I've read that bismuth is helpful for astral travel(do google search). Anyone tried this or other crystals? undecided

Never tried Bismuth, but I used to meditate with a candal in the middle of a big piece of Amythest geode (before my now Exgirlfirend stole it) its supposed to open your mind to higher states of consciousness, Personally I think that using crystals is more psycological than anything else... in other words, if you think it will help you, then it will.
