Author Topic: I'm high without drugs  (Read 7498 times)

I've managed what I could only dream of.

By completly letting go (which is the only way I can describe it) I've self-induced an altered state of consciousness which feels very similiar, if it is not actually the same as what you get by smoking Cannabis Sativa and what is usually called "head high" or "buzz" and I love it. In case you might ask, the body "stone" is not included.
I have yet only smoked pot for like 2 weeks, and that was about 6 weeks ago.
What I'm experiencing is possibly the alpha state, can someone confirm that for me? Atleast The alpha state is associated with pot.

This is not the theta (or so) state that I would usually experience while meditating, it is much more a state of consciousness that I could be in, in everyday activities.

What I feel now is so mind-relaxing, the lower tense-emotions don't reach me and time does not matter, boredom is apparently not part of this state.

Why am I writing this?

Well, I want to testify that it's possible to get high without the use of external chemicals. When you begin to shut down the brain barriers that have so long been programmed into you by conditioning mechanisms, and lot of bad influence seems to come from our societal way of living, then you're doing the same as chemicals such as THC do and you can go even further than these drugs can take you, i believe.

You open the doors.

I used to have dreams of trying drugs I've never tried before and would wake up feeling the effects if I had taken that drug (Based on information that could be found online or testimonials)

I can assure you this is happening in the waking world  grin

I have hardly recalled any dreams for the past 2 days.

I don't recall any drugs either, the only even remotely but hardly possible reason could be organic apple cidar vinegar with traces of alcohol, however the alcohol experience is way different than what I was "on".
PS: I'm on it again and the last time I drank the organic ACV was yesterday evening.

I self induce it by really letting go of every bit of physical-attachment (bahavioral patterns, paradigms etc.) as I would describe it, and then 'realize' everything around me as being a dreamlike virtual reality of itself.

It would then kick in after a while and last until my mind-grid comes slinging back on me.

When I walked outside it actually felt like my astral body was hovering over ground just a few centimeter.

I'll say that the altered state of consciousness that you can induce on your own is MUCH better than anything any drug could provide.
You're experiencing it all yourself with unclouded eyes.

Has anyone tried I-Doser?
Looks like another generic BBeats program... nothing special.
I'd suggest www.bwgen.com ... it's a program co-developed by Robert Bruce.

I'm not suggesting that this is what is happening, but am throwing it out there in case, and I may not be completely correct. But it is my assumption that it is not a good idea to bring a meditative/trance state into your regular everyday life, as it could possibly throw you out of balance in regards to physical awareness/perception as well as on a psychological level.

A meditative state is for meditation and the physical world should be perceived with physical consciousness.

Has anyone tried I-Doser?

I have. It's all right, and while I've experienced some interesting states from using it, there are far better binaural beat programs out there (I use MindStereo almost every day because you can play anything you want, including music, and still get the brainwave technology, though some beats will make certain music sound kinda weird). I think I-Doser's descriptions of their programs are fanciful at best, though I do like the French Roast (basically a binaural program with pink and white noise to induce beta brainwaves and "wake you up").

man, my thoughts are spinning when i'm reading this. i think you're about to find something beautiful or have already found it.

before i tell you how i call this, please tell a little more about your feelings. do you have a sense of feeling home, feeling complete? does this sense get lost when you're not in this state anymore? has your view on life and your problems changed even when not in this state? has your normal state changed in any way?

What you describe is what I experience when I manage to establish a connection to The Source which when lucky, lasts a few hours at best because this world is so polluted.
I can say for certain that this state helps me to connect since it is basically about letting go of parts of the lower-self and moving within.
It also helps me to ease up and get rid of all the drama. Music becomes more enjoyable and compulsions cease.
As I said, it's best comparable with what I feel happens on Cannabis but without all the adverse side effects.

I also feel that it was shown as a gift for me to see that I don't need the help of external substances to go where I want to go.

This truly is a gift, man. I feel happy for you!

Basically what you experience there is your true nature. Drama stops existing, because it's an illusion. You feel home because YOU ARE HOME! Smiley The need to achieve something stops, because you don't feel like there's anywhere to arrive. Etc etc etc, you know how it feels. Why am I even telling you? Smiley

At the moment you are given brief looks at your true nature and will probably fully realize it soon enough. At the moment you say that you have to "establish a connection". One day you'll realize that you've never been disconnected and this will be your enlightenment Smiley

LUCKY YOU! Smiley

Hey Stookie, don't the descriptions of Tiny sound like enlightenment to you? To me it sounds like Tiny is about to become completely sane, but you think he's onto something potentially dangerous. WHY? Smiley

He said on another thread: "My idea is not to take Cannabis every day and forever, but to use it as a starting-boost and end up learning to let-go naturally and no longer needing the substance to get there."

I guess that's it... lol. But I'll let Tiny answer for himself.

I know Carlos Castaneda was a renowned psychic and he got his start using psychedelic drugs. After a while, however, he didn't need them. He wrote some extensive texts on how to be a strong psychic without drugs, but none of them seem to work (or make sense). I think his mind just learned how to use psychic abilities on its own after using enough drugs

I wouldn't like to overrate this. I'm just learning to take back control over the mind, which society has stolen from everyone.

I probably should've called this thread "the benefits of lowering your brainwaves in everyday life (w/o using pot)" instead  smiley.

You're very curious aren't you.

I rather not respond to not derail this thread.

I don't suppose you could lead us through the steps you take in meditation that lead you to this "high" could you?  I've personally never used drugs, I'd like to try pot.  I was pretty cool with the idea of acid a while ago, but then I met a dude who had one bad trip almost ten years ago, was perfectly normal before that but has basically been permanently screwed...  He's just really messed up.  I'd rather not have that, I'd still like the "high" or trip though...

Well basically I start out by fooling my mind by pretending that I'm really stoned. I begin lowering my eyelids and start staring, then I would automatically begin "sinking" into my third-eye chakra which activates strongly at that point. Next my brainwaves slow down considerably (enabling for much deeper thought) and I can realize at that point the new state of mind as seperate from the normal. It takes continual effort to counter-act the mind which tries to kick me out of it once in a while at which points I have to remind myself to let go pyhsically and mentally and not react to those impulses.
At present whenever I induce this state of mind it takes up a lot of energy but this might just be due to the energetic conflicts inside of me.
It's somewhat different than meditation and I can't really describe how. In meditation I start shifting away from physical reality but in this state I don't and I am still very much connected to my surroundings but in a different way I would say.

It's always a very pleasant experience and for some reason also works as an amazing shielding against negative energies.

Hmmmm...  While I think I could probably try this a lot better if I actually knew what being stoned felt like, I think I'm going to try this, maybe I'll get some fun results...  I wonder if "meditation" will show up on the drug tests athletes take at my school  cheesy

Are you sure you're not inducing this?: http://www.panic-anxiety.com/depersonalization-derealization/

I've experienced feeling "high" before without using cannabis, and it turned out to be that. It was like all of a sudden my perception "shifted", things felt foreign or distant, my emotions other then fear where suppressed. Felt like was here but in another dimension. Lasted like a day.

I'm sure there are many ways a spontaneous de-programming can occur, leaving the person in a hightened state of awareness, severe trauma or persistent anxiety being potentials I would say.
I choose to try and do this by lowering my brainwaves.

Actually fear is the thing that diminishes most when I induce my more or less special alpha-like state.
Recently I tested this by taking a walk through the forrest at night, 2 hours long.

I really like some of the "symptoms" they list because that's how I wish I would always feel and everyone should feel aswell.
