World Religions / Welcome to World Religions! / Re: Native American Religions

DH,
I am very sorry to hear about your loss! My condolences to you, family and the guy with the faulty breaks. I can't not imagine and again, sorry to hear.
So far I am amazed how (in-touch) the Native American Indians are to nature, animals, sun/mon and respect for race and creed. It's very sad to see how the europeans came over and destroyed everything they had. I know it today's world it's different and we can't go around playing the blame game, but this was the product of our ancestors.
My wife mentioned awhile back to me that America (USA) was founded on Christians values. When I replied to her - so killing, rape, murder, forcing people off their lands like cattle, slavery, forcing the Indiains / Mexicans in conforming to the Christian (Organized Church). So this is how the USA was founded and the values you speak of. I wans't trying to pick a argument but it's the truth. If the european settles didn't arrive to the USA, imagine what the world would be like today.
It actually upsetts me to think that how one religious faith practices by "sunday redemption of a offering plate, dominate the world with a bible and dismissing all other religions as a facade to God". I myself am a Christian but I take a wider view of experience and faith which is unfortunate that the church and bible has been twisted, manipulated, and blown out of proportion. It should be used for a guideline for oneself and not to control and instill fear.
This is what I am arriving at when reading all the other religions outside of christianity.

Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to OBE discussions! / Re: Alcohol and OBE Induction

Friends,
One of my OBEs before coming to awareness of astral projection was indeed brought on from too many beers. Make a long story short, thought I was getting up, going to the restroom, all during the OBE. When I had returned, still in the drunken state, I got up and did my business on the floor in the basement where I was sleeping. Yes, there was a mess to clean up the next day, thankfull my brother, at that time knew what was going on and performed the clean-up.
I can remember this event as if it was a week ago, but this took place 25 years past. Again, re-iterarating that the alcohol is a drug, just like Nyquil is and it will not advance you to a clear conscious OBE.
One doesn't have to give up drinking all together, but lessen the intake and social aspect of it. Over-all you will benefit greater and feel accomplishment w/o a crutch to induce this state of awareness.

Psychosoma, Amount of sleep (night before), specific days, time of the experience are very important. I honestly wish that I tracked my stats when I was younger, but didn't. Specific foods don't matter on projecting, I have done a three year study on food - latte's don't help.. I can definitely tell you alcohol will reduce energy, confuse, and weaken the drive. Can one project and drink socially, yes... but the level and degree of the experiences won't be up to par. If you go to bed late and crash to sleep, the attemps at projecting will be at odds of failure. Try going to bed earlier and when you reach the morning hours - that is when success will prevail. Because you are starting to energize, surface from deep rem towards the borderline of awake/sleep trance state. Also, w/o intent and passion for what you want to achieve will not yield results. Focus on one basic and realistic goal what you want to accomplish. For starters, the first time I projected, it was because I wanted to keep reading this OBE book. I had enough drive, desire, and passion to read this book and it did the trick! Patience and not giving up! Tvos

Psychosoma, Have you visited my web site www.invisiblelight.us ? If not, all my data, stats, video, journals, radio interviews are available for download (free). Pay attention closely to the spreadsheet that I created. Reason why I say this, it is my daily log and keeps me grounded, focused on projecting among my web site and helping others. There is a lot more to projecting then "just leaving the body" and I am talking about spirituality, helping others, faith, love, etc.. and booze doesn't yield results, especially what I have been blessed with and experienced! Feel free to contact me! Tvos

Psychosoma, Make a long story short - I was a social drinker for about 10 years. Roughly, two years ago I completely stopp'd drinking to lose weight, health, and primarly to feel better about myself. Within 3-4months later, my energy, interest with projecting starting to flourish. Now, I am able to project 2-3 a week w/o fail and I thank God for showing me the difference between the two. Now, if I could stop drinking Starbucks frapacino's.. I did have a difficult time of projecting while drinking socially. The energy just wasn't there period and drive. You can still project if you drink, smoke pot, take lsd etc.. but it does more harm than good. The greater reward is being clear, conscious and projecting w/o being hindered by drugs! Tvos

Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to OBE discussions! / Re: The problem with the silver cord and the dangers of it

Zorgblar,
Folks, I know that I am coming in on the tail end of this discussion, so my apologies!
Yes, I have seen the chord at different times during the obe. Couple of times seeing the chord connecting to the physical. I also was able to touch and feel the chord itself. It reminded me a lot like a wrapped wire cable, the feel was rough in texture and sharp.
I have also seen the silver chord originate from other people that were sleeping. Normally, when I am OBE I will test the environment, look back at what I am seeing, to validate the scene doesn't change.
If the chord does break, we probably wouldn't be here talking. But I do expect there is more to the silver chord theory, especially when Near Death Experiences have not reported this during their experiences.

To further elaborate and explain #2.
I have been shot, stabbed, torched and burned, fallen off buildings, electricuted, trapped in electrical wires, pinned between cars, choked, met up with dark evil entities, ran over by semi-truck, blasted by tornado winds....
Well, I am still here talking and perfectly fine. Only thing that really effects you during and after the OBE is the mental part. Why did this all happen? To prove that you do not die!

Yesjoryyes,
If you really want to learn how to leave the body, exit and switch vibrations. Physical material objects, tapes, audio, programs can only take you so far or block the way as a mental crutch.
In the begining, I placed a pyramid above my third eye and meditating, stuck my head in a pot of water to see "egyptian hermetics", Focused on body positioning, foods, exercise, if I did right or wrong during the day. In all, it didn't lead no where. This is not to say or put down other ritual beliefs and practices.
It comes down to one thing "intent, patience and if your ready to show up everyday as if you are training for the olympics". There are no short-cuts, fast food reciepes for projecting! To the deepest core of your intent, passion, desire and patience will shine success.

AP Friends, Last few years have been active with radio interviews - discussing OBEs. I will be appearing on a few new shows this upcoming week and next. More welcome to see the schedule for dates, times, web site, radio stations for these. http://www.invisiblelight.us/news.htmI want to give the opportunity to AP members here a chance to ask questions and I will submit them to the producers for the show which in return I will answer. So if you want to know what is my favorite food that helps me project, or have I ever seen the aura, performed validations, what sort of experiments have I conducted. Please fire your questions away. Thank You, Tvos
