Did I reach the astral realm?

I was wondering if someone can read my experience and say if I did reach the astral realm.

Part way through a lucid dream I was in a cafeteria and I asked if someone could escort me to the astral. Well a red haired woman stood up and the next thing I knew I was in a sort of old fashioned school. I remember looking at all the children there and I remember thinking how they were all dead people from earth.

I then approached a person and asked where this place was. She told me it was some sort of Network, I then laughed and said I knew all about the astral plane. Then after a few seconds a group of people came and left with her and I asked if I could join them where they were going.

In retrospect I felt I acted like a jackass!

I then went back to sleep and decided to go out of body. I was in a room very much like the one I slept in, only things were slightly different. I don't think I was out of body, I looked at the clock and it said 11:15, then I looked again and it was 12:40... in actuality it was like 9:30 AM. I spent these moments jumping up and down around the room. I then looked at a mirror (in a spot that used to be a mirror) and I looked at my reflection. I looked the same only very faded and my eyes had transparent rings around them. I could see why people say looking at their reflection is odd but I wasn't scared.

After that I went across the street to my neighbors house and by then things were totally different, it was castle-like.

I don't think I was out of body because things were so different, but would you say based on my experience I reached the astral plane? Or was it just a big lucid dream. Also, does anyone else feel a little embarrassed about how they act in the astral?

A lot of people say dreams take place in the astral. So really its anyones guess. I would say you were in part of it. I have from time to time acted like an idiot. Things like trying to communicate with someone yet not being able to stay in one place because I cant keep my mind under control, or thinking I know more than I really do when in a projection. I have learned to listen very closely to what Im being told, even if I dont see the point in it I will probably figure it out later.

If you're in a lucid dream, you're astral projecting. You are officially conscious and self-aware in a state of consciousness outside of physical awareness. From here it's a matter of how subjective your environment is to find out exactly where in the astral. If you want out of the "dream" and into a different environment, place firm intent on where you want to be.

Thats really weird the bit about looking in the mirror at your reflection, I get a lot of 'dreams' where I do this that then lead on to OOBES, but in the dream it's quite scary becuse I dream I'm pulling faces in the mirror, all grotesque and it kind of feels like I'm possessed, it scares me a lot, does anyone else get this? What is it?
