Ben,
Anything in life comes with a price - if its losing weight, studying for a test, learning how to drive a car. What are the side effects and will it hurt me or propell me? What are the causes of effect, are there any dangers involved etc...
On a percentage of experiences, I would pro bally say that 95% of my experiences are positive, beautiful, breathtaking and enjoyable. The other 5% its inevitable where you will come across entities that are bad and mean harm. I've been in some real tough heart thumping situations where I never thought I would be back. I've had starred the monster in the face as it said to me "take my hand and be a part of us" and have been attacked. But I am still here!
My question to you is this - I was just listening to audio interviews with Robert the Bruce (gotta love the name). He states that people who are under psychic attacks as like him or he's helped. Do you think they are making all that up?

Ben,
I do appreciate the info about the crystals - what side effects are you talking about?
Secondly, you are right about the 17yrs - its a long road for projecting and I do agree with you on alot of what you say. To me its not how many times one projects, but its the quality and what is being learned. I know it sounds like sometimes I come off the man with the experience, but it actuality I still consider myself a novice.
I came across AP back in 1988 who a friend introduced me and I started reading up on it. I pursued it whole heatedly with fire and conviction to see if it was real or not. I did get my answer within less then two months. After that, I tried different methods to see how I was getting out- pyramids, crystals, food, exercise, etc...etc.. But after awhile when I became fluid and I realized it was just 'me' doing all the work.
I do believe to a degree that alot of what I mentioned earlier did help along the way with practice, but it was the work being put fourth that gave me the success. I never followed any kinda of occult, new age or anything of the sorts. Before 1988 I had exp. projections but on a quick small scale and never payed attention. Also, it was the feelings behind it that I did project that it started to come to me.
I've had my exposure to entities, some pleasant and some I wish not to remember. But I do realize and understand in my experience that I'm shown things for reasons. What kinda of b.s. would you say that I need to let go off?
Please be more specific.

During my earlier years at projecting and reading Castaneda, I've been able to exercise a few techniques written. Ex: turning myself into a bird, like a black eagle. Ex: Viewing objects far away and bringing them closer w/o even moving to the object. Ex: Seeing the luminous glow around people, objects, animals from the physical Again, even though Carlos was under the apprenticeship of Don Juan, his writing reflected the western world of the Yaqui Indian sorcery. Earlier in Carlos teachings he was under heavy use of peyote which would break him from the modern day world. I have had the opportunity to read all Castaneda's books. The best one which really stood out was 'Journey to Ixtlan' and 'The Power of Silence'. You can obtain reading material from the following link. Looks like someone took the time and gave brief explanations of the books to read about. Enjoy.. http://www.prismagems.com/castaneda/tvos tvos

Major Tom,
I do recall at times when I would look into the mirror while out of body, I notice a bluish brilliant water color with bubbles rising upward in my eyes. Also, at times I've seen the sparkle of consciousness which wouldn't surprise me since I'm real and aware.
All I know is that I wouldn't want a red eye ball looking at me. I would definitely tuck tail and run!! But anyways, it is a interesting experience about the mouse and the red mouse button.

Teal'c, Welcome to AP and its good to see that you've questions.. Hopefully, I can offer some suggestions. What you need to do is trick your body and your awareness. The best method I can suggest and will take some practice and patience is to set your alarm clock a good couple hours before you awake for the day. Set the alarm clock to go off every 15 minutes for 1-2hours. This is the part that you'll have to be disciplined in and have patience. Its easy to just say "screw it" and turn off the alarm clock completely and go back to bed. During the 15min periods, while you fall back to sleep, imagine yourself like a log spinning around. What usually happens is that your lower physical consciousness transfers to your higher awareness causing the vibrations to occur. There will be no mistake not knowing when the vibrations will hit. Just try to be as relaxed that you can and not to get excited. Since you are still rolling in circles, imagine your whole body rolling right out of the bed and onto the floor. Sometimes, this can be tricky and concerning because its questionable will the physical body truly land on the floor or the astral. Still there's that uncertainty, but time and time again I've had no problems with this. Once you are on the floor and out of body - try to open your eyes slowly to get acclimated to the world around you. Take everything in baby steps and stay within the boundaries of your home or close to outside if you can. You'll crawl at first but after time it will become running for you and then flying. Everyone has their own technique and not one is wrong - what works for some doesn't mean it will work for you. read as much that you can, exercise daily with talking to people in this forum, study different authors, and have fun.... Hope this helps Tvos

gotta love it eh!! well back in the day when I first started to learn about astral projection I was excited, anxious and went around asking everyone if they ever left their bodies.. needless to say my classical guitar instructor replied "yes" and from there we built a great foundation helping each other and understanding more. today, I don't do that much running around town asking people, but more a less with friends, co-workers that I know openly that I can trust without them thinking I'm crazy. in my college days - psychology class we happened to get in the discussion of dreams and I just happened to move the discussion to astral projection. needless to say, I was for weeks explaining, giving diagrams, and answering questions on oobe. got a 'A' in the class.. tvos

I was told by my classical guitar instructor that if you look into the eyes directly of that person you are talking to - if there's a sparkle then its real authentic consciousness of someone else, but if there is no spark then its your sub-consciousness creating the thought form.
i do recall in a projection that I tested this to be so - have you ever tried this or anyone else heard about this theory to test?
