Sounds silly, but often I feel as though somebody is literally pulling me out of the bed by my feet. If I relax, I can actually feel myself being pulled under the covers. Usually when this happens, some sort of OOB effect happens.
Im just wondering, whether it is just the astral body naturally seperating, or whether it is an actual 'someone' pulling my astral body to help with seperation. Either way, its pretty bizarre, and it often freaks me out!!

I used to get pulled up, not down. It was terrifying until I figured out what was happening.

Not silly at all. The first time I asked for help, I got just that. By someone grabbing my ankles and having a yank. Scared me sh*tless. It hasn't happened since and to be honest, I'm glad... Not sure if I could ever get used to invisible hands pulling on me.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this website and new to all things psionic/metaphysical etc. (well kind of new. I always knew about and believed in them, but never took anything too seriously). The title of the post caught my attention I really felt the need to share my experience. Here it is:
I frequently have sleep paralysis and know many others who do. I've had them since childhood. I've always felt a sense of fear during the event and only recently have I read about it and tried to understand what it is. I've learnt to endure them, but not enjoy. Many times I've even had trouble breathing.
My last experience (last week) was very unusual because this time I felt as if a "presence" or "being" was lifting my legs up and only my shoulders and head was on my pillow, but I knew that my body was on the bed. This never happened before. I also felt as if there was more than one "being" or "presence" in the room and the other one dashed quickly across the room from my doorway to the bed and then 'vanished' but it frightened me when it seemed to be rushing towards me as if attacking. This is also the first time I've experience more than one "presence" when I have this paralysis. I've recently started meditating and exploring psionic ability (only just beginning to draw or sense energy) and none have really manifested as far as I can tell, but I'm wandering if this experience with the sleep paralysis is linked to my recent studies/explorations. Any thoughts... please share.
Sincerely, Nicky

Hi Nicky.
In response to your reply, I would say it is most certainly connected to your experiences.
Much like yourself, I've experienced sleep paralysis throughout much of my life. In nearly all of these cases I would feel or see something menacing in the room. Actually, this is what got me into energy body development and astral projection, because they are all inter-related.
Just remember there is nothing out there that can harm you, despite what people say I dont beleive any harm can happen. I actually think the fear comes mainly from the unkown and not understanding why you are paralysed. Just relax, go with it, and see what happens!

Hi Mrsix,
Thanks for the reply. Have you been able to astral project from this state, or know anyone who has? I would like to know what I should do to get the most (positive, enlightening etc.) out of the experience.

I too have been 'pulled' out of my body into a full OBE. However, unlike many others, I felt that it was some type of strong energy, and not a discarnate, that pulled me 'out'. Though this has not happened in quite a while I still remember each of those OBEs because they were all dramatic. Grey

Did you, previous to this, express a desire to 'see more' or 'know more'? And, did I already respond to this at another site? It seems awfully familiar.
