AstralBeginnings, can you please post back to this thread in a week or so and let us know if what you learned during that experience has actually helped you to project more reliably?

I have occasionally meditated on psychotropics and it seemed to come very easily to me, and I always felt afterwards that I had learned a new technique or approach that would make it very easy to reach the same deep state later on. It usually didn't work that way, although it is difficult to tell because these things are very subjective.

Anyway, I'd be very interested to know if this was indeed a useful experience for your long-term aspirations or if it was just a nice foray.

No not at all, its not illegal here its just nowhere to be found!

Its funny you should ask that because one of the things I mentioned earlier in this thread about "focusing on the blackness" was something I tried last night (un-aided). 

I woke up around 2am and felt restless and for some reason felt like trying the "focusing on the blackness" that I had discovered when projecting using Galantamine.  It took a few minutes for me to get "into the zone" - kinda like looking at a magic eye picture - but it worked and I had an RTZ OBE.  This time it was much clearer than when using Galantamine and I could move and fly like usual.  It didnt last long but I was extremely happy that something I learned when using supplements actually helped me project naturally.

I wish I could describe the process better but its literally like focusing on the blackness in my mind and drawing myself, or my focus, into it using what I can only describe as intent.  The blackness than envelops my focus and I get a sinking and rolling sensation and then I get a moment when I know I am non-physical.

Spiritual progress, specifically advancing 'skills' out of body, does not follow a linear time line. At least not for myself and, apparently, most people. Sometimes it takes weeks or months to process and 'integrate' a new astral experience ( here are a few past OBEs and APs that I'm still trying to fit into my 'scheme of things'). Other times the learning curve is very short and multiple OBEs/APs occur, and are vividly recalled, over a very short time. If this is true (and I strongly believe that it is) then you have just passed (aced?) some type of astral exam by showing obvious skills and ability to transition FAs into LDs and exit into an OBE at will.
