what I think it is, is the sub conscious  hallway when we see the checkered pattern our subconscious relates to it and it goes into our subconscious. MANY MANY t.v. shows show this because hollywood is controlled by a group of people that know this type of stuff. The term "it's just a movie" really sticks into peoples minds so if you want to cover somesort of truth (though I'm not stating this is TRUE) you put it right into the publics eyes.

Yes, I have seen that, actually. I saw it in my dreams and once while I was meditating, and it was some kind of crypt, and I'm pretty sure it had something to do with my past lives. I'm pretty sure I drew it at one point, but it's not very good tongue The checkered floor was all cracked, and the doors had linen curtains hanging over them.

I would also like to note that my exposure to films and TV is very small. I rarely watch either, to be honest.

I saw this symbol reflected on the wall in the mind awake body asleep state. It was accompanied by a really weird feeling and got engraved in my mind. Did anyone else see somthing similar?

I've been thinking the exact same thing. Noticed how many new Alien, Ghost, Super power -related shows that has aired recently?
