Pretty straight forward question. What do you's think of using ego to bodybuild and gain self-confidence from a spiritual point of view? I guess it's a question of the pros outweighing the cons I tend to think here. But I am open to another way of seeing it.

my opinion
nothing wrong with exercising to get fit
body building i find a strange past time its kind of taking the body image to the other extreme alot of people get obsessive and keep going until they look unnaturally big 
i would say ignore your ego and just try to be comfortable with yourself, you can exercise eat healthy and enjoy life
being built like a brick outhouse isnt necessarily going to make you any less self conscious learning to love yourself for who you are is the key

I think you should use the power of your ego to motivate you to get into shape. Getting into shape in itself increases your self-confidence enormously as you take more pride in yourself for getting ripped, you'll feel great, you'll look great, and all the girls melt for a guy in great shape

I go to the gym and yes let's say so you need to activate a little bit of that animal part Cheesy you can't just stnad there and ah peacefully and relaxed lift 40+ kg Cheesy there is a little agression and little part of your animal nature needed...

Now about confidence for most people and for me actually good body and good clothes give me confident even tho i am not really afraid of judgement it's just does this way of thinking was insterted in me from childhood like in most people i don't think there is anything wrong with that, nothing is bad if u dress well and have good body ( It's healthy, you will feel actually better and it's something u need to put much energy in and you will be proud in the end, ofcourse if you train correctly and eat healthy either way there won't be much success)

If you are new to gym (i don't know) here are some tips which i wished i had when i started because there is much really wrong information in internet you will see

- Drink a lot water
- Make a good diet ( 80% is diet , 20% is training )
- If you want to loose fat loose more callories then you get
- Do trainings correctly and learn Exhale and Inhale in correct time, sometimes you may do 6 pack excerise and you feel that your chest is working not 6 pack xD that means u aren't doing correctly


I don't know maybe you are more experienced but anyways for you if u don't know or for other members who will start gym this is a good little info xD

What exactly is your goal in this?  Are you looking to impress people?  Are you looking to make yourself feel better?  Are you looking to just get healthier?
