Slowed time

Does anybody else get those random moments where time and everything around you slows down? Or is that just me?

It's called perception. 

The length of time doesn't change... it's a constant.  Your perception of the length of time is what changes.
It's entirely internal.

It flies when you're having fun and goes slow when you're watching the clock. And the older you get, the faster it goes.

When you're walking to the kitchen, you're usually not staring at a clock.  It's just perception dude.
Not everything has a metaphysical explanation to it... actually, 99 times outta 100, things are quite easily explained by something very normal.

When I was a kid I was up a tree with my mate.

I fell.

In the moment I started falling time went into super slow motion. Somehow I managed to pull my mate out of the tree and spin us over in mid-air so that I landed on him to break my fall.

A person breaks your fall quite well. He wasnt very happy:-D

I've spoken to people who've noticed time slowing down when about to get knocked down by a car.

When you're walking to the kitchen, you're usually not staring at a clock.  It's just perception dude.
Not everything has a metaphysical explanation to it... actually, 99 times outta 100, things are quite easily explained by something very normal.

The brain while under stress like that will slow down your perception so that it can observe better, so to speak, so it can react better

I was playing hockey at my public school's rink when I skated in front of the net. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a puck rising toward me. Clang! Stars and the whole bit. All in slo mo. Just to add another dimension, my mother claimed that my dead brother came to her and told her I was hurt but OK at about the same time it happened. Good scar.
