I know what you mean PW... The more and more you hear about what happened, the weirder it gets.

I've read of cases where kidnap victims start to grow a bond with their kidnappers and sometimes feel sorry for them.  But something totally different was going on here...  I don't know what though.  I mean, they would go out in public places with a veil over her head and when asked who she was she would give the person a fake name.  And she talks in almost a shakespearish language.  When she was finally found, she wouldn't even cooperate with the cops.  It took them a while to get her to admit who she was... acutally, she never admitted who she was.  The cops kept asking if she was Elizabeth Smart and she would say something like: "whatever think thou"
I mean, it seems like she did not WANT to be found.  
Also, her and the kidnapper was living like 2 miles north of her house for a while, and even went into her hometown a couple times.
I'm sure she could have escaped if she wanted to... but I have a feeling she didn't want to.

I don't know.  It's all pretty weird.  But it's good that's she home with her family again.

It's all stranger than fiction. It's really hard to fathom that she might have been brainwashed sort of like Patti Hearst but it looks like that may very well be the case. I just pray that she is able to make a full recovery and work through the traumatization of the experience. I too would like to know all the details about what actually happened but I hope they respect her privacy and put her interests first. As much as she's been through I think it's better to leave her alone and let her sort it all out right now.

So she went off with two complete strangers? I wonder if she was actually kidnapped or whether she went willingly. Maybe both, sort of. There should be some investigating with the parents if there hasn't been already. That's just messed up. Sounds like she's not sane. Even that strange expression on her face freaks me out.

What the heck is going on?  She was living in the hills behind her house?!  Who's this guy she was with?  Was she drugged, brain washed, trying to escape her parents/family?  And for that matter, what's up with her family?  

I for one would like to know what went on.  What are your thoughts, theories??  I am looking forward to the time when all of this is brought to light.
