Thanks man, I feel with each one I'm tapping into something a bit deeper. I'm curious as to where my next one will go. I've never approached drawing in this way, so it's sort of surprising to me.

Finished another one. I think this one is the last of my "spring series" - mainly because all the flowers on my property are starting to droop. This was inspired by a dogwood in my front yard. It was the most pleasurable one to work on so far.

Awesome, because that's kind of what I had in mind when I started. I took a picture of my dogwood tree thinking of Japanese paintings of blossoms, kind of like this:

The other main idea I had was 2 large columns, set up like a stage, where the blossoms are being "presented". In contrast to Japanese folk art, the columns were inspired more by HR Giger.

I guess this would not be considered standard art but my abilities with paint or pencil are extremely limited but give me a hammer and a very hot fire and I can forge steel
