76  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What Are These Sensations? LIVING Thread! on: October 05, 2016, 01:46:48
I was reading a sticky in the form, about exit signs..... and there was one of them talking about a "CLICK" sound. And I an sure that is what I experienced when my head seemed to fall through my hand as i talk about above. ^^^

I Just had a HOLY POOP moment!!!! Can any one help confirm this based on the experiences I list above??

WOW... I am amazed right now!! Love it!!!

WOW... This was AMAZING. Sorry this might be a long one. It happened on two different occasions last night!

FIRTS One!

I was lying in bed yesterday and had a moment where I was alone (the kids were sleeping and the wife was downstairs). I was lying in bed and was feeling very relaxed and peaceful. So I decided to close my eyes for a couple min. I was not intending to project or make it very far, I just saw the opportunity to practice and decided to go for it.

While I was laying there (This happened SO fast) I almost immediately started hearing random little noises.
I did not have earplugs in and the house was not total quiet. I could hear my wife doing stuff in the kitchen. Just wanted to not that there were distractions while I was doing this.
All of a sudden I felt like there was this strong pressure in my head. I started to feel a vibration / tingle between my eye brows and then it started to consume my body, starting in my head. I thought this was supposed to start in your feet??
This sensation got very strong the longer I was experiencing it. This was not overly frightening (i actually quite enjoyed it) and I was able to hold it for what seemed like 2 - 3 min.

I wanted to keep this feeling going but noticed I was focusing 100% on this sensation. So I directed my mind and focused on breathing and counting. Once I re-directed my focus, I ended up feeling a little panic come over me, then I had this sudden urge to swallow (Not the same feeling but the only way I can associate the feeling). In turn it seemed like it was getting harder to breath and I decided to swallow. Which ruined the process LOL.

This is where it got interesting  huh.... Once I swallowed, I did not move at all, I just laid there waiting for the vibration to dissipate.
WOW, this is the cool part. I am not 100% sure how to explain this....

It was almost like as I was laying there feeling the vibrations slow and come to an end. It felt as if the vibrations were coming back into my body. Almost as if they were being sucked out with a vacuum while the process was going on. When I swallowed I could feel them being "lowered/coming" back in to my body while lying on the bed. I feel like I cannot describe this feeling well at all!

Even after the vibrations were gone I had this strange almost "residual" feeling all over the front of by body. Mainly in my arms and legs.
This one, I can’t explain the feeling, but it lasted for a few minutes. I also had the feeling of, WOW, that blew my mind for quite some time after.

SECOND one!!

I went to bed about 10:30pm, as I was laying there I was starting to get pretty well the same sensations as I did in the first one.
This time I was laying on my side, trying to go to sleep. My mind just would just NOT shut off (I think it was due to the first experience earlier that night).
At one point the vibrations started to get strong.

Now I need to paint a picture for you on how I was laying... I was laying on my right side, as this is how a normally sleep. My head was sideways and my left hand was palm down (toward the pillow) under my head.

I decided to go with it and all of a sudden I heard a click. Almost exactly like the sound you would get if  you were to crack your knuckles.
At that point as soon as i heard the "click" it felt as if my head fell through my hand!!!!

Has anyone ells felt this or was it all in my head (So to say LOL)?

This is when you PASSIVELY OBSERVE everything that flashes by with a air of curiosity and stay the course. It was the beginning of a "shift in consciousness", which is what Astral projection really is. You should have just "ran with it".

OK... Thanks again... Good information.

The reason I had willed myself to loose focus on it was I remember reading or hearing that you should not focus on theses pictures that flash.

From the last two experiences I posted would you say I am heading in the right direction and doing good? Or is there any think you think I am missing?

Good Day Travelers!!

I wanted to do an update on this and build from the post above.
The last few times (2 times so far) that I tried to AP before bed it did not end up well... I fell asleep and didn't make it very far LOL.

So... last night I decided to try before bed. I ended up trying for just over an hour, then decided I needed to get some sleep.  cheesy
I was laying there and focusing on being very relaxed and keeping my mind occupied (Counting backwards, also thinking "Mind awake Body Asleep"). I notice that I tend to focus on my heart beat, as I wear ear plugs. Good or Bad?
While I was laying there I didn't end up getting the "tingling" sensations (As i did before) or the "Lead blanket" (I still don't think I have experienced this cry) sensation.

I did get the typical urge to roll and itching which I was able to move past.

But something that happen this time, that didn't happen last time...
I had about 3 or 4 picture pop into my head. When they came in I would focus on them and everything ells seemed to fall away as if I was no longer aware of my breathing, heard beat, my surroundings etc.... then I would realize, that I was focusing on these pictures and try and move past it, and then continue the process.

This happened about 3 or 4 times, but I recall hearing that you need to just let the pictures flow and not focus on them? huh
This seemed like more of the start to a LD. Which I have never fully experienced. cry

Should I have stayed focused on the pictures that flash past?
Was this more of the start of a LD? If so how do I keep that from happening and move to AP? Or should I have just ran with it LOL?

Sorry I am not experienced with this AT ALL. And I have no clue if I am explaining this correctly.
I am just trying to get a feel for the direction I am on, and see if there are any bad habits I should be putting a stop to off the start rather than trying to change them later on.

Once again thank you for the responses that are to come it is greatly appreciated.

One step forward, two steps back!  sad Yes, unfortunately it "can be" part of the process. It doesn't always have to work that way though.

I can see how that is very true.  tongue grin tongue grin
I will most definitely watch the supplied YouTube video. Thank you for taking the time!!

2 seconds sounds about right when you begin. That's enough chance to get a "sneak peek" and have your excitement blow all your progress, lol. But it does get better with time.

You will learn in time to "ground" yourself to the scenario you find yourself in. But first you need to learn to walk before you can run! Baby steps!  smiley

Yes I am open to "Baby Steps".
LOL after the events I went trough yesterday (as described above). I can see how this process can take some time to get comfortable with all the new feeling and sensations.

I tried again last night as I was going to bed. And for one reason, or another, I was not able to make it as far. I guess it is all part of the process.

Everyone... thank you for all the replys. The feeling in this community is AWESOME!

Have a look at this. Exit Signs and Symptoms.

It sounds like your body was being "desensitized", which is normal and that the last piece to go was your foot. I have this happen often, whereas one part or another of my body will begin to tingle, just before my non physical focus is complete. The change in darkness sounds like you are entering the "void", also know as the 3D darkness. There is a strange change to the depth here and now it is time to start exploring what lies within it. Do not take a sneak peek back at your body though. That will lead to a prompt end to your current session.
This is when you "stay the course" and begin your adventure!  smiley

Thanks for the reply. That makes sence. When I was in the "void" if I was there i got the feeling the I was very small in a large dark room. Is that about the feeling you get?

I apoligize as that is the only way I can explain it. I was there for mabey 2 seconds each time.

What do you guys use to stay there?

Greetings!  smiley

Thank you for the welcome. I am not sure what thread you were reading. I have not posted the thread about the wife yet. But will look at the one you say as I am very curious LOL.

It is all familiar - the foot tingling could be energy sensations, increased awareness of blood circulation, a hallucinated tickle from the mind to test if you are awake.

The darkness thing sounds like the void. It is basically a blank state of consciousness. Usually it has a "3 dimensional" quality about it and the transition is also associated with increased peripheral awareness. It is good success to reach this state, you can do anything from the void.

The hallucination of sounds is pretty common. Sometimes a subtle real world sound will get distorted and your mind exaggerates it into something like this. Other times you may literally see or feel people touching you. You have crossed over to another reality without realising it. I call these experiences mini dreams and they are usually jarring.

I am happy to hear this. Thank you for the reply.

I can say weather I was in the void or not. I was unable to stay there. I went in and out twice. But when I was in that state it was a little frightening. Thus I ended up coming out. I'm not sure why I was jarred out as it felt like a safe environment.

I am very new at this so it is all taking a bit of getting used to.

Hello guys.....

Wanted to post something quick. I had an opertunity to relax and try the process of AP. It just so happend that the house was quiet today. Around 10 am I decided to give it a go. I usually do this at night as it is pretty well the only time I have quiet.
And also FYI... I also use earplugs while I do this.

All I really wanted to do was practice relaxing.

After what felt like 10 to 15 min I felt this odd sensation in the center of my right foot, on the sole of my foot. Almost like a tingle.

Then while my eyes were closed things seemed to get "darker", hard to explain that. It was dark and seemed to get darker?

I then felt another tingle right between my eyebrows and sort of the top of the bridge of my nose.

I say the image of a white object almost looked like a square box. I thought I heard the kids stampeding up the stairs and then I sat up!

Was this a step in the right direction.  I noticed that every time I had a sensation I wanted to get scared and tense up.

Am I on the right track dose any of this sound familiar to you or is my mind playing tricks on me?

Hello Guys & Gals,

I just came across this forum and wanted to sign up. I am just starting this journey and I am extremely excited. I am 30 Years old and have a wife and two beautiful children.

I have heard of OBE’s in the past but did not know I had the ability to experience this amazing journey (Just going off what people say, as I have never experienced one myself) at any time and not have to go through such things as a “Near Death Experience” etc...

I went to search you tube a couple days ago and “Lucid Dreams” came up on my “Recommended”. Which was very weird as I didn’t even know what such a thing was, or how YouTube related it to anything I usually watch). Anyways, this peaked my curiosity so I watched the video. Eventually lead me to Astral Projection. Once I found video after video on this topic I became overwhelmed with… the only way I could explain it is, Hope/Excitement/Love/GREATFULLNESS…

I am excited to start this experience and look forward to hearing from this community as I work through any minor roadblocks that I may come across.

What do you recommend for me starting? I have watched videos, read forms/articles on what to expect and different ways of projection. What is the best way to start should I just jump right in or start trying or get a good knowledge base prior?

I feel like I will have to do this a night time as I have kids and family and it is really the only time that there is next to no noise in my house. If I have an opportunity during the day or morning to relax and focus on projecting I will jump all over it. But I hear it is harder a night. Is there anything you guys can recommend that may help in keeping the mind lucid easer at this time of day?

Thanks you for reading (it ended up being a fairly long into LOL) I appreciate the responses that are going to come and look forward to asking MANY MANY more question.

Also I beleive my wife is able to do this naturally. I will post a thread on this later as why I think this. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and there is a reason YouTube had randomly recommended this to me!!
 grin
