 min; I could feel this fairly strong pressure that seemed to build in my whole head. It then seemed to also start to move down to my shoulders and into my right and left arm.

Is this normal or was I to tired and just my mind playing tricks on me?
41  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Questions About Roll Out Method on: January 10, 2017, 23:38:28
I've Astral Projected a few times, but have only been successful using the target method (will post method soon) and affirmations. They tend to be hit or miss and have taken anywhere between 20 minutes to 4 hours to exit. Nowadays I get stuck at the vibrational stage  sad

I am able to totally relax my body and reach vibrational stage pretty easily. However, I have not been able to perform a physical exit like roll out, sit up...etc

I have tried to roll out but each time I did I physically rolled. So I had a few questions on the method:

Do I need to reach SP to do roll out or can I roll out without SP?

If not, do the vibrations have to be a certain intensity?

And how exactly do I roll out using my astral body without using my physical body?

Please note.. I have limited experience and will give you my thought and finding. Another experienced member should be able to provide more detail.

There is no need to experience SP. You can project without experiencing this. As long as you "THINK", you can.

The two times I have had partial separations, I was in the vibration stage.
One time they were a lower frequency, but still fairly strong and the other it felt like they were almost maxed out.

In both partial exits I heard a click; almost like I had cracked a knuckle or my neck. I didn't actually do it, that is just the best description of the sound I heard, non physically.

As I heard the "CLICK". The first time my NP head seemed to fall out of my physical and I was stuck in my pillow LOL. I stayed there for a little and could not get any farther and decided to re-join my physical. the second time i was able to get my head up and my right leg. Once again could not get any farther and re-joined to my physical.

Just mu $0.02... hope it helps a little.
42  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: How would you describe AP to someone who has never done it? on: January 10, 2017, 23:26:14
I mean, how does the 'separation' feel? Does it feel like being connected to your physical body while being someone else? How do you feel both existences at the same time? When you look around and see yourself, does it feel like being someone else? Do you still feel your physical organs' functioning?

With my very limited experience..... It feels natural.
Jarring at first, but over all.. enjoyable.

You are concentrated on the NP so you are not aware that you even have a physical body.

I guess if you wanted to feel you physical organs you could but I don't see added value in it.

"Weather you think you can, or think you cant. Either way, your always right. Its the thinking that makes it so."

just my $0.02 with very limited experience.
43  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: "the sweet spot" on: January 04, 2017, 02:16:22
Can anyone post the user of the youtube account?
The account posted is no longer available Sad

I have not posted much in the last couple months as I have not had much time to focus on AP.

I also clicked on the link and the video is unavailable  embarassed . Has anyone found a replacement video? I read through the post but I don't think all the video information is covered.

From what people are saying it sounds like a good technique and I would love to try it out.
44  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Just An Interesting/New Experience Last Night! Crazy? on: November 03, 2016, 02:34:02
I laid down for bed and gave myself an hour or so to relax.

I had earplugs in, so outside noises were pretty well not applicable.
After some time I thought I heard what sounded like the front door opening and closing.
I got up and nothing!! Is it pretty standard to hear common sounds like that?

I laid back down, and after some time I could hear, ("Hear" not "Thought") as I was counting backwards from 100 and it sounded as if someone was repeating some phrase in a language i didn't seem to understand or I just could not comprehend what was being chanted.

I assume it was not coming from my own thoughts as i could not get the chanting to go away.
I tried thinking about all different stuff and it hung on. Is this something that I should have run with??
45  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Wake induced success on: November 02, 2016, 22:06:57
Without a doubt this discovery holds a lot of potential in my mind and I intend to test it further, it is very exciting.

I am not certain I understand what you mean regarding the doubt of dreams.

What was I was trying to get at with that point is that I have on multiple occasions attempted to "project" when I am already shifted. In these circumstances success comes instantly with no effort, it is extremely trivial. But it isn't all that valuable for a learning experience to have an easy separation if it is non-transferrable (at my level) to an actual successful implementation within the physical reality state of mind.

Maybe I am missing something, but flying around in a dream effortlessly doesn't help us fly in this reality. Does this make sense?

In this case I think what I experienced was a genuine application, but even if it wasn't it seems like it may work anyway. As Campbell says the proof will be in the tasting next time I try.

Have you had a chance to try this approach again. I would be interested to know how it work for you on another try.

It this something anyone ells has experienced LOL.... Or is it all in my head?
47  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Hitting A Roadblock on: October 21, 2016, 23:01:03
Yeah this has happened to me. Eyes opening up automatically at some point near sleep paralysis. Physical distractions may indicate that your concentration is on the wrong thing. Sitting still inside your body so to speak is a sure fire way to get into sleep paralysis, but you also seem to be maintaining an acute awareness of what your physical body is doing. This is unlike the state of mind you take when your goal is to fall asleep.

The way you treat your eyes should be the same way you treat every other sense which you are not paying attention to - the feeling of the blankets on your skin, air going through your body, any noises that may be present. Personally I don't have much success with 3rd eye focus techniques because they keep me rooted on my physical eyes too much.

Thank you for thsis post.
Your thought on focusing on the 3rd eye clears up some of my questions.... THANK YOU.  grin grin grin

OP, are you having any further luck. If so please share if you dont mind  smiley, as I feel I have hit kind of a similar road block.
48  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Dose This Happen To Anyone Ells? on: October 21, 2016, 01:20:17
Soooo....

The last couple nights I have been laying on my back while working on APing.
What happens is, I get this sudden rush of energy/tingeing/vibrations.. (Can really describe it). I have gone through the intense vibrations and this in not quite the same feeling.

It starts as the back of my head and then all of a sudden it flows through my body to me feet. Almost as if you were to take a electric massaging unit and run it down someones back. It dosent consume my body. Its just a very intense flow through. I can only feel it on the skin that is in contact with the bed.

I can get this to happen numerous times but it is so intense that I always seem to tense up.
49  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Ap technique you enjoy on: October 19, 2016, 06:09:49
It might work easier for her because she isn't questioning it as much. She is just like, "ho hum, okay I'll give it a go". No expectations, no pressure. Do you see what I'm getting at here" *hint hint*!

LOL.... Yes, I see what your saying about the wife not "questioning it ha ha ha!

I know I am antisopating it, just cause I want it so bad. I have also had the pleasure of a partial separation.
50  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Ap technique you enjoy on: October 19, 2016, 00:36:44
...and what technique have you chosen SCHMUSTIN?

Right now I enjoy the "Indirect Method". I have seen the most success with this.
I enjoy the relaxing part LOL. I just lay there with ear plugs and focus on the beating of my heart and the air rushing through my nose and filling my lungs.

I did try the one where you look at the candle (As you recommended to me in a previous post).
It work great for my wife. She ended up in the void state with in 4-6 min. First time she ever got there, she was really excited LOL.

But for me after a couple minutes the focus point seemed to dissipate. I will be giving it another go.

I do still work on the direct method but it will take a bit and proving to be challenging to date.
