I have read and heard a lot of dichotomic information regarding this sect in Bali which specializes in some purportedly potent energy techniques, and many discussions have brought up this group in the past weeks.
From what I have read, people seem to have mixed opinions about them- those who are distanced seem to take their claims as ridiculous, whereas most of the adherents, for whatever reason, claim that the discipline is legitimate and extraordinary. I would tend to agree with the first group, as the videos that have been released consist of members jumping up and down, making hissing noises, and apparently struggling to master immense forces in consternation. Another set of videos (I must admit they were hilarious) show a demonstration of a technique used to fell foes from a distance, where the practitioner is charged by wailing maniacs, shouts ARRRGGGHHHH!!!, and all the assailants fall to the ground, exactly as a child would if you asked him to pretend he was being hit with a magic blast, and then go into spasms on the floor.
Although these videos are not very convincing, I would expect a cult to have more sophisticated tools of deception, and so I can not 100% rule out that something incredible may be behind all of this, though I have many doubts.
Does anyone here have any irrefutable information about this group of sages / charlatans?
