Ok I have tried to astral project myself and the first time I tried it I felt the vibration and it scared me and I have never been able to get the vibrations again....why is this? and why can I not astral project? I have so many questions that are not answered and I want them answered....I have tried so many ways...they never work..is astral projection real? Can anybody help me?

I have tried the fence, the rope, the ladder, the ski rope with the boat..the imagining myself being as light as air...everything...i dont know what to do and I need help...

Just relax.

If you don't believe in yourself fully, it won't happen. It's like walking on a tightrope; if you start thinking you're going to fall, you're already over the side.

If you fear astral projection then logically your subconscious is going to try and prevent you from doing it, in order to protect you. You need to calmly face your fears. After the first few times, vibrations aren't really that scary anymore.

im not afraid of it, just that one time..I want the vibrations to come...and I do believe I can do it...I just dont know what your supposed to feel or how to tell if its happening or what....and what are affirmations or w/e? and whats phasing?...

Fear can be very crippling when it comes to attempting anything new you are unsure about and think might be dangerous. For example, if you're afraid to do a backflip, you're more likely to crash it. That's why people get spotters to help supporting them in the air and rotate them, or try it off a height like a diving board to give them more air time, or on a trampoline so that falls would not be painful and they also give you more airtime.

In this case, if you can't find an in-person 'spotter', reading literature on it or maybe finding an IM buddy who knows how and has guided people through it would help. I can't though since I can't AP either, heh.

Read as much as you can on the subject but focus on the constructive stuff.

Saturate your conscious mind with information and create a desire for yourself to AP. (Keep a good balance with your daily responsibilities though)

I first had to understand what was happening to me. (in my case Sleep Paralysis)

In my experience, vibrations isn't always the catalyst so don't spend the entire time looking for it, it will find you *naughty grin*

YES YOU CAN ASTRAL PROJECT, WE ALL ASTRAL PROJECT but you just weren't aware of it then.

Read through the posts in the sections: Permanent Astral Topics and Astral FAQs. Those two sections are packed with posts on methods, techniques and common experiences. I suggest all new members struggling with OBE or phasing read through them.

Find a technique that appeals to you, the commit to daily practice of it for at least a month before deciding it isn't working. There are a bunch of techniques because different things work better/worse for different people. The only way to tell what works for you is through trial and error. But skipping different techniques every other day will yield nothing either. You need to be consistent with a method before determining if it works for you.

If you have any specific questions as you begin using techniques, post your questions in either the OBE Discussion, if that's a method you are attempting, or the Astral Consciousness section if you are trying phasing.

thanks for the advice, but I need to find somebody I can talk to about the subject and that can help me..like a trainer or something ya know...somebody I can talk to on the phone or on aim or in person...somebody to help me out.

Actually, you don't "need" to find anyone to teach you. This is something that's very easy to learn on your own.  cool

I don't think anyone here has had anyone teach them as you are requesting...although I could be wrong. The vast majority of members practice on their own, post any specific questions/issues they are having, then other members help them out as best they can. I hope you at least give it a try, since I'm not sure what kind of luck you'll have finding a 'teacher.' I don't know of anyone that teaches this stuff.

Nah i am posting this incase some one else needs this info

i was looking at your i cant AP topic and i have an idea

this is a back door to AP threw luicid dreaming it works really well if you do it right but dont beat yourself up if it doesnt work

i know this is weird but lets say you fall asleep then wake up in the midle of the night (warning donot do this if it is a nightmar/bad dream)and you are still tired close your eyes before 5 seconds are up (because your mind erases images in your head and refreshes them with new ones) remember the last seen in your dream doesnt have to be every thing just a portion of your surrounding and try to recreat that.  you will fall into a half sleep because you are tire relaxing and keeping your mind ocupied when you think you are in a lucid dream try to foccus on the thought of astral projecting(leaving your body) dont complicate it just think off the thought and you should pop out of the lucid dream into and AP good luck and please tell me if this works k
