The whole course of the movie i kept thinking "wtf that's not how it is" They were correct as what astral projection in general is. " where the spiritual body leaves the physical body" i think that's the only thing i can call correct in the movie..

I agree.  The separation by the dad was quite accurate.  and it is funny that he was sceptical at first and when he separated he thought he had merely stood up from his chair.  That what I keep saying to everyone...when you separate,  try not to imagine movement...actually do it as though you are moving physically...

But then again, even though the rest is exaggerated and made to scare you, it makes a good horror.  It does have its good points.  The little boy and his drawings that nearly made the dad cry.  That was sweet.

I didn't really like the movie, these days horror movies suck genitals, What i would have done was just shove my left hand in the entities chest. Entities don't like light, so when i shove my hand in their chest and fill it with light it blows em up. Fun way to kill tbh

Insidious is a direct rip off of poltergeist. I enjoyed the movie. I actually had my first intentional astral projection two days after seeing it in theaters. but yes, very inaccurate. If they accurately depicted Astral Projection they wouldn't have a horror movie.

If anything they won't even be interested in it.  They will avoid it altogether if they think there are malevolent beings in non-physical realms waiting for people to project so they can take over their bodies.

yeah. if i thought astral projection was like that movie, there would be no way I would partake in it. ahah. I actually woke up in sleep paralysis once and imagined the man with the red face just for the hell of it to see if I could make him appear in my room.

Btw, I agree. They should have given a clearer picture about Astral Projection. I guess it's just a horror no different to Nightmare On Elm Street and they had to change a few things...

Actually, the Freddy Krueger films have more class. It was the one film that popularised the continuum false awakening phenomenon, and, therefore, deserves more credit.

You guys seen the remake? It is quite realistic of lucid dreams. The fiction elements, however, are in the depiction that dream worlds can affect the dreamer in waking life when Mr Krueger is involved.

In some ways yes, but in other cases no. If you kill someone in their dream of course they are not going to die in the physical realm. But you do things like, teach them to skateboard, than they'll wake up with a better understanding of skateboarding.
