etheric projection helped by unseen presence

Last night i projected for the first time in a while through a lucid dream, as i was spionning and falling downwards in the dark i asked to meet my spirit guide..the projection was short and nothing really happened and after i returned to my body i woke up briefly and then got myself comfy again settled down and fell back asleep. 

Next thing i know i am floating above my body (i have not yet managed to walk in the etheric lol im still quite a beginner and often find myself floating up by my lampshade! i say this cos i have been wanting to control my movements while projecting cos floating aimlessly is frustrating and i often cant leave my bedroom!)

I felt something gently pulling me away from the bed, twisting me around and standing me upright.  Although i knew i should feel scared i didnt at this point cos the presence wasnt at all menacing. so then i walk over to my door with this presense supporting me behind me and i could only see v blurrily (also havent got my astral vision yet either LOL) and we go thru the door and on to the landing, i try to turn the light on but it  doesnt work and whatever is behind me helps me along forwards towards my housemates bedroom and i can see through the key hole her light is on so i try to walk in but whatever it is behind me pulls me back and holds me so i cant go in to her room (prob to protect her privacy cos she was still awake).....by then the strangeness of the situation hit me i was terrified and tried to scream my head off lol but obv my physical mouth wasnt workin and from my panic i woke up back in my body back in my bed.  Wish i hadnt got so scared cos thats the furthest away from my bedroom i hav managed to get in the etheric..dammit lol.

So my question is...could this be my spirit guide? and is this how they normally try to help you out of body? I kno they do do this but i never knew how, and it would make sense since moving away from my bedroom is actually the problem i have been having with etheric projection and that is what i was helped with.. hmm food for thought for me in work this afternoon!!...cheers any advice much appreciated!

A few years ago (June of 2004) I believe I was obe for a few seconds (this was before I really even started reading anything about astral projection) and I felt someone tickle my neck.  This was about 6 months before I knew my spirit guide's name. 

Then in June of this year (2007) I felt someone pull me up by my armpits and help me out of my body.  I don't remember much else about this experience except that the next thing I knew I was headed towards my bedroom ceiling, and may have passed through it.

I always assumed it was either my main spirit guide, or a spirit guide specifically sent to me for astral projection purposes.

i'm also quite new to OBEs,but i can say that both times i've asked for a guide,i've felt their presence,and heard them talk to me.
 i reckon if you ask for them-they'll be there.
the last time was two weeks ago,and i was given some advice which has had a HUGE effect on my life already.just a couple of words,but they were sooo relevant to me,every time i think about it,in waking life,they give me the power to make the right decisions.(i have a few self destructive habits that keep holding me back)but now i have more power over them.i don't know if it was a guide,or my higher self-whatever it was,it's helping me progress in my journey.

yes i agree, everytime i have asked for a sign, a dream helping me understand a situation or in this case to meet my spirit guide i have received....its amazing!
