Every time I try to project, I experience intense vibrations that usually make me just open my eyes and catch my pounding heart.  Could these exit sensations be assuaged with meditation? 

I seem to have trouble visualizing.  When I close my eyes, and try to imagine something, I see nothing but eternal darkness.  I would concentrate very hard on trying to make something as simple as a guitar appear in my mind (for i am an avid musician, and have been playing guitar my whole life) and I see nothing.  Some suggestions would be appreciated.

I think that the reason you awoke is most likely because you thought of your physical body (whether or not you will be in, as you said).

Sounds like an amazing experience

I have been reading and learning about astral projection for quite some time, and have been making feeble attempts to do so during that time.  I also smoke a lot of pot When I am high up to a certain point, I am fairly certain I can project simply by closing my eyes.  When I close my eyes, I feel intense rising sensations, and the longer I keep my eyes closed, the stronger they get and I feel like I am about to explode.  I usually wimp out around then and open my eyes.  I think this is primarily because I'm unsure whether a normal astral projection will differ from a weed-induced projection, and as I've not had either.......

I personally believe that since getting high relaxes your body, and opens your mind, pot does nothing but assist in astral traveling, and my experiences concur.  What are your opinions?

That whole iguana and periwinkle thing sounds incredible.  I've been trying to project for quite some time, and have read tons on the subject.

How do you set up stuff like that?
