I am a superhero...and I have an idea.

Greetings.

I am a member of the Real Life Super Hero Project. We are a ninprofit organization of individuals who dress up in costumes to help attract attention to the causes we fight for. Some focus on charity work, activism, and others focus on crime fighting, and some even work along with their local law enforcment agencies. Anyway, lately the RLSH Community has been pretty disorganized and there's a lot of fighting amongst them, so I left the mainstream forums to do my own thing. I see the world around me and feel that I can't possibly help them on my own, and the movement isn't a good companion, and so I decided I'd try to work on learning how to astral project. I have an idea; a vision of sirts, as detailed below.


While astral projecting, to my understanding, if you learn how to control your vibrations you can be perceptable to other people; this would help give people a symbol and inspire them to be their own heroes. Also, while astral projecting, no physical wepaon can hurt you. For example, if I saw a mugging, I could affect the physical and get the victim to safety, but if the mugger shot me, the bullets wouldn't affect me, and then from there I'd just leave. My mission is solely to protect the innocent, not punish the guilty, because I feel that's a job better left to the police. Also, while astral projecting, i can go places where I ordinarily couldn't, ANYWHERE. For example, I could astral project to DC and expose governmental corruption conspiracies and inspire people to rise against this corrupted system that has grown so far astray from what our founding fathers had in mind. I could astral project to the slums of the worlds largests cities and uncover plans by organized crime officials and captains of indistry and then phone in an anonymous tip to the police which will lead to them busting the bad guys plot. If there's a missile headed towards America and I'm able to project quick enough I could fly up there and interefere with the elctronics system and land the missile safely in the ocean. Basically, if I can learn and master astral projection I can be a much better and affective hero than I would be if I were simply walking the streets where I could be hurt or killed on any given day. And, when astral projecting, I could help not only America but other countries as well, such as Iraq, and other third world countries. I feel if I can learn to master astral projection than I may actually have a chance at changing the worl for the better and inspiring others to go above and beyond what they currently believe is possible and instigate a revolution of peace. Anyway, this is my idea, and I am hoping to find some good info here. Thanks for listening!

Hi Overman, and welcome to the forums!

Those all sound like good intentions, but it isn't really like that...

For one, if it is possible to affect the phsyical at all, you can really only affect the subtlest of changes. It is not really possible, as far as anyone here I have interacted with would lead me to believe, that you could go around stopping crimes in real time- that is certainly beyond me. In reality, you can't really do all of those things as one person... it just isn't feasible, or at all realistic with regards to what projection actually is.

As a human society, it is just not possible for one person to solve every problem our culture has. It took lots of people to generate all those problems, and it can and should take many to solve them.

But don't be discouraged! You can still do many of the things you are setting out to do with projection! But it will take serious time and discipline, and you can't expect to do magic overnight. If you adjust you expectations slightly, you can still acheive great things!

Thanks for the feedback; I'm still learning about projection.
So it isn't possible to affect physical things when projecting? Dang, I thought it was all like a matter of will power?
Anyway, what would be realistic?
Oh, lol, and I didn't mean to sound like I was going to try and save everyone and stop every crime; I feel that would be impossible, (and that's a word I use very rarely, lol), I just want to be able to do as much as I can, and as of now I feel there's more that I am capable of, and I am hoping that porjecting will help me get in a better position to help people.

Well... not impossible, but terribly improbable is all!

I am also one of those that suspects any number of wonderous things could be possible for a person who attains a certain level of clarity and a profound amount of discipline and control... I would also extend that to what can be done in the projection environment. That said, there are many here who have practiced projection for decades, and if they have attained the abilities you are talking about, they are not talking!

So Maybe if you were like... Yoda or something, lol, it might be possible, but if you got to that point, you might find yourself focused on different things entirely.

While I have heard instances of people having minor effects on the physical environment, the main value of projections for most is personal discovery, exploration, and growth- if these interest you, you are still well-served with pursuing projection!

Yeah, I'm totally interested in learning more about myself.
I do a lot of meditation and self reflection, and I see a therapist because I feel everyone should have someone outside of their personal lives to talk to openly with. It helps a lot, (a lot of messed up stuff happened to me when I was a kid. Well, more of a kid; I'm seventeen today). Thanks for the feedback!

 I wish it was really that easy. But, I believe that just thinking like this makes a difference. For now though the Super Hero saving the day will likely have to stay in our dreams. We have a guy in St. Cloud Minnesota that dresses up like superman everyday and waves to people as they pass in their cars. If anything he certainly is making a lot of people's days brighter.

Yeah, I don't expect training myself to accomplish my vision is going to be easy. It may not even be possible, but I am going to give it my all and see where it takes me.

A bit off topic, but out of curiosity, are these some of the people associated with the documentary "Superheroes"? I found it to be very compelling and didn't know groups of people like this existed before seeing it.

 No Overman, that's not him. He also will jump back and forth between costumes. Batman is another one you might see him in, probably on the day he has to wash his superman outfit.
