I finished Robert Moneroes trilogy, and unless I misunderstood, he kinda implied that everyone has different homes, different places where their soul was created. Maybe this explains why we have different religions, and why people in general are so different. Maybe someone like Adolph Hitler came from a more predatory "home" while a laid back guy like me came from a more... well, laid back "home." We all have different ideas of a heaven or hell, or maybe we don't even believe in heaven or hell. (I'm not Christian, but I think I have a home out there.) Any other views on this?

Hi Embodied Words

I believe I have a home in the non-physical.  I also think I visit it when I dream.

There is somewhere that I dream of fairly regularly and when I'm on a certain path, I start to remember that this is the "way home".  Whilst I've never actually got there when lucid, I certainly know the way and follow my instincts.  I even take the short cut through a field!  smiley

I also believe that, just as we do in our physical lives, we have friends/family there who are aligned with our beliefs.  Which is a simple way of saying that our vibrations attract others of a similar vibrational 'level'.  This is not only to do with beliefs, but personality, humour and intelligence are players as well.  In my opinion.  smiley

I agree completely! Just like in the physical, you get certain attractions to people you have more in common with, and others you don't.

Can you tell me more about the place you go to when you dream? or is that too personal?

Hi Embodied Words

It's not too personal, although I can't tell you that much - I've never actually remembered the home, only part of the route.

I can tell you that a road bends round to the right and there is a large dirt track off this bend (on the left).  This is the start of the shortcut.  It leads to a field which slopes gently upwards.  I tend to walk up the right hand side of this field.  About halfway up are some tennis courts, again to the right.  At these courts, I take a right turn and walk alongside them.

That's as far as I've got that I've remembered.  I would imagine that I've been home numerous times, but simply forgot the experience.

I do remember one time dreaming that I was walking up the field and the family dog came bounding to greet me.  She had passed away some years before and it's a nice thought that she might already be 'home' waiting for me and the rest of my family to join her.

However, there was one time during meditating where I took a slightly different route.  I call my meditations 'focused daydreaming' and they are similar to what Bruce Moen terms 'focused attention'.  It's where you start with your imagination and see what happens, taking notice of things that are outside of your remit, but also not letting the scenario get too 'silly'.

This one time I was talking to a non-physical friend, Joel, about this place called 'home' and I asked him if he would help me find it.  He said of course and wanted me to describe what I knew about it so far.  I explained and he said, "why don't you continue to the top of the field, rather than go along the tennis courts for a change?"  So I did, there and then, in my mind, in my imagination.  I didn't know what to expect and as I got to the top, the whole scenery opened up before me.

It was very similar to the county of Derbyshire in England, UK.  Gentle rolling hills, farmland, sheep and peacefulness.  I was standing on a plateau looking down on all this and was rather emotional, as I've seen this scene many times before in my dreams - sometimes I've flown over it or what-have-you.

In physical life, I lived in Derbyshire for a few years when I was younger and it still is my favourite county.  There are supposedly 'prettier' places and more dramatic places, but I maintain that Derbyshire has it all for me.  I now wonder if it's because it reminds me of my other home?  smiley

This is an interesting thread , because I have extremely detailed dreams of "homes" of which I have a complete familiarity with, but have never seen in real life.

Many of these "homes" also have tunnels to passageways, (usually sewers or basements)  that lead to other areas' of which I am also familiar with.

However the strange part is I am able to discern in my dreams that I am familiar with these area's, and my knowledge of the area also allows me to navigate through these places, and my mind recollects previous instances in my dreams where certain "landmarks" can be found.   I have vivid descripitions af different areas, several different malls (which can be connected together via tunnels), large vast areas of a forest setting (old roads, cabins, ancient burial sites), houses ("my" house, "my grandmothers" house, "the college dorm" ).

Im not sure at the point, its just that I guess the astral is a relatively concrete place, and each time I visit it, there are definatley noteworthy changes, but the area seems to remain the same.

Also the "tunnels and sewers" in my dream are also rather memorable, and I usually remember what path I take.  There are also instances where I end up in culverts on some abandoned road in the forest.
