Hey all!

So I've heard talk about a 3D blackness sort of void. From what I have gathered, it is the area in between the physical and astral realms, correct me if I'm wrong. I've also heard people call it the "training ground". What is the 3D blackness? What is it composed of? Why has it been coined a "training ground"? How do you end up there? How do you get out, and into the astral? I would like to learn more about it.

We'll start with the "training ground".  The training ground was the term used by Frank to describe an area of consciousness he believed existed (at the time, back in 2002 when he first joined the Pulse) which what you experienced was entirely driven by your conscious/subconscious mind.  It's a concept separate from the Void/3D Blackness.
As he experienced more and more he eventually figured out that the training ground wasn't what he thought it was and he began to quickly stop using that term.  I believe he replaced it with his own "Focus 2", but that was built up a bit more with more detail.

As for the 3D Blackness, I'll just provide you with the short article I wrote on the subject not too long ago:
http://www.unlimitedboundaries.ca/2013/07/26/whats-the-blackness-in-the-3d-blackness/

Hmmm, ok, I thought I wrote more on the void.  Oh well, that should give you an idea.  Smiley
You're pretty much correct in that I've found it to be a kind of "in-between".  I don't experience it too often going INTO an experience, but I experience it 95% of the time coming OUT of an experience.  I've also experienced it while shifting between environments.  Things tend to "fade to black" (the void), then fade back into the new surroundings.

Very interesting! What's it like? And does anything manifest, or is it just empty? Also-- how do you get out of it, do you just will yourself awake/to your body?

It's a empty vast void. Sometimes it can appear as a grey mist, other times it's completely black. But what makes this area so unique is the depth that it appears to have. When you see it or are in it, you definitely know you are!  wink

When you experience it, it is crucial to control your thoughts. You are in the thick of THOUGHTS = ACTIONS "territory".

Imagine nothing.   Absolutely nothing.... all around you.

No sounds, no sights,  nothing.

That's the void.   It's essentially the lack of a reality.

Some people see pinpoints of light that may be or resemble a star field. I just get an infinite blackness, sometimes flat black, sometimes an inky depth.

It's a wonderful, quiet, peaceful place to hang out in; or you can express your intent and move into the blackness. Other times you can look into the darkness and find a texture or depth to it, which indicates a portal to somewhere and an experience.

I arrive there between experiences mostly, but I have started there once or twice.

It's a jumping off point to many dimensions. Also a great little vacation hotspot.

I'm not sure that Frank ever changed his opinion that the Void was Monroe's Focus 21, the entrance to the Astral levels.

 I definitely agree!  smiley

It's total peace and tranquility at it's best!  wink

You can use it as your "launching pad" or you can just absorb yourself into it and relax!  cool

If you can pull yourself out of a lucid dream very slowly, you'll be in this 3D void.
No thoughts of anywhere else, including your body or you'll take off from this launchpad.
It's THE place to do your best in staying as long as you can enjoying is pure tranquility.
The ultimate personal pure conciousness of self can be realised here.

This is the only way I know how to project. I run as fast as I can from LD and everything goes black. It isn't peaceful or still though. It's more like I'm hurtling through space and I can't stop. If I make a request 'take me somewhere' or or whatever I get dropped into a scene but I haven't managed to stay there for too long. I've tried staring into the blackness but to no avail. When I leave a scene by say flyinfg upwards, I get back there but again not for too long. Also it looks mostly like space with twinkling dots of light. Once I saw planets with numbers on them too so maybe it isn't the void after all... I've  only done this like half a dozen times in the last couple of months though so maybe inexperience counts for something.

I experience this "star field" effect and it's what helps me get into the full blown 3D black void. Glad to hear others experience it as well, I don't believe I'd read that anywhere  smiley
