What do you mean by your third eye chakra kicked in?
I'm just curious because I have been starting to meditate daily for about a half hour a day sometimes twice a day. Sometimes within 10 minutes I will get random visions which aren't as clear as day, but I still get a glimpse of them and they are in no way related to what I am doing.
Other times I can meditate for a half hour with none of these visions
Would you consider these visions good or a distraction to my meditation?

I'd say it's a part of meditating.
I'd also call it progress =)

Congratulations!

If tried the same routine with varying results. However I find that if I go to bed and lie downand really try to sleep just like normal but still meditating I can go the furthest in my meditation.

In the beginning I couldn't remember anything when I woke up except that I went to bed. Now I remember when NPR becomes intwined with PR. It's really strange.

All progress is progress I guess, please keep me updated on your development!

All the best

Ok, what exactly do you guys mean by "mind split OBE"?

I'm under the assumption that splitting your focus while projecting isn't really the best idea as it ends up being confusing.
Or am I just not understanding what you mean?

I guess it's when you are aware of both "data streams". I guess it's like when you meditate and feel both sides but with complete awareness.

Just my guess =)

I don't really know of any technique for inducing mind split OOBEs. Shame.

If I remember correctly, Tom Campbell can do it. But then again he's pro Wink

Thank you for your reply chopstickfox!

I think you're absolutely right! My expectations are a hindrence.

I've been trying something different when meditating which seems to have pushed me to the next step. I create a place in my mind where I wander, smell, touch etc.

Eventually my trance becomes deep enough that the barrier between dream and body seem to blend and shift from one to the other. Even though the body remains dominant I'm pushing limits with each session!

I'm so excited!!

It seems that letting go and just running with it is my cup of tea.

Thanks again

I've read it but didn't get all the answers.
Did I miss them?

Xanth, just read the entire thing without stoping.

I'm impressed, impressed and glad!
I've been using the noticing technique without reading about it and I always end up thinking "it feels good but whats the point? I need to climb a rope to phase!"

You destroyed some of my road bumps, that inner voice telling me I'm doing it wrong. That nagging analytical nerd inside my head. Next time I'll let go and just run with it.

Thank you for your work. I'll keep a look out on your homepage and I've followed you on fb.

All the best!

I'll give it a read and post my thoughts in a while.

Thank you!

Hello friends!

I have recently started meditating again after a three year break.

When I did meditate I did it everyday for a year so I have some experience.

It was really shocking when I started again, it only took a couple of times for all the sensations and the same state of mind to return to me. It seems meditation is like muscle memory.

On to my question!

Yesterday I took a nap. I always meditate when I'm in bed and I could feel mild vibrations after 30 seconds!

Later in the evening I tried again but this time tired and I felt them after 5 seconds.

Today I was really sleepy and watched youtube movies about obe(might be significant) in my bed when I again felt them. They where subtle but I felt them.

Questions!

* is this normal for you guys aswell?
*what can I do to increasa the power?
*can I be imagining? The only relaxed part of my body was my legs(when I was watching youtube) and they did feel numb but under all these sessions I've been very much body aware when the light vibrations kicked in.

Sorry for wot and bad english!

Much love

Another question...

When I feel the vibrations it's usually weak ones on about 4 hz. They come really quickly when I start relaxing. Just this day it took less than 30 seconds.

At this stage I'm still very much aware o& my body.

Question: should I try to exit? Should I exercise mentally to increase the "force" of the vibrations or simply go with it and keep looking at the darkness with a blank mind?

This might all be heavily subjective but I'd love some pointers!

Bedeekin, thank you for your reply and I think you're absolutely right!

I'm way too body aware. Each time I drift I immidiately try to feel sensations in my body. I guess I'm worried I might fall asleep otherwise. It will be extremely hard for me to stop "checking in" on my body. As difficult as stopping rational thinking(I'm very right brained).

Maybe that's why you should atempt phasing after sleep and not prior.

Thanks again!

Oh! I have a question!

Last night I meditated before going to sleep(even though this does not produce obe I really like the process with all the strange things that happens) and I got vibrations. I was still very much aware of my physical body but decided to try "phantom wiggling" even though I was certain I'd move my physical body.

That said I tryed and the vibrations tripled in strength!! It's strange because I must have wiggled my physical body, I just must have! Maybe I did both? But surely that should break the vibrations. I feel so uncertain haha.

My question being: have any of you experienced the same? Am I imagining? What happened?

Sorry for my wot Wink

Kind regards

Hello everyone and thank you for responding! It means more to me than you might think =)

I wouldn't say I have a talent for obe as the ones I had as a twelve year old is the only ones I've had and I wasn't that aware but it was a nice point of view on the RTZ.

I'd say I have a difficulty for them as I've practiced(albeit the "wrong/hard" way i.e through meditation) for over a year.

I think I needed my three year break from the subject to loose my expectations and preconceived ideas. I'm back now with a new mindset and this time there is no room for failure or giving up!

The time I found myself in the void is the only time I've been there. I don't know how I got there and didn't know what it was until I heard Tom Campbell talk about point conciousness and "nirvana"

In one months time I'll be back home from my travels and I will be able to dedicate all my time towards succeeding.

I forgot to tell you in my first post that my motivation stems from a deep rooted fear of death, fear is a hinderence I've heard but I do not fear the obe.

I hope to hear from you all again and I'm very thankfull for your tips wether you're a novice or a pro Wink

Hello fellow humans!

If anyone is interested I thought I'd give a brief introduction as to why I'm here.

I had my first obe when I was twelve. It was somewhat unconsious.
I had night terrors and would stay up all night reading donald duck comics just to stay awake. On a number of ocassions I read a comic with a complete story only to realise I was really "passed out" in my bed. It was really strange as it was as real as life itself.

When I turned 19 I discovered projection via a friend and was immidiately hooked. I studied the subject for a year as well as meditated every night.

Vibrations became custom each night when I went to bed, however, no obe.

Eventually my stressfull life forced me to prioritize differently and I almost forgot about obe, until now.

I'm now determined to succeed and I feel I'm close. The trouble last time was too much expectations.

The one thing I have experienced that's worth mentioning is that during meditation I lost awarness of my body. I was completely alone in the void and it felt great.

I'm sorry for any spelling misstakes, english is not my first language.

Looking forward to writing with you all!
