Glad the piccies were liked, for qui-gon and drinsomno - a couple more...[

]...unfortunately I dont have many pics from when we climbed kilimanjaro, that was......but they're mostly back home and we didn't have the digi back then. Shame. Yeah, been some breathtaking places, we dont tend to go on standard holidays!
Uumm, falkland islands! I used to live there, for like 3 1/2 years, although only over in the holidays. Also got lot and lots and lots of pictures of penguins, rockhoppers are just the coolest as they bounce from rock to rock...

I'll do the rest as links, so I dont have to cut them down or worry about making this page unnecessarily wide.
This is from the Temple of Aphrodite in eerr.....hhmm.....turkey I think. That small figure on the right is me, left my mum, which gives you some idea of the scale. These big stadiums, in this shape, are the old greek empire way of doing things - they were so big that sometimes they would fill them with water and have naval battles in the middle! In the foreground is the round track, half seperated off in Roman time, as they never used the whole size of amphitheatres like this.

http://www.bath.ac.uk/~en0rab/Me/tiahunaco.JPGIn the background is a stone statue figure, through the doorway. Behind and below is a recessed area below ground level. Whats really amazing are the faces carved into the rock in this area, as some of them, and the statue in the background, and especially the small statuette in the museum I unfortunately dont have a photo of, are eerily similar to the Moai statues on easter island....
Temple of Zeus:

].
Btw if anyone had any preconcieved ideas of what I looked like, bring it on!!!!!
enjoy [
