That sounds like a physical/health issue. I'd go see a doctor if it's becoming common. The heart isn't something to take lightly.

I sometimes think people fail at OBE's because their goal is getting vibrations, not actual projection. Keep centered on the goal! Vibrations aren't that important, just a sign post and not everyone will experience them.

The first few times are pretty freaky, yet cool too. My first thought is how different I look than when looking in a mirror. It's much more objective.

Unfortunately, there is no sure fire method. Everyone is different and the only way to learn what works is to try several methods until you find one that works for you.

If you can visualize well, maybe try a method that's steeped in visualization. If you can't visualize well, maybe try one of Robert Bruce's "tactile awareness" techniques.

And, of course, improving concentration & centering awareness will help with all methods.

Sorry, it just doesn't make any sense to me, but hey, I guess that's my problem. Most people just do energy work when they have energy problems, but I guess you deem yours as un-fixable. I'll send some good energy your way. 

We're all a part of the same earth-energy system, taking in the same energies. There is an infinite amount of energy given to us by this system, and everyone has free access to it.

So what's the point of taking it from a little 6V battery when you can get it from the infinite source? If you have the ability to steal it from another person, it should be extremely easy to consciously soak it up from the earth.

The only reason to take it from someone else is to exert power over another, which in turn inflates ego, which in turn feels "energetic", yet comes with a depression afterwards (a leak). That's not the proper energy to be taking in and will have a "draining" effect in the end.

Modern techniques tend to leave it to the individual to bring about experiences on their own, whereas occult societies have specific rituals steeped in worldwide historical religious & philosophical symbolism designed to bring a very particular experience.

I suppose it's the difference between an occult mystic and an arm-chair-do-it-yourself-at-home-AP'er. I've been arm-chair'in it for years.

Just try it. No matter how many people say you can or can't, there's really only one sure-fire way to see if it's possible. And if you can't, keep practicing at it.

Which occult figures are you talking about? The main ones I'm familiar with weren't clergy (that I'm aware of).

Rudolph Steiner's "The Karma of Untruthfulness" explains a lot about 19th & early 20th century occult & secret society history and influences. A must-read if your interested in the history of this kind of stuff.

If it works, I'm sure it does in the same way a mandala works. It has more to do with focusing attention than being a magic OBE circle.
