How do I get my guide?

From what I know you don't get a guide by yourself, they are assigned to you and are always watching over you.  If you ever AP then you should shout for your guide.  It also pays to get them to verify that they are your guide.  This can be done by asking a simple question.  

*Note this isn't taken as a religious statement*  

Ask them if they beleive that Jesus is the savoir, the negs will avoid a question like this and the positive spirits will gladly anwser without hezitation.  Even if you don't believe in God it is still a good question to ask and from what I have heard Mustardseed has had alot of success with this.  I have used it myself on the two spirits that I know and they didn't avoid the question.

Last week when I heard Sylvia Brown on Coast to Coast AM she said all you need to do in order to contact your guide is just close your eyes, envision a nice, calm, soothing, relaxing place, and then ask your guide to come out of the shadows, and that they will. Then you can talk to them.

It's worth a try, I suppose.

No offense but this is only relevant if one is a Christian. To some this is meaningless. If you are a Christian and it makes you feel better to ask, then by all means go for it.

You have atleast a shred of intelligence, use it. Do not be totally accepting at first. Like all relationships, let it develop, let trust build. Unless the entity has less than honorable intentions it should be understanding of this.

I have read about similar exercises. Though I would suggest not expecting something as dramatic and an entity suddenly appearing, pulling up a chair, and start chatting. I am not saying it would not happen like that, but from experience it is usually more subtle.

Fallen Angel you are right.  I at first didn't ask them and just talked, they were nice.  You can also look at Tayesin, a guardian he talks to he mentioned this and they replied about it.  I didn't want it taken as a religious thing, because I am not that religious at all, but it has shown results.  Although one of the spirits showed a little contempt for the religion itself and not Jesus.  Even if you aren't a Christian a question similir to this is still a good question to ask.  I hope that you meet your guide soon jc84.

But wouldn't that be visulization? And yes I am Catholic.

I never had a OBE or a AP. How do I go about accouring (geting) a guide?
