hmm so what i wanted to ask here...

You've all studied a portion of your life to end up with a nice job,nice house etc..They you found out about astral projection(some even while schooling) and of course,it doesnt matter much because youre still gonna have to get a job to survive..

So what did you end up with?what is your job i mean...
Are you satisfied with it?How does it fit in with AP and other OOBE exp.i mean does you job tire you so much you are unable to do anything else,or is your job fine(like Xanth's,couse he can try ap during his breaks  im so jelly )

i guess what i wanted to ask is are you satisfied with your job(if you have one)concerning OOBE,spiritual life quality..not salary and stuff like that.

I do realise its a pain in the ass to read my posts becouse of my crappy way of writing..sorry guys

No job anymore.  Was laid off a couple months ago.
I'm stressing to find work just like everyone else.

So yeah... my job right now, finding a new job, sucks.  lol

Not quite everyone else. I quit work last August so that I wasn't distracted by it as I sought to pursue my spiritual avenues. I suppose that from time to time I permit myself a little stress related to dwindling resources but I continue to feel that I need time all to myself and my dog.

When I did work, I was usually fortunate enough to work in near-isolation, such that I could inhabit my own mind to an extent more than is typically available. So long as deadlines and quality expectations were reached, my time was my own.

I started my meditative life at 18, before a career, and took some risks (job wise) against the advice of everyone I knew based on my intuition, and don't regret it a single bit. I don't see my spiritual life separated from daily life or anything else, it's all one unit all the time. I don't need breaks for spirituality, it's always happening, plus a morning and an evening meditation. Anyone can do it. As cheesy as it sounds, follow your heart.

I'm out of work as well just now, unfortunately.  I had a couple of really stressful jobs last year and although I suffered badly from tiredness and stress some of the ways I got relief was by eft, meditation, energy work and trying to ap.  I don't find myself much better off in terms of pursuing esoteric stuff while out of work because of the pressure to find a new job and some income.

Hi,
Was self employed and doin fine but the law prevents me from doing it anymore. So the place I worked took me on full time. Losing loads of cash but security is there.
 50+ hours a week with 5 or so hours sleep most nights isnt helping with the AP thing.
Hope James bond gets hired the stuff I do would be up his street.
No questions please or it will self destruct.lol

When I was 4 years old I remember attempting to fly, walk through walls etc. I also remember always asking "god" to reveal himself to me so I knew he was real
When I was 9 years old I would say things like "I want to practise waking up inside my dream" theres alot of other "weird" crap I used to think about actually....to do with death, afterlife, god, existance etc.

Anyway I was led to all of this by sleep paralysis which went crazy during my pregnancy and after my baby was born. (I had my baby at 20years old by the way)
before then I was an administrator.

Now my son is 18months old and I am desperate to find a job. I am not having much luck but I have been trying positive affirmations lately (I never would have tried that before all of this)
I have also signed up in a metaphysics class but aside from all that my physical life comes first.
Prioritys for me are
1) my son
2) relationships
3) maintaining my household and job hunting
4) self discovery through AP and doing my own private study etc

@Ident Its a nice that you trust your feelings so much that you'd quit your job,even in this hard-to-find-job times..  spiritual development is important! Did you ever thing about how you made someone really happy by opening that working position?

@007 Too many earthy distractions to try and develop spiritually dont you agree?all the bills to pay,stuff to do,and to work your arse off all day just so you could do that all again...

           Hope it works out for you too,2012 is the year of change,where we will supposably get a third DNA strand,boost our psychick powers and stuff,so im sure it'll work out!

@urshebear Its so awesome you remember what you did when you were 4 xD I think you were a very spiritually aware kid  My cousin has the same problem,so i can sort of feel for you.

As i read this (which was pretty late couse i cant reach my pc) i was pretty sad to hear its not going that well..

So what did you end up with?what is your job i mean...

I don't think I did things as others did.  I had lots of spiritual experiences when young so everything tended to 'fall into place', school and to a certain point, work.  After many years in school (I studied lots of different things because I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to do) I ended up in the electronics field and worked in it for around twenty years, and then got pregnant, and quit working.  After my son was born, I decided not to go back to the same job I had, so I decided to do volunteering and the occasional weekend job (at my old work while it still existed).  Then it went away, sold to another company, you know the usual 'job went overseas' type of thing.  But it was fine, because I already was out anyway.

Then I started to change my circle of friends, and started to get more involved in metaphysical circles, and once again things started to land on my lap, manifesting-style.  I got a small part time job at a metaphysical bookstore and two years into it got offered a position as a minister's assistant.  I did that for around three years.  Meanwhile I have also worked part time at a home job, doing computer and bookkeeping stuff.
Around three years ago the church job went away and I have since worked from home, which so far has been ok.  Most of the time.

So I have lots of time to dedicate to my inner pursuits, although I have to watch myself, because I tend to withdraw from people if left alone too long.

I work about fourteen hours a week stocking and cleaning a small grocery store.  My "other" job is to be a stay-at-home dad with my 18-month son.  He certainly doesn't help much with projecting, as he is quite fussy and still wakes up multiple times during the night.

I'm thinking about finding full-time work so that my wife can stay home.  We have another baby on the way, and her job is starting to stress her out (paraprofessional at an elementary school). 

Maybe I'll go to college one day...
