I am in complete agreement with everything except the need for concern. There is no need for us to participate so actively in the negative things in the world at this time. It is likely to dump energy into them in a way that makes them stronger.

You know what? I think if we made a couple stickies for aspects of the war, then people could post there and not have to post new threads about an old subject. I am not as concerned with the war at this point as I am with what's happening to our country here at home. It is here that the idea of having this war has originated. It is here that is our homes and it is also here that the issues of the major changes are occuring without the consent of the American people. Someone here (in the US) needs to stand up to Bush and show him that we do not tolerate incompetence in our leaders. I think the issues of our country is where the focus should be, not in some distant battlefield. We can stop the war only by focusing on the issues at hand in our country. The Media is being used by the government to brainwash the American people into believing Bush has a justifiable reason for his war-mongering.
Anyway, sorry for rambling. I think that if we're going to talk about the war, we should relate it to the subjects for which this forum was established, such as what the war's spiritual impact is on us and on other people. Personally, what I see in America is a majority of confused individuals, most of which are lost spiritually. They do not know which way to turn. I remember when I was attending church services in high school how empty I felt inside. Everytime I had a question, I was afraid to ask it because I felt that the church leaders would judge me for asking the question. I knew that this could not be right, so I stopped attending church masses. In fact, I stopped going to church altogether. Now when I look at people who do go to church, I wonder what it does for them, what they get out of it. I did not benefit spiritually from going, and I don't see how others would. Maybe they don't and they just don't realize it. Or maybe they do and I'm missing something. Either way, I choose not to go to church because I don't think that God wants to communicate with me through it. I think he has something else in mind.
Now I look at this war and I wonder, where are most people spiritually? I'm not talking about people on this site, I'm talking about people in general. What do they see and feel? Are they really content with believing what Bush is telling us? What about life in general in this country?

Well, tough luck man...there are more than a dozen different forums here and the only one with "a lot" of posts about war and other current events is this one.
When hundreds of people start dying and the world is at warm or at least a large part of the world, guess what...people are going to talk about it.

It was just a thought, no need for anyone to get ticked off or aynthing. As far as the church thing you talked about goes ender Wiggin....I know what you mean and thats a problem that I ran to in my younger days as well. In my mind if you can find god in your own way, more power to ya, because I think alot of church's have gotten away from what they were started for. Most of them actually.

Don't worry, I'm not "ticked off"...in fact I too have been trying to avoid the topic, but you know what I mean, people are going to talk about this for a long time. With that said, I hope it all ends ASAP so we can move on.

Amen to that P.W.!!!
I was amused to here one "nice" side effect of this war -
The local video libraries are making a fortune because of people who are sick of turning on the TV only to find ongoing news about the war on just about every channel.
Sorry, side-stepped a little there, but I agree that less posts about it, and leave it to one or two stickies would be a good thing.

DEAR GOD I can't take it anymore. I come here to talk about and larn what I can about sprituality and energy work, and astral stuff, and lately all I see in every forum is posts about "war" and "end of times" stuff. I don't wanna seem like a bastard with this post, cause I do respect that it is heavy on alot of peeoples minds, but can we get the forums back to what it was designed and meant for? I think all of us would be happier, and would have a better time reading and responding to posts that are not trying on the mind, heart and soul.
