Strange experience

Recently I had a very strange... projection or dream about projection, I don't know exactly and I have no idea what it was. During last year I had 2 lucid dreams 'bout astral projection, I felt how I was leaving my physical body without any vibrations, just by flying up and without control over this flight, but I was appearing in unfamiliar places, that's why I decided it were dreams.

 But last experience was definitely different: I was very very very tired and decided to sleep during several hours in the daytime... usually I don't have LD's when I'm tired but today I had one just as continuation of my imagination, suddenly I felt that I'm starting flying uncontrollably moving higher and higher, at the same time I was feeling leaving my body. I was a bit terrified and decided to return to my body. I... woke up if I can say it so, sensation of flight was going on, I had difficulties with motion (but I wasn't paralysed), when I was closing eyes I was in different unfamiliar place, where there were a lot of familiar and unfamiliar people appearing and disappearing, all looking at me. When I opening my eyes all this feelings don't disappear, same flight, same place, the picture was so bright that I was able to see it very good with open eyes. All this was so real that I even became uncertain if I was in my bed or in that place... Eventually it disappeared and after few minutes I fell asleep.

 Does anyone have any idea what it was or had any similar experience?

It's happened.  Sometimes when you AP (and that's how I would categorize your experience) from a dream that's how it feels.  (Speaking of the liftoff here).  As to the rest, when I AP a lot in the morning (multiple projections) and end up unconscious too long, I have trouble 'landing' back- I can return to my body and have the consciousness of still being out of phase with it (but in it at the same time) and see what my dreaming mind is dishing out- and it's hard to get back in phase with it.  I call it 'bilocating in place', for want of a better description.
This happens to me when I OBE in the morning and stay out too long- over an hour.  It's like my body goes into a mini-coma and then I have trouble reintegrating my energy body with my physical body- it doesn't seem to want to 'stay' in- and I can wake up, open my eyes, close it again, and be back where I was.  And if you have the time when this happens, you'll find that if you close your eyes again for a bit, you can AP while awake, and not paralyzed (you have to be very disciplined about not moving or opening your eyes).  This has not happened to me too often (maybe 2 or 3 times) and the conditions have been the same all times.
It's a weird world we live in!

 Very interesting... so it was something like my first OBE, I had only two or three 'real' projections before in which I was just was moving my astral hands without leaving my body, never felt usually described noices (sometimes voices in my head but after some LDs), never saw familiar places in such 'projections' (one time I saw my bed but in another town).
 Well, thank you, seems I had to pay more attention to such experiences, because all this projections and LDs begun without any preparations, I did nothing to became astral travaler, just 5 times tried to do AP 3 years ago, with two first times being partly succesful (when my astral hands left my physical ones). I should think what might have induced thise projections...
